Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons

Chapter 110 Is it necessary to ask Tang Seng’s mother’s opinion before eating his flesh?

When Xiong Shanjun and Te Chushi heard that General Yin actually hoarded three living people, they immediately drooled. Te Chushi immediately said, "Even firewood is good, I love to eat firewood." It turned out that he was actually a wild bull that had become a spirit. When he was a bull, he would accept any dry grass or firewood, let alone human flesh.

The little monsters also said happily: "My king, please give us some of the rest so that we can have a taste!"

General Yin readily agreed, and with a wave of his hand, he was about to let the little monsters go down to clean up and cook. Huo Ling'er saw that all the monsters in the cave were jumping for joy, and knew that she could not stop them. Just as she was about to get angry, she suddenly heard Wen Jiao, who was in her sleeve, say, "Sister Huo, we don't know where they hid Xuanzang. If we start fighting, the situation will be chaotic. It will be bad if they hurt someone. Tell them this."

After hearing this, Huo Ling'er said, "Wait a minute! I know a recipe from Chang'an that is perfect for cooking human flesh."

"Madam Lion, please speak." The three demons said in unison.

Huo Ling'er pouted, "It's nothing new. I just heard from other monsters that human flesh is best eaten fresh. The fresher the better. It's best to drag the person here alive, tie him to a stake, and pour clean water on him - it's best to use very clean mountain spring water - then sharpen the knife very quickly, slice the flesh from the living person into thin slices, roll it in mountain spring water, and it will be tender and delicious."

"As expected of a demon from the imperial capital, he is so particular about food. Where did he get the idea from?" The three demons said happily. General Yin immediately ordered the little demons: "Didn't you hear what Lady Lion said? Hurry up, get some spring water, and then drag those three people up!"

If we start from the modern theory of absolute equality of all living beings, then there seems to be no difference between monsters eating humans and animals. Since humans can eat animals with peace of mind, then why can't monsters eat humans?

In fact, people who have such doubts ignore the fact that in the world with the background of cultivation and ascension, there is an unwritten ethical rule, that is, humans are the most intelligent creatures in the world.

If a human cultivates, he will improve a hundred times faster than a monster. But if birds, beasts, flowers, plants, and trees want to cultivate, they must first work hard to absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, and after several years, they can open their spiritual wisdom. After several more years of hard work, they can barely speak, and after many more years of hard work, they can shed their animal form and cultivate into a human form. After they have achieved perfection, they will ascend to the upper realm in human form.

Even if there are a few who have not forgotten their roots and retain some of their original features, they generally maintain their human form. For example, Wukong, although he has a monkey face and is covered with hair, he does not really crawl on all fours all day long; the star official of the Pleiades, although his face is strange, does not really swing around with a huge fleshy crown on his head. There are some who run around in their original form, but they are all mounts. Since they are willing to be inferior, there is nothing to say.

Therefore, the moment the monsters acquired human form, they separated from their original species and generally became part of the human genus.

How many readers have you seen people capture and eat living people just to satisfy their appetite? Even if there are, they are like demons and should be punished by everyone. For example, no matter how much Guangdong people love gourmet food, they will not really capture a Hujian to make a delicious soup.

Therefore, when a demon is a beast, eating humans to fill its stomach will only be condemned as harmful, but there is no moral stain. But after becoming a spirit, if it still enjoys eating humans, it is a vicious creature that is difficult to get rid of its wildness and difficult to achieve great things. Every cultivator has the obligation to kill it.

Naturally, those who have the support of Bodhisattva or a cheap nephew named Tathagata Buddha are not included in the discussion.

Huo Ling'er watched the three people being dragged up by the little monsters, trying her best to hide her disgust. But Xuanzang saw her and recognized her iconic red dress. He moved his mouth and almost cried out in surprise subconsciously, but Huo Ling'er glared at him hard, and he closed his mouth in joy.

"Great, since Fire Donor is here, then my mother must not be far away." Xuanzang was confident, and even when he was tied to a pillar by the little monsters, he could still smile confidently while listening to the sound of sharpening knives. The two servants who were tied together with him were already scared out of their wits, but seeing him so calm, they couldn't help but admire him: "What a master who puts life and death aside!"

The little monsters fetched some fresh spring water and sharpened their knives until they were shiny and sharp. Just as they were about to start, they heard Huo Ling'er shout again, "Wait a minute!"

General Yin wiped his saliva and said, "Madam Lion, do you have any other advice?"

Huo Linger reached into her sleeve and said, "I suddenly remembered that if we want to cook these three people, it is very important to have someone's opinion."

The three demons were confused: "What's your opinion? Is it some more sophisticated cooking method?"

Huo Linger took out a little man, and the man spoke in human language. His voice was very clear and echoed on the stone walls of the cave: "I don't have any cooking method. But if you want to kill my son and eat his meat, shouldn't you ask for my opinion first?"

After saying that, she changed into a human-sized figure, a beautiful lady in green clothes like emerald leaves, exactly Wen Jiao. She took off a golden bracelet from her arm, threw it into the air, and caught it. The sword light was like a dragon, and three purple lightning bolts were raised, slashing directly at General Yin, Xiong Shanjun and Te Chushi. The ferocious momentum of the three demons when they were discussing eating human flesh was useless at this time. They watched helplessly as the thunderbolt that could destroy the demons' livers and gallbladders struck them, and they didn't even have time to dodge.

There was only a chilling roar, followed by a slight sound of fat splattering, and in an instant the three monsters turned into three giant barbecues that were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

The aroma of cooked meat filled the cave, and Huo Linger couldn't help swallowing her saliva.

Wen Jiao looked around with a sharp gaze, forcing the little monsters to lie on the ground without even daring to beg for mercy: "Since you haven't committed any murder, I will only punish the chief culprit today. As for you, I will let you go. If there are any more evildoers who hurt people, there are three monsters like you. Why don't you get out of here?"

The little monsters woke up as if from a dream and scattered.

Wen Jiao walked up to the three people, used her hands as blades, and flicked them a few times, and the ropes on the three people broke with a sound. The two servants recognized her and fell to the ground as soon as they were freed. They fell to the ground and kowtowed: "Thank you Master Jingrong for saving my life. I will never forget your kindness. When we return home, we will definitely set up a longevity tablet for you, and burn incense and worship you every day with the whole family!"

Wen Jiao said, "If you continue to follow Xuanzang on your journey to the West, you will encounter difficulties like today. I won't be able to come to your rescue every time."

The two smiling faces of relief at having escaped a disaster froze, looked at each other, and cried, "The emperor has given us an order, how dare we disobey?"

Wen Jiao soothed them, "How about this, you two come with me back to Chang'an, and I will report to the emperor on your behalf and explain the whole story. Just say that Xuanzang already has a divine disciple to help him, so slaying demons and monsters is no problem. You two are just mortals, and following along would only be a burden. The emperor is very understanding, so he will naturally not blame you."

Xuanzang interrupted: "That's good. It's a bit of a burden to bring them along... But mother, when did I get a divine disciple to help me?"

The two servants were stunned: "The Master and the Mage are actually mother and son?"

Another old Taoist with white hair floated over from nowhere and said, "Master, your future is to be helped by the gods, but how do you know that?"

Wen Jiao was speechless.

How can this scene be described with just one word: chaos!
