Infinite Travel: I know a lot of goddesses

Chapter 7! The beginning of trust

After Jill had armed himself, the two left the room and went to explore the mansion further.

After going out, Shen Ye walked faster and walked directly in front. His actions directly caused dissatisfaction from Jill, who was pushed away by him.

This strong-willed woman thought Shen Ye was deliberately showing off, so when she passed a corner in the corridor, she quickened her pace and got ahead of Shen Ye.

Shen Ye was stunned for a moment. He looked back and asked in a low voice: "Ms. Valentine, what do you mean?"

Jill had already arrived at the door of a room and was using her ancestral superb lock-picking skills to open the door. Hearing Shen Ye's words, she said unhappily, "You looked like a rooster courting a mate just now."

A rooster seeking a mate?

"It seems that you misunderstood me, Ms. Valentine, even though you are stunningly beautiful." Shen Ye didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He knew that his previous actions had made Jill think wrongly.

He didn't want to show off in front of Jill, mainly because he knew that after the Alpha Team separated in the mansion, their captain Wesker had been secretly monitoring them, and might be following them now.

Shen Ye didn't want to be suddenly shot by Wesker. After all, to Wesker, he was a bug that accidentally broke into the script he had written.

Obviously Jill didn't understand what Shen Ye meant.

Shen Ye was too lazy to explain any further. When he saw Jill unlock the door, he stretched out his hand and politely invited Jill to come in.

In response, Jill rolled her eyes.

After entering the room, the two began to search. Of course, compared with Jill, Shen Ye showed little interest. After just flipping through the room a few times, he held the gun and looked at the ceiling.

This place looks familiar to him!

He thought about it, walked to the door, opened the door that Jill had closed when he came in, and leaned against it with the gun in his arms.

At this time, Jill made a new discovery. She found a fully loaded Remington shotgun in a display window in a small room in the room.

"Shen, look, what did I find?" Across the room, Jill waved the newly found shotgun at Shen Ye in surprise.

But before she could be happy for long, she heard a sudden "click" sound in the room and was startled.

"Did you hear that? Shen." Jill asked Shen Ye.

"Of course." Shen Ye nodded. He patted the door he was leaning against and said, "You probably triggered the mechanism in the room."

"Mechanism?" Jill rushed out of the small room vigilantly, and then looked into the small room, but there was no change in the objects in the room. There was no portrait that suddenly fell, nor was there any wall that suddenly cracked. It was just the same as when they first came in.

"It seems... nothing has changed." Jill said uncertainly.

"There is indeed no change. It seems that you are lucky and the mechanism has failed." Shen Ye grinned.

"Is it?"

Jill looked at the shotgun in her hand in confusion, but she didn't think much about it. She felt that it was just as Shen Ye said, the mechanism had failed.

So she left the small room contentedly. Although Shen Ye had given her a shotgun, she didn't think it was too little.

When passing by Shen Ye, Jill stuffed the new shotgun into his arms.

"I'll find a rifle and return it to you," Jill said, and walked out of the room.

Looking at Jill's leaving back, Shen Ye shook his head and followed him.

However, as soon as he left, the door behind him that he was pressing on suddenly slammed shut, followed by a sound of sliding gears in the room.

The mechanism has been activated...

Jill, who was just about to enter another room, was startled by the sound. She glanced at Shen Ye who was walking towards her with an expressionless face, then glanced at the room they had just been in, and suddenly an idea flashed through her mind.

"He saved me."

“I almost turned into a sandwich.”

……

Although Shen Ye cannot reveal the plot directly, he can still avoid some dangerous things in the plot.

But in this case, Jill was sure that he must know the secret of the mansion.

Even after they had searched several rooms, Jill kept asking questions.

And Shen Ye kept answering that he happened to see the functional diagrams of some of the mechanisms in the mansion on a computer in another room.

Of course Jill didn't believe it, and just when she was about to ask for the tenth time, her walkie-talkie suddenly rang.

A mature male voice came from the intercom: "Jill, where are you now?"

Hearing this voice, Shen Ye of course knew who it was, Barry, the one who was threatened by Wesker with his family and became a mole.

"I... I'm still in the mansion. What about you?" Jill glanced at Shen Ye and answered. She did not reveal his existence to Barry.

"That's good, Jill, stay in the mansion and don't go to the cabin next to the mansion. There are dangerous monsters there. Don't..." Barry didn't finish his words before the communication was interrupted.

Jill worriedly called Barry's name several times into the intercom, but got no response. She resisted the urge to throw the intercom and cursed, "Damn it, I've said it before, those guys in charge of purchasing should be dragged out and shot."

Then he said to Shen Ye: "Shen, something seems to have gone wrong with Barry, I think..."

Originally, she didn't need to say this, but when she thought that Shen Ye might have just saved her, this respectable policewoman suddenly felt a little embarrassed.

"You want to find him, don't you?"

Jill nodded: "Of course, you don't have to go. I think it's safer to stay in the mansion."

Indeed, except for the mechanisms that have not been triggered yet, the zombies and BOWs in the mansion have been almost dealt with, and staying here is a very good choice.

However, how could Shen Ye give up the opportunity to go with Jill? He patted his rifle and said, "I'll go with you. One more person means more strength, right?"

Jill looked at Shen Ye, with a touch of emotion on his face: "Shen, no matter what, my trust in you has increased."

"Thank you very much, Jill." Shen Ye smiled slightly and changed the address.

Next, the two prepared to leave the mansion and look for the location of the cabin.

In fact, they didn't need to look for it at all. As soon as they came out of another exit of the mansion, they saw a long and narrow path, and then they found that there seemed to be a small wooden house at the end of the path.

Shen Ye knew that there was something there, so his expression became serious at this moment, and he began to check his guns and ammunition to make sure that there would be no mistakes when fighting.

Jill looked at him with some curiosity. When they were in the mansion, Shen Ye had never been so serious. Even when he was besieged by zombies, he could pull the trigger very calmly.

When Jill couldn't help but ask the question in her heart, she got an unexpected answer:

“I don’t want to be a male mom.”
