Reborn Troops

Zhou Wanwan closed her eyes tightly. She could feel Gu Ming's cold fingers tightly pinching her neck. Fear and despair grew in her heart. She couldn't breathe or move, as if time had stopped.

At this critical moment, a figure suddenly appeared in front of Zhou Wanwan. She opened her eyes and was surprised to find that it was Qin Chi. His tall figure stood between Gu Ming and Zhou Wanwan, like an indestructible mountain.

"Let her go!" Qin Chi's voice was full of determination and anger. He clenched his fists tightly and stared at Gu Ming sharply.

Gu Ming smiled slightly and slowly loosened his fingers. Zhou Wanwan was finally able to breathe. She stood up trembling and looked at Qin Chi gratefully.

"You are really a hero who saves the beauty, Qin Chi." Gu Ming sneered, with a hint of viciousness in his eyes.

Qin Chi looked at him calmly and said word by word: "I'm not a hero, I just think you're going too far. Do you think violence can solve the problem?"

“Solve the problem?” Gu Ming laughed sarcastically, with a crazy light flashing in his eyes. “I do this just to let her know that without me, she is nothing!”

"You are wrong, Gu Ming." Qin Chi's voice was gentle. "A person's value is not determined by others, but shaped by his own efforts and dedication. Zhou Wanwan has proved her own value, and she does not need your willful manipulation."

Gu Ming was stunned for a moment. He didn't expect Qin Chi to say that. He stood there stiffly, and his heart seemed to be touched by Qin Chi's words.

Zhou Wanwan walked to Qin Chi, gently held his hand, and said gratefully: "Thank you, Qin Chi. You gave me a lot of comfort and made me feel that I am no longer alone."

Qin Chi smiled slightly, his eyes looking at Zhou Wanwan tenderly. "You don't have to thank me, I just did what I should do. No matter what happens, I will protect you."

Gu Ming watched the interaction between the two, his heart filled with jealousy and anger. He sneered and pulled out the blade in his hand.

As time passed, Zhou Wanwan's mood fluctuated. She hoped that Qin Chi could defeat Gu Ming, but she was afraid that he would be hurt.

Just when she was about to despair, Qin Chi suddenly kicked Gu Ming sideways and sent him flying. He took the opportunity to grab Gu Ming's wrist and snatched the blade away.

"Give up, Gu Ming." Qin Chi looked at him coldly, his eyes full of victory. "You have already failed, there is no need to continue."

Gu Ming stared at Qin Chi fiercely, with a sneer on his face. "Do you think this is the end? I will never let you off easily!"

As soon as he finished speaking, an alarm suddenly sounded around him. Gu Ming laughed, with a hint of madness in his eyes.

"It seems that someone has discovered our whereabouts. You can't escape!" Gu Ming said with a proud smile.

Qin Chi frowned, he knew that Gu Ming was telling the truth. He held Zhou Wanwan's hand tightly and said with determination: "Let's go together. No matter what happens, I will protect you."

Zhou Wanwan looked at Qin Chi deeply, she could feel his firmness and determination. She held his hand tightly and nodded tremblingly.

They turned and ran towards the escape route, the sirens behind them becoming louder and louder. They didn't know what difficulties and dangers lay ahead, but they were determined to face them together.

Qin Chi and Zhou Wanwan rushed to the escape passage. The alarm behind them became louder and louder, accompanied by the sound of approaching footsteps. Their heartbeats accelerated, and they felt the urgency of escaping.

"We have to leave here as soon as possible!" Qin Chi shouted, pulling Zhou Wanwan's hand and running while looking for an exit.

"But what should we do?" Zhou Wanwan asked anxiously, "They must have set up a lot of guards and traps."

Qin Chi thought for a moment and decided to bypass the main passage and look for other more hidden exits. "We must find a route that can avoid them." He said.

The two of them quickly shuttled along the corridor, carefully avoiding possible traps. They noticed the security camera on the wall, and Qin Chi quickly found a blind spot and pulled Zhou Wanwan to the next floor.

On the next floor, they encountered an iron door with a chain link guardrail. Zhou Wanwan began to worry, not knowing how to open it.

"Let me do it." Qin Chi said calmly. He carefully observed the lock core on the door and found a way. He took out the tools and started to operate, and soon successfully opened the door.

The two hurried through the iron gate and continued to escape from the pursuit. They entered a seemingly abandoned basement with vines and dust on the walls.

"Let's hide here for now and wait for the situation to calm down." Qin Chi suggested. They found a corner to sit down, and Zhou Wanwan quietly snuggled up to Qin Chi.

"Thank you, Qin Chi." She whispered, "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't know what to do."

Qin Chi patted her shoulder gently and said softly, "It's okay, I will always protect you." His voice was full of firmness and warmth.

They sat there quietly, taking in each other's presence and comfort. Time seemed to stand still, and the sound of their breathing became the only sound.

Suddenly, a strange sound came from deep in the basement. Qin Chi and Zhou Wanwan raised their heads at the same time and looked around vigilantly.

"What's that sound?" Zhou Wanwan asked in a low voice.

Qin Chi listened attentively and found that the sound was getting closer and closer. They changed their hiding place and dared not make any sound.

A huge black shadow suddenly appeared at the door. Qin Chi and Zhou Wanwan couldn't help but gasp as they saw a figure wearing a black cloak.

"Who are you?" Qin Chi asked vigilantly.

The man in black slowly approached, his face covered tightly by his cloak. "I'm here to help you." His voice was low and cold.

Qin Chi and Zhou Wanwan looked at each other. They were not sure whether they could trust the man in black.

"Why do you want to help us?" Zhou Wanwan asked in a low voice.

The man in black stopped, his eyes flashing with a complicated look. "Because you are wrongly accused, I believe you are innocent." There was a hint of sympathy in his voice.

Qin Chi and Zhou Wanwan felt the sincerity of the man in black, and they decided to trust him. "What is your plan?" Qin Chi asked.

The man in black handed a key to the two and said mysteriously: "This is the key to freedom. Use it to open the exit of the basement and you will be able to escape from here."

Qin Chi and Zhou Wanwan took the key with gratitude and expectation. They knew that this was just the beginning of their escape, and there were more difficulties waiting for them...
