Nasida

, whose real name is Buyer, is the grass god among the "Seven Rulers of the Earth". He is nicknamed "Little Auspicious Grass King" by the Xumi people. He is the youngest of the Seven Gods and has been around for 500 years. Listening and observing are important ways for Nashida to understand the world. Perhaps because she has lived in the Jingshan Palace for a long time, Nashida has a strong curiosity about everything in the world.

Nashida lives deep in the Pure Palace, never taken seriously, and rarely mentioned. She has a heavy responsibility, and never stops even when she sees darkness and experiences loneliness. For Nashida, saving the World Tree is her mission and top priority. She will continue to look for ways while striving to grow into a more qualified god. Occasionally, she will take on the responsibility of the "God of Wisdom" and enlighten her lost people.

Identity background

Long ago, the Grass God created the Xumi Rainforest and bestowed wisdom on the people through the Ministry of Education. Her reputation is everywhere, and thousands of stories have been created to spread her deeds and virtues. In the eyes of the people, the existence of the Grass God is more like a symbolic symbol - therefore, they can be sure that the protection of the gods has existed on this land since ancient times. The wisest in the city worships the Grass God, and the people follow her unswervingly. The "void" system that affects many things is the ears and eyes of the "Little Auspicious Grass King".

It gave her the ability to experience people's joys, sorrows, anger and happiness, allowing her to hear and see everything, and let her understand voices beyond praise. The more she knew, the more she knew she had to keep learning. Only by growing up as quickly as possible could she face the threats from the deepest part of the world. She couldn't escape, that was her mission that she couldn't avoid. Even though not many people were dissatisfied with the status quo, Nashida remained steadfast. Her tenacity came from her belief, and she understood better than anyone else that here, she would be everyone's sustenance and support.

Only prophecies and wonderful words that explain true knowledge can adorn the Goddess of Wisdom, so all her clothes are regarded as holy words by believers [37]. Nashida's overall color scheme is mainly grass green, with gray and white as a supplement. She looks like a young girl with a pair of elf ears.

Her long white and grayish hair is tied into a side ponytail, with a distinct green gradient at the end, and a young leaf on the right side of her head symbolizing her identity as a new god. Nashida's iris has a dark green base, and her cross-shaped pupil is light green, shaped like a four-leaf clover, surrounded by a circle of dark green lines.

Nashida wears a green cape and a white bud skirt. She wears white pumpkin pants with golden stripes on the surface and light green leaf patterns on the inside. She wears white socks and shoes with metal patterns on the outside. Her headdress is a combination of a four-leaf clover and a heart-shaped leaf. She has metal bracelets on her arms, including a lock-like decoration on the cape behind her.

Nashida has been learning about human emotions. Through her observation of humans, she can know what kind of reactions humans will have due to certain behaviors, but it is difficult for her to grasp the other person's emotions. After learning, Nashida gradually understood and thought from the perspective of humans, but her understanding and touch, compared with the pain that humans actually experience, may not even reach one percent. Therefore, she does not think this is empathy.

Ultimate Knowledge

In Nashida’s view, everything is interconnected and everything can point to “fate” [9]. In her view, everything that can be felt in the world, everything that can be known, and everything that has happened to people is knowledge.

If it is knowledge, it must be understood. But only fate, the things that have not happened to people, always arouses her curiosity. So in her eyes, "fate" is the ultimate knowledge.

It is for this reason that Nashida loves to observe humans. Seeing everything that happens to them brings her satisfaction. [40] Although she has been observing people, she has never been good at imitating them. Nashida likes to use metaphors. She believes that metaphors are a wonderful tool that can use known knowledge to understand unknown knowledge.

Although Nashida understood a lot of great principles, she had little knowledge of common sense.

Compared with the omniscient and omnipotent Great Compassionate Tree King, Nashida believes that she is far from being worthy of the title of "God of Wisdom". The Council of Religious Orders is more familiar with the governance of the country, and her existence does not have that much significance.

So she kept learning every moment in Jingshan Palace, hoping to grow into a qualified god as soon as possible. This cognition was broken until she was about to be replaced by the new god created by the sages. She should not ignore her own voice. Self-deprecation will only make the sages more presumptuous. Before being a good god, you must first be a good person.

After the Great Compassion Tree King disappeared, the sages found the newly born Nashida and took her back to Mount Sumeru. At the time, she was very young and weak, so the sages locked her up in the Pure Palace in the name of "protection" and hardly cared about her anymore [14]. After returning to Mount Sumeru, Nashida never left the Pure Palace and never appeared in public [6].

Nashida lives deep in the Pure Palace, and has never been taken seriously or mentioned. She keeps learning all kinds of knowledge, just to grow into a qualified god faster and start guiding the people as soon as possible. If it weren't for the threat of the "taboo", wouldn't she want to take a break and see the countless creatures on Mount Sumeru with her own eyes? Now she can only see the colorful world in her dreams. In the pure land of her mind, she keeps company with the sun and the breeze, makes friends with humans and animals, tells stories, plays games, and sings songs she has just learned. She puts all her best aspirations into her dreams, but no matter how noisy the night is, when the day comes, she will return to silence. [4]

Although it looks like a common toy storage box, it contains mostly experimental imitations. Nashida is very interested in all kinds of popular games. They have simple rules, but they are fun and deep. Whether it is puzzle solving or confrontation, people will be addicted for a long time. Simple but not simplistic, it reflects the designer's "Nashida's 'Toy Box'". Deconstructing and recasting is also a rare learning opportunity.

However, the scholars of the Order would not accommodate her wild ideas, nor would they satisfy her desire for all kinds of toys, so she had to settle for the next best thing and only asked for some wood and tools. Based on the information provided by the "void" and combined with her imagination, she made all kinds of toys, such as chess and cards, puzzles, three-dimensional locks... The sense of accomplishment of completing the production made Nashida feel briefly satisfied, but soon she discovered another problem: if it was a competitive game, she could not find a suitable opponent, and if it was a puzzle game, as a maker, she would definitely know the solution. "It would be great if I could find someone to play with me." She often thought so. So until the most suitable person appeared, these toys would be temporarily piled in the box [52].

God of Mankind

Nashida would also have times when she was puzzled and could not figure out something, which often happened in events related to humans and society. For example, when telling the truth would exempt them from punishment, some people would choose silence and lies; when being with the one they truly loved, some people would often utter harsh words like a knife. It was as if the contradictions of the entire world were focused on and displayed on humans, and their emotional changes were unpredictable to Nashida.

The wonderful metaphor was no longer effective at this point. Even if she looked around the world, she could not find another chaotic system that could serve as a reference. She could only explain that everyone had their own unique characteristics, which caused them to have very different reactions when faced with similar emotions. But this did not satisfy her. To understand humans, it was not enough to rely on cold knowledge and dogma. Perhaps it was from this moment that Nashida understood why "she" had to stand firmly on the side of humans, even at the cost of great sacrifice. Each of "them" was unique in this world [27].

Dreams of the past

Dreamland

In Nashida's dreams, there is always a flowerpot. Every time she waters and fertilizes it, the same flower grows. For Nashida, although the harvest is completely certain, at least the butterflies that fly by after the flower blooms are of different colors, and sometimes there are bees [54]. In Nashida's dreams, there is always an hourglass. She likes to add a little water to it, stir it well, and see how long it takes to complete a cycle, and how much it differs from the last time. There is no pattern, no meaning, but it can take away the accumulated fatigue of the brain. "Nothing" is the fun of it [55]. In Nashida's dreams, there is always an empty space. No matter how the surrounding scenery changes, it will occupy the most important position. Nashida feels that there must have been something here, but even the power to drive dreams cannot get the answer [56].

Nashida’s dream had everything except people coming and going. But after meeting Sora, the place gradually became lively. Perhaps Sora played the role of a “guide” in the dream, which not only made Nashida’s dream more humane, but also led her out of the cage. [57]
