Rocot: Reborn

Chapter 10

In front of them stood a group of strangely dressed strangers, their armor flashing coldly in the dim light. The leading man sneered and waved his finger lightly, and the people behind him immediately dispersed and formed an encirclement.

Rocot glanced around quickly, thinking of a countermeasure in his mind. Irene stood nervously beside him, her eyes as sharp as an eagle, ready to fight at any time.

"Who are you?" Rocot asked, his voice cold and firm.

The leader laughed: "You don't need to know so much, just know that you can't get out of here today."

Rocot sneered, "Really? Then give it a try."

As soon as he finished speaking, Rokod rushed out like a cheetah, the long sword in his hand flashing with a cold light and pointing directly at the leader's throat. The man seemed to have expected it, and easily dodged sideways, waving his hand back, and a black mist spurted out from his palm, hitting Rokod's face.

Roccod quickly swung his sword to block the black mist, but he still felt a little uncomfortable. This black mist is poisonous. He was startled and became more careful.

Irene was not to be outdone, the dagger in her hand danced into a silver light, and she quickly dealt with the two enemies who rushed forward. Her movements were agile and swift, and the enemies could not get close to her at all.

However, these enemies were not as easy as they seemed. As soon as Irene dealt with two, more enemies swarmed in. Her physical strength began to deplete, and her movements became a little slow.

Seeing this, Roccod became anxious and shouted, "Erin, back off!"

Irene quickly retreated and stood back to back with Rocot. Rocot used his long sword to draw a line of defense, forcing the enemy back a few steps. He whispered, "We must find a way out. There are too many enemies here."

Irene nodded, a hint of determination flashing in her eyes: "Okay, let's break out together."

They quickly adjusted their tactics, with Roccod leading the way and Irene guarding behind. The two worked in perfect harmony, as if they were one. Despite the continuous flow of enemies, they continued to advance steadily.

Just as they were about to break through the encirclement, the leader suddenly shouted, "Activate the barrier!"

Instantly, the air around them began to twist, and a transparent energy shield trapped them in the center. Roccod thought to himself that it was not good, and chopped the energy shield with his sword, but there was only a crisp sound, and the energy shield did not move at all.

"Hahaha, Rocot, do you think you can escape like this?" the leader laughed triumphantly.

Cold sweat oozed from Roccod's forehead, and he was thinking of a countermeasure quickly. Irene held the dagger tightly, her eyes firm: "We can't give up, there is always a way."

At this moment, the ground suddenly shook, and a huge crack quickly spread to the bottom of the energy shield. Roccod and Irene looked at each other and immediately realized that this was their chance.

"Charge!" Roccod shouted, and jumped down with Irene into the crack.

It was pitch black inside the crack, but they could not think too much and could only keep moving forward along the terrain. The roar and pursuit of the enemy could be heard from behind, but gradually, the sound became farther and farther away.

Rocot stopped, panting, and looked back. "It's safe for now."

Irene also gasped for breath, but a smile appeared on her face: "I didn't expect you to be so energetic."

Roccod smiled bitterly: "This is just the beginning. This new world is really full of expectations."

They continued forward, and could vaguely see a faint light ahead in the darkness. Roccod clenched his sword, his eyes determined: "Let's go and see what else this world has to offer."

Just as they stepped forward, a stronger light suddenly flashed in the darkness, as if heralding a more dangerous and unknown adventure was about to come.

The originally clear sky suddenly became dark, and black clouds rolled in, completely blocking the sunlight. A strange beam of light fell from the sky, forming a door of light. Roccod and Irene held their breath and stared, and stopped at the same time.

"This is..." Irene frowned and spoke in a low voice.

Roccod swallowed and said, "Let's... go in."

They stepped into the door of light, their eyes blurred, and when they regained their vision, they found themselves in a grand and unfamiliar hall. There was no one around, and it was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.

Roccod looked around and took cautious steps. Irene followed closely behind him, observing the surroundings carefully. Suddenly, a huge stone door appeared in front of them, engraved with ancient runes.

"What is this place?" Irene asked, her eyes fixed on the stone gate.

Rocot shook his head. "I don't know either, but there must be a secret here." He reached out and touched the stone door. It was cold and hard.

At this moment, the stone door suddenly made a low roar and slowly opened, revealing a deep passage. Rocot hesitated for a moment, and quickly made up his mind: "Let's go. No matter what, we can't retreat." He straightened his body and stepped into the passage.

Irene followed him silently into the dim passage. The faintly glowing murals on the wall made the passage seem less deep. As they went deeper, the temperature around them began to rise and the air became drier.

Soon, the passage came to a huge hall, and the view was suddenly clear. The air was filled with an unpleasant pungent smell, as if mixed with the smell of metal and tar.

"Be careful," Rocot warned Irene softly, turning back to explain to Luna, "There may be danger hidden here."

Irene nodded to show that she understood, and she drew out her dagger, ready to deal with any possible emergency. They began to explore the temple, which was a product of the fusion of technology and magic that they had never seen before, even more advanced than the Shadow Realm.

Rocot fell behind, staring at the runes on the wall, trying to understand the legendary text. Suddenly, a stone slab on the wall seemed to have a sense of touch. As soon as he touched it, the stone slab moved slightly and opened a small groove. Inside was a yellowed map.

"It seems like this is some kind of guidance," Roccod frowned slightly, "Perhaps we can find a way out."

Irene quickly glanced at the map. "There's a route marked on it." She fixed her eyes, "Let's go."

So, they followed the markings on the map and began to walk through the intricate passages. The deeper they went, the more obvious the traces of technology became. The magic runes and mechanical devices embedded in the walls formed a strange landscape of this world.

After turning many corners, they finally arrived at a huge laboratory. In the center of the laboratory, a crystal ball floated in the air, and a faint blue light flowed inside the ball. Roccod frowned, he could feel that the laboratory was filled with powerful energy.

Irene stared at the crystal ball and whispered, "It seems that all the energy comes from it."

Roccod nodded, and he approached cautiously, reaching out to touch the crystal ball. At this moment, something strange happened, the crystal ball shone brightly, and a strong suction force was generated, pulling Roccod off the ground.

Irene immediately went forward to help, but was also affected by the traction. "Lockold!"

But Roccod's consciousness gradually blurred, and the only thing he could do was to hold on to the edge of the crystal ball tightly. Before he was swallowed by the light, he turned back and looked deeply at Irene.

At this moment, his consciousness was torn apart and he was brought into a completely different world in the crystal ball. Irene's screams gradually faded away, and the scene in front of his eyes changed rapidly, causing his head to split.

Roccod's consciousness was torn apart by a sharp pain, as if countless sharp blades had slashed through his brain, and his consciousness instantly fell into nothingness. The scene in front of him changed rapidly, and after a dizzy moment, he fell heavily to the ground. His head was splitting, making him almost unbearable.

As the pain eased, Roccod managed to raise his head and found himself in a completely unfamiliar environment - surrounded by towering thorn bushes, the air was filled with a heavy smell of dampness, and the sky was a strange purple, with a few strange flashes of lightning from time to time.

"Where is this?" Rocot struggled to stand up and muttered to himself. Everything that just happened seemed like a nightmare, but the pungent smell in the air and the cold soil under his feet reminded him that this was reality.

Roccod looked around cautiously, trying to find something familiar. But everything in front of him seemed so strange and weird that he couldn't pick up a sense of security. He knew that this place was full of unknown dangers, and he had to survive in this strange environment.

Suddenly, there was a rustling sound from the thorn bush behind him. Rocot clenched his fists and took a defensive posture. Then, a small winged creature flew out from the thorn bush, and the vibration of its wings made a slight buzzing sound.

"Be careful, stranger." A deep voice sounded beside Rocot's ear. The little creature stared at him with a vigilant light in his eyes. "You shouldn't enter this forbidden area."

Rocot narrowed his eyes and carefully looked at the creature that was speaking. Its body was covered with fine scales, and its wings on its back were gleaming with light. Although it was small in size, it exuded an aura that could not be underestimated. "Who are you?" Rocot asked, suppressing his inner tension.

The little creature did not answer, but stared at Rocot with its bright eyes. During this awkward confrontation, the surroundings began to change. The previously messy thorny jungle gradually revealed more hidden details, and the trees became more and more strange. Some of them were like twisted monsters, stretching out branches as if they would sweep him away at any time.

"This land does not belong to you, leave!" the little creature warned again, its tiny body filled with undeniable majesty.

Rocot sneered, "I want to leave, but you tell me how? I don't even know where this place is!"

Just when their conversation reached a deadlock, a strange roar suddenly came from afar. It was as if some huge mechanical device was running, causing the ground to tremble slightly.

"Follow me, maybe... you can find a way out." The little creature glanced at Rocot, then turned and flew in the direction of the sound.

Rocot pondered for a moment, weighed his options, and finally decided to follow. Although this new world was full of dangers, if he did not actively seek a way out, he would only be at a loss and wait for death in this unfamiliar land.

Following the guidance of the little creature, Rocot was filled with questions and anxiety. What fate would this strange world bring him? How would his journey of rebirth unfold? Adjusting his breathing, Rocot silently strengthened his determination. He knew that no matter how difficult the road ahead was, he had to face it head-on.

At this moment, the view suddenly became clear, and a huge vortex appeared in front of Rocot. Through the vortex, an abnormal force was pulling him, as if calling him to come. He could not help but grit his teeth and prepare for all the challenges that were coming.

Rocot took a deep breath, feeling the strange power. He took a step forward and stepped into the vortex. The scene in front of him blurred instantly. The wind was howling, as if it was going to tear him apart. Rocot clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, his heart filled with determination and vigilance.

After an unknown amount of time, the wind died down and the scene before him became clear again. He found himself standing in a completely different world. The sky here was a deep black, the stars sparkled like diamonds, and the ground was smooth obsidian, emitting a cold luster.

"Welcome to the Shadow Realm, Rocot." A deep and majestic voice came from all directions. Rocot looked around but couldn't find the source of the voice. He frowned and prepared to deal with possible threats.

"Who are you? Why did you bring me here?" Rocot asked coldly, his eyes full of vigilance.
