Rocot: Reborn
Chapter 34
The iron blades collided, magic sparks flew, and Rocot fought against the crowd alone, always so easily. Every step he took was a tremor in the space, and the air around him seemed to churn under his feet.
Clyde's troops could no longer maintain their formation, like puppets with their strings cut by a blade, and the orderly troops completely disintegrated under the pressure of Rocot's power. Rocot wielded energy at will, forming a field of death around him.
At this moment, a young man curled up in the corner suddenly raised his head. Blood was flowing down his cheeks, and his weak vitality seemed to be about to disappear in this merciless blizzard.
The boy tightly grasped a metal disc with a strange texture, muttering to himself, as if he was telling his last curse or hope for survival.
"You...are...saving me..." The young man's breath was weak, but the burning determination in his eyes was like an ancient star, still shining brightly even on the verge of disappearing.
Just as Rocot realized that the boy was different and was about to go forward to observe him in detail, a drastic change occurred.
"No one can touch him!" A sudden sharp shout cut off the noise of the battlefield. An old man in a straw raincoat appeared beside the young man at an astonishing speed, protecting him tightly, and then he and Rocot looked into each other's eyes.
The old man looked frail, but he exuded an aura of power that should not be underestimated. The eyes he looked at Roccod seemed to penetrate his soul.
Roccod was shocked by the old man's sudden appearance, and was even more wary of the unknown power in the disc. He instinctively grasped the forbidden technology tightly, and a surge of vigilance was already rising in his heart.
"What... do you want to do?" Rocot asked aggressively, but did not act rashly.
The old man leaned on his wooden stick, turned his head and looked at the young man behind him, smiled and said: "Boy, you came at the right time. Let me tell you that the wheel of fate has begun to turn..."
Before he finished speaking, an inexplicable light flashed in the old man's eyes. Then, the space around him twisted and flickered, as if the door to another world quietly opened. A storm was brewing, and the prelude to the struggle between countries was set off.
Rocot's eyes widened. He felt the history and memories of this land, as if countless strangers' experiences were emerging in his mind. The soldiers around him all collapsed to the ground. They suffered an unbearable mental shock.
"Oh, do you really think that I would step into this land without any preparation?" Rocot showed a confident smile. In front of him were the remaining subordinates of Clyde and a small group of Rocot, while more soldiers were left where they were to be baptized by the land.
The old man ignored him and said to himself: "Emperor Rocode, you will end the old era with your own hands, and we will follow you into the bright future." The old man bowed deeply to Rocode, then stood up. The space door behind him opened, and one armored soldier after another walked out.
“These are—”
"They are the loyal guards I have prepared for you, Emperor Rocot." Rows of soldiers in armor walked out from behind the old man. These soldiers held lightsabers in their hands, and behind them there was a pair of blue wings, which looked very strange.
"They are the 'Warriors of Light', combat weapons created by the ancient light magicians with their loyalty and fearlessness." The old man smiled and waved his hand. Ten thousand warriors of light surrounded Rocot and protected him.
"These are what you want, absolute loyalty, absolute power, and they have no emotions, they only know how to fight." The old man's voice echoed in the collapsed temple.
"Yes, yes, I was right about you." Rocot smiled and walked up to Clyde.
"I thought I could rely on my own strength, but I forgot that there is actually a simpler and faster way. Thank you very much for your reminder, but your men can no longer be left to you." The spear in Rocot's hand flashed with a faint blue flame, and Clyde's pupils shrank.
"No, don't hurt my comrades, Rocot. I can tell you a lot of valuable information, you must..." Before he could finish his words, Rocot swung his spear.
"People without value have no need to exist."
Disappointment and despair flashed in Clyde's eyes, and then he sighed and closed his eyes. The next second, a circle of black magic suddenly appeared in front of him, shaking the spear away. A young man in black armor stood in front of him, holding a sickle in his hand.
"Master, you've gone too far!" Alex said angrily.
"Oh? Are you finally showing up? I thought you were going to be a coward for a while. What? Are you going to choose to protect the family of the person who betrayed you?" Rocot mocked.
"That's not the case..." Alex shook his head, "but at least don't kill them all..."
"Oh? Really? Are you going to resist my order now, my servant?" Rocot smiled playfully.
"Of course I won't disobey your orders, Master, but maybe we can try another way." A wicked smile appeared at the corner of Alex's mouth.
"Oh? For example?"
"For example, you can use your power now to make those so-called loyal guards serve you." Alex said softly, with a strange light flashing in his eyes.
"You're right. It seems that I was overwhelmed by the scene in front of me and forgot the trump card in my hand." Rocot smiled and turned his gaze to the warriors in golden armor.
"But...where should I use it?"
"Is there any need to ask? Of course it's on that old man." Alex answered with a smile, then swung the sickle in his hand and cut open the barrier in front of him.
Fear and despair flashed in the old man's eyes, but he felt a sharp pain under his feet. Looking down, he saw that a small black flame had burned the magic circle of the barrier, destroying it.
"God is really helping me. Should I say you are unlucky or something? I just repaired a part of the damaged barrier, and you dare to use this flaw to stop me. Who can I blame?" Alex smiled triumphantly, then swung the sickle in his hand, ready to take off the old man's head.
"Wait! Do you want to break your oath, Alex?" Rocot's voice rang out, causing Alex to stop the sickle in his hand.
"That's not the case..." Alex shook his head helplessly, "I just want him to lose his power temporarily. Does that go against the oath? No..."
The blade cut through the space and then wrapped around the old man's neck, tying him up tightly.
