Rocot: Reborn

Chapter 51

"Yes, Mr. Hank. You can call me Rocot."

"I understand that you are a powerful warrior with extraordinary abilities." Hank paused, then continued, "But right now, there is a huge difference between our world and your power."

"That's right." Faced with Hank's blunt questioning, Roccod was not angry. He responded calmly, "That's why I need Carl's help."

Hank nodded slightly, with a trace of deep thought in his eyes. "I just want to remind you, Lord Rocot, that to the people of this world, your power is great, but not invincible."

He paused for a moment, then added, "Especially when it comes to the people we're fighting against."

Roccod raised his eyebrows. These words made him feel a little admiration for Hank's wisdom. This young man had insight beyond ordinary people, which was rare for a tactical master.

"I see, Hank. Thanks for the heads up."

"This is my duty, Master Coral." Hank stood up and saluted Rocot. "We hope that you can use your strength to help the resistance defeat the dictator."

As Hank disappeared into the night, Rocot looked at the open door with a barely perceptible smile on his face. This young man seemed to be a useful chess piece for him.

However, despite the warning in Hank's words, Roccod did not take it completely to heart. He knew the power he held in his hands, and even the opponent of the strongest man in the world could not easily ignore his existence.

For a former monarch of the Shadowlands, all the rules must be rewritten around his interests. Even in another world, this will never change.

When Roccod walked out of the dark underground warehouse, he found himself standing in a bustling city. The flashing neon lights, the dazzling billboards, and the floating vehicles constantly shuttling through the streets all demonstrated the advanced technology of this world.

Obviously, he came to the new century - a brand new world that combines technology and magic. And he himself is no longer the same as before. He glanced through a reflective glass on the roadside and was surprised to find that he looked like a young man in his twenties, with messy black hair and wearing an ordinary sports jacket, completely integrated into the fashion trend of this world.

Roccod took a deep breath. He could feel the mixture of magic elements and technological products in the air. This was both strange and novel to him. But he did not linger here. He had a more important goal in mind: to find the "Star Realm" guild that Carl mentioned. That was the key to his foothold in this world.

The comings and goings of people on the street made him feel an unprecedented vitality. Everyone had different professions, races and identities. In this era, mechanical modified people, biochemical gene modifiers, traditional magicians, and ordinary people who manipulate technological weapons together constitute this diverse world. As a controller, Roccod needs to master not only his own power, but also the ability to understand people's hearts and make plans.

As he was searching for the whereabouts of the "Starman" in the downtown area, a young man suddenly bumped into him in a hurry. "Sorry, sorry!" The young man apologized hurriedly. Roccod looked closely and found the edge of a smart device sticking out of his coat pocket.

"Wait," Rocot called to the young man, "What is this device of yours?"

The young man glanced at the smart device in his hand and looked at him in surprise. "You haven't seen this before? This is the latest smart assistance tool produced by 'Starlander'."

A gleam flashed in Rocot's eyes. "So, are you willing to sell it to me?"

The other party seemed surprised by his question, but soon smiled. "Of course, although it is a bit old, it is still very useful."

They quickly reached a deal. Rokod took the device and was very excited. Although this "smart assistance tool" was different from the interface and functions he was familiar with, he quickly figured out how to use it with the memory of his previous life. With the help of the device's built-in map and search function, he easily found a nearby meeting point for the "Star Worlder".

As Rocot stepped into the ordinary-looking coffee shop, he knew that he had taken another important step in his quest to take back everything that belonged to him.

On the edge of the future world, Roccod shuttled through the city of tall buildings like a ghost. The stars in the sky and the flashing neon lights on the ground complemented each other, forming a blurred scene. His steps were steady, and each step seemed extremely decisive, as if every step he took could cause an echo in the center of the earth.

"Lokode, former monarch, future ruler, do you really think you can get back everything you lost in this era?" A teasing voice came from not far away, breaking Rokod's inner peace.

Rocot turned around, his eyes as sharp as a sword, piercing directly in the direction of the sound. On the dim street corner, stood a figure wearing a black cloak, and the eyes under the cloak were equally cold, as if challenging Rocot's authority.

"Feng Chen, you are really like a mouse, hiding in a dark corner and peeking." Luo Kede said sarcastically, without any fear in his tone.

Feng Chen chuckled and walked out of the shadows leisurely. "I'm just curious about how a king who has lost everything can stand up again in this era where technology and magic coexist."

"It seems that you haven't understood yet, Feng Chen. In my eyes, any difficulty is not a problem, but a challenge." Lokod smiled slightly, his eyes seemed to see through Feng Chen and look into the distant future.

Feng Chen was not in a hurry to refute, he just quietly observed Rocot, as if trying to read something from his face. However, Rocot gave people the feeling of a bottomless pool of water, calm and deep, making it impossible to peek into his inner thoughts.

"Remember, Feng Chen. Heaven and earth are unkind and treat all things as straw dogs. I, Rocot, am no exception. There is nothing in this world that I cannot get." Rocot's voice was full of determination. He then turned around, blended into the crowd again, and disappeared into the night.

Feng Chen watched Rocot leave, with a complicated look in his eyes. He knew that Rocot's return was no accident, and this former monarch of the Shadow Kingdom would definitely stir up a protracted storm.
