After hearing these words, Lou Xiao'e felt even more pain and mixed emotions. She knew that this matter could not be easily resolved, and she needed time to think calmly.

As the night deepened, the silence in the yard was only broken by the occasional sound of the wind. Lou Xiao'e stood there, her body trembling slightly, tears pouring out like a spring. She suddenly took a step forward, threw herself at Xu Mingjie, and hugged him tightly, as if she wanted to melt into his arms, looking for a trace of comfort and support.

Xu Mingjie felt her trembling and crying, and his heart was heavy. He gently stroked Lou Xiao'e's hair and tried his best to comfort her. Although he was also in pain, he just wanted to support her as much as he could.

"Xiao'e, don't be afraid, I'm here." Xu Mingjie's voice was low and firm, full of warmth and comfort. "No matter what happens, I will be with you."

Lou Xiao'e didn't say anything, but just tightly grasped his clothes, tears flowing non-stop. She felt that every inch of her heart was filled with pain and anxiety. The family and feelings that she thought she could rely on were now shattered like an illusion.

Xu Mingjie hugged her gently, he felt her heartbeat and breathing, it was a silent call and help. He knew that this woman had occupied a special place in his heart, he didn't want to see her hurt, and even more didn't want to see her lonely and desperate.

After a while, Lou Xiao'e slowly let go of Xu Mingjie, raised her head, and tried to control her emotions. Her eyes were still wet, but her expression became more resolute and calm.

“Thank you, Mingjie,” she said softly. “I know now is not the time to solve the problem, but at least I don’t feel alone anymore.”

Xu Mingjie smiled and held her hand gently: "Xiao'e, we will face everything together. No matter what happens, you are not alone."

Lou Xiao'e nodded, then wiped away her tears and tried to regain her normal breathing and thoughts. She knew she had to deal with the problem calmly and not lose her mind because of emotional hurt.

"I need some time to think about it now," she said finally. "Maybe tomorrow, I'll find a chance to have a good talk with Lao Wang."

Xu Mingjie patted her shoulder gently and silently supported her decision. He knew that she had to face and decide all this by herself, and all he could do was accompany and support her.

The two of them walked around in the yard until Lou Xiao'e gradually calmed down. Xu Mingjie suddenly thought of some work matters and suggested: "Xiao'e, why don't we go back first and deal with tomorrow's matters tomorrow."

Lou Xiao'e nodded in agreement. They left Lao Wang's yard together and walked back to their own courtyard. During the whole journey back, although Lou Xiao'e was still in a heavy mood, at least she felt Xu Mingjie's company and support, which comforted her heart.

Back in the courtyard, they washed up and lay down on the bed. The light in the room was warm and soft. Lou Xiao'e lay on the bed, thinking about everything between her and Lao Wang. She didn't know what the future would be like, but at least Xu Mingjie was by her side at the moment, which made her feel inexplicably at ease.

Xu Mingjie also lay on the bed, closed his eyes, and thought about the next work and family issues. He knew that he had to deal with the things at hand as soon as possible and not let his emotions control his judgment and actions.

"Xiao'e, you will get through this." He said to himself in his heart, "We will face everything together."

With a trace of anxiety and worry, Ran Qiuye sat in the back seat of the taxi, and the scenery outside the car window was like an erratic painting. Her thoughts were wandering, recalling everything that happened today. On her way home from the company, she was already in a bad mood, but she didn't expect to see Lou Xiaoe and Xu Mingjie like this.

The taxi shuttled through the crowded city streets, the lights outside the car window were brilliant, and the pedestrians were in a hurry. Ran Qiuye looked up from time to time and tried not to think too much. She knew in her heart that the emotional crisis between Lou Xiaoe and Lao Wang was not just a storm, but a crisis that could deeply affect the life of the entire courtyard.

"Master, can we go back the same way?" Ran Qiuye finally couldn't help but speak, her voice sounded a little choked.

The taxi driver looked back at her and nodded slightly puzzledly: "Okay, I understand."

The car turned back to the intersection. Ran Qiuye was silent all the way. She was trying to control her emotions. She didn't know whether she should intervene, whether she should comfort Lou Xiao'e or Xu Mingjie. But she knew deep down that this was a matter between them and she couldn't intervene too much.

Back at the gate of the courtyard, Ran Qiuye paid the fare, got off the car, and stood there alone. She looked up at the courtyard that was once full of laughter and joy, but now it was filled with heaviness and silence. She took a deep breath and decided to go in to see if she could find Lou Xiaoe.

The courtyard was filled with faint lights, as if to avoid disturbing the tranquility of the night. Ran Qiuye walked into the courtyard and saw Lou Xiaoe sitting alone on a bench in the courtyard, hugging her knees, as if she was thinking deeply about something.

"Xiao'e." Ran Qiuye called softly and walked to her side.

Lou Xiao'e raised her head and saw that it was Ran Qiuye. She smiled bitterly and said, "Qiuye, why are you here?"

Ran Qiuye sat next to her and patted her shoulder gently: "I saw you and Mingjie... I know you must be feeling very complicated now."

Lou Xiaoe sighed, looking a little tired: "Yeah, things are moving too fast, I can't handle it."

Ran Qiuye looked into her eyes, feeling her inner fragility and uneasiness. She thought for a moment and said softly, "Xiao'e, no matter what happens, you must believe in yourself. Mingjie will always be by your side to support you, and so will I."

Lou Xiao'e nodded slightly, tears flashing in her eyes: "Thank you, Qiuye. I really don't know what to do now."

More than an hour later, Xu Mingjie finally finished the work at hand. He breathed a sigh of relief, turned off the computer, turned around and said to Li: "I'm sorry to have kept you waiting here for so long, you can leave now."

Yu Li stood up and said with a smile: "It's okay, your work is very important. But it's so late now, I should go back."

Xu Mingjie walked her downstairs, and they walked out of the company building together. The city was quiet and peaceful under the night, with almost no pedestrians on the street, and only one or two cars passing by occasionally.

"Let me call a taxi for you so you can get back faster." Xu Mingjie suggested.
