Chapter 232: Chasing the Thief into the Ghost Building at Night

Mingxi secretly groaned in his heart, but since he was already here, he couldn't show too much surprise and could only bite the bullet and order the dishes.

It seemed that Su Yang was deliberately making things difficult for Ming Xi. He ordered a large table of dishes by himself and started eating.

During the meal, Ming Xi racked his brains and interacted closely with Tang Tiantian carefully in order to make Su Yang believe that he liked girls.

Mingxi picked up a piece of tender and juicy beef, gently placed it on Tang Tiantian's plate, and said with a smile:

"Tang Tiantian, this is delicious, try it."

Tang Tiantian was slightly stunned, then she lowered her head shyly and whispered: "Thank you..."

After a while, Tang Tiantian accidentally got some sauce on the corner of her mouth. Ming Xi immediately picked up a tissue and gently wiped the corner of her mouth.

Tang Tiantian became even more shy, and her heart beat faster involuntarily, as if a deer was running around in her heart.

The night falls and the lanterns come on.

Tang Tiantian and Ming Xi said goodbye to each other reluctantly after dinner. Her reluctance was beyond words. She left, looking back every few steps, as if every step was carried out with endless attachment.

Ming Xi was supporting Su Yang, who was already a little drunk, and was holding the packed food in his hands, looking quite flustered.

Su Yang was mumbling something to himself, his steps were a little unsteady, and he only relied on Mingxi to support himself so as not to fall down.

"Su Yang, put your arm around my neck and stand firmly. I'll make a phone call and have someone come pick us up."

Su Yang waved his hands vigorously to refuse, "No... no need, let's go, let's go back... cool, burp~ cool down."

"Su Yang, look at your current condition. It's not safe for you to walk back. Let's get someone to pick us up."

But Su Yang was very stubborn, "I don't want it, I want to go back."

Mingxi tried to persuade him patiently several times, but Su Yang was stubborn and there was nothing she could do, so Mingxi had to support him and walk back slowly.

But as he was walking, he suddenly stopped and stood there stupidly.

"What's wrong?" Ming Xi asked anxiously.

"I'm tired... and sleepy, you carry me..." Su Yang said sleepily, looking like a naughty child.

Ming Xi was about to collapse, thinking to himself: "I told you to take the car a long time ago, but you refused to listen and now you are making a fuss about it again."

But he still said gently: "Su Yang, it's not that I don't want to carry you, it's just that I'm carrying things. How about this, I call someone to pick us up and take us home, okay?"

"No! I'll let you carry me on your back!" Su Yang acted like a rogue, and his stubborn look made people angry and funny.

Mingxi had no choice but to put the food down first and plan to pick it up again after carrying Su Yang on his back.

Don't ask why he didn't just ask Su Yang to carry it? The question is, this little bully won't do it!

Never imagined--

Just as he carried Su Yang on his back, a dark figure suddenly appeared from nowhere, as fast as a ghost, grabbed the food that Ming Xi had put on the ground and ran away. The speed was so fast that it was shocking.

"Hmm? Stay! Thief, stop, hiccup~don't run--!"

Now Su Yang came to life. He jumped off Mingxi's back, almost falling flat on his face, and stumbled after the man.

"Su Yang! Come back soon, we don't want the food anymore!"

Ming Xi was so anxious that he almost cried, fearing that this guy would accidentally kill someone again for no reason, so he hurriedly followed him.

The thief was agile, like a nimble civet cat, moving freely in the narrow alleys, jumping and rolling from time to time, avoiding various obstacles with ease.

Although Su Yang was drunk, his sense of justice made him unwilling to give up. He chased him while shouting, "You bold thief, stop right there!"

Ming Xi was chasing closely behind. He looked at Su Yang's stubborn back and his heart was full of worry.

The two turned left and right all the way and chased into an abandoned building. As soon as they stepped in, a rotten and damp smell hit them in the face. The building was in tatters, with piles of debris and garbage everywhere.

The paint on the wall had long since peeled off, revealing a mottled surface. The color was like dried blood, and it looked particularly strange in the dim light.

In the corners, spider webs hang layer upon layer like ghostly veils, seemingly telling forgotten stories.

Occasionally a cold wind blows, making a whistling sound, as if a mournful ghost is crying, which makes people feel creepy.

Mingxi was most afraid of the dark. She held Su Yang's arms tightly with both hands and moved forward slowly together with him.

With every step I took, I could hear my footsteps echoing in the empty building.

"Su Yang, let's go back. It's too scary here." Ming Xi said in a trembling voice. His voice sounded particularly small in the darkness.

Su Yang said nonchalantly: "What are you afraid of? He's just a thief. I'll catch him and enforce justice on his behalf!"

Relying on the faint light, Su Yang carefully searched for the thief's traces in the abandoned building.

Suddenly, a cold wind blew, making them shiver all over. Mingxi felt his hair stand on end, and he was about to cry.

"Su Yang... please, let's go home..."

"Tsk! Shut up." Su Yang scolded unhappily.

At this moment, they heard a slight sound of footsteps, as if someone was approaching them quietly.

"Who?" Su Yang shouted loudly.

The footsteps stopped abruptly, and the surroundings fell into a dead silence. Ming Xi's heart was in his throat, and he looked around nervously, fearing that something terrible would suddenly appear.

"Su Yang, let's go. I feel something is wrong here." Ming Xi persuaded again.

"No! We can't let the thief run away." Su Yang said stubbornly.

Just as they were arguing, a dark shadow suddenly passed over their heads at such a fast speed that they could not see clearly what it was.

"Ah——!" Mingxi screamed in fright.

Su Yang formed seals with his hands, and a red light instantly shot out from his palms, illuminating the surrounding darkness. The black shadow seemed to be frightened by the light and quickly disappeared.

Ming Xi hugged his waist tightly, trembling all over, and said in a trembling voice: "Su Yang, I'm scared... Let's go home."

Su Yang patted his back and said, "Don't be afraid, man. Let's look for a while longer. If we can't find it, we'll go back."

Just then, they heard a faint sound, as if someone was whispering.

"Su, Su Yang, did you hear that?" Ming Xi asked in horror.

"I heard it. Don't be afraid, let's go and take a look." Su Yang whispered.

They followed the direction of the sound and came to the door of a room. The door was half-open and it was pitch black inside.

Su Yang pushed the door open carefully, and a pungent smell hit him in the face. The scene inside made him and Ming Xi both stunned in place...
