Hogwarts in the shadows

Chapter 14 Potions Class

According to Madam Pomfrey, Hephis needs to rest in the hospital wing for a whole week before he can go out.

But Hephes couldn't stand this monotonous life.

He was the only one in the entire medical wing. He could neither practice magic nor practice his shadow abilities blatantly.

Although Hermione came every day, sometimes she only stayed for a short while before leaving, after all, she had astronomy class in the evening.

All he does now is read books, and he is so bored to death.

Hephis begged Madam Pomfrey almost every day, hoping that she would let him out as soon as possible, and he was just about to perform a somersault on the spot for her.

Finally, on Thursday night, Madam Pomfrey gave in after a careful examination of his physical condition.

Agree to let him observe for another night, and if everything is fine, he can leave tomorrow morning.

Hephis was so happy that he almost jumped up on the spot.

On Friday morning, Hephis was finally released after another inspection by Madam Pomfrey.

He greedily breathed in the fresh air outside the medical wing and left the medical wing as if escaping.

He happened to have two Potions classes this morning, and he had to hurry or he would be late.

However, luck did not seem to be on his side, as he did not see a single student or teacher along the way.

Hephis, who knew nothing about the layout of the castle, was dumbfounded for a moment. He should have asked Madam Pomfrey for the route.

Just as he was hesitating, considering whether to return to the medical wing, a ghost floated by leisurely.

"Hello! Mr. Ghost, please wait a moment." Hephis called the ghost anxiously.

"Hello! Little wizard, shouldn't you be in class now?" the ghost asked puzzledly.

"Um, I'm a freshman and I just came out of the hospital wing. Now I can't find the way to the Potions classroom. Please, can you help me?"

"Oh, you are Hefila. We ghosts all know about you. You fainted on the train..."

"Sir, my name is Hephis. Can you tell me where the Potions classroom is? The class has already started."

"Oh, excuse me, Hephis, my name is Nick, follow me."

The paths taken by ghosts and humans are completely different. Nick always passes through the wall, and when he finds that Hephes didn't catch up, he turns back.

Fortunately, Hephis had just been running around for a while and was very close to the dungeon, otherwise he really didn't know when he would get there.

"Thank you, Nick," Hefeth said gratefully.

"You're welcome. I'm happy to help the little wizard." Nick disappeared through the wall.

Hephis took a deep breath and knocked on the classroom door.

"Enter."

After hearing the sound, Hephis quickly pushed the door open and what came into his sight was.

Harry was standing, Hermione's hand was raised, and Professor Snape had a displeased look on his face.

"Professor, I..." Hephis was about to explain.

Snape interrupted directly.

"Tsk, tsk, here comes another celebrity, Hephis Dam. It is such an honor to be the first professor in the entire Hogwarts to teach you."

The little snakes in the classroom burst into laughter, especially Malfoy with the platinum head who laughed the loudest.

"Uh..." Hephis was a little embarrassed. He couldn't get over this hurdle, right?

"Do I need to invite you to take a seat myself, Hephaest Dam?"

"No, Professor." Hephis found an empty seat nearby and sat down, but before his butt touched the stool, Snape's questions came like a barrage of questions.

"Dam, what would happen if I added powdered daffodil bulbs to wormwood juice?"

Uh...what a familiar feeling.

"A powerful sleeping potion called the Water of Life and Death," Hephis replied, quickly straightening up again.

"So, if I asked you to find a bezoar, where would you look?"

"Go to the cow's stomach, professor. Bezoar is the antidote to many poisons."

"What are the differences between Aconitum kusnezoffii and Aconitum carmichaelii?"

"Caowu and Wutou refer to the same plant. They are both common names for a plant called Fuzi."

"Great, why don't you write down this knowledge?" There was an immediate commotion in the dungeon, and everyone took out their quills and parchment to begin recording.

Snape added, "Potter, because of your rude behavior just now, I have decided to deduct one point from Gryffindor. And Slytherin will get five points. Hephis Dam, do you still need me to ask you to sit down?"

"No, Professor." Hephis was finally able to sit down.

During the entire Potions class, Snape walked around the dungeon in his large black cloak, his aura fully open and venom sprayed indiscriminately.

Even the little snakes were trembling with fear, let alone the group of little lions?

Since Hephis arrived late, only one person could brew the potion, and the others were in pairs.

Snape stood behind him many times, watching him brew potions, but Hephis was not moved at all.

Although the steps Snape explained were not exactly the same as those in the textbook, he had devoured the shadow of a chemistry student, so he could do this with ease.

Snape's lips twitched several times, but no words came out.

In the end, Neville burned through the crucible and was scalded, Snape angrily scolded Harry, and the Potions class was full of passion.

"Dam, stay, the others are dismissed."

"Professor Snape, what can I do for you?" He walked up to the professor after the other students had left.

"It seems that the famous Dam has a forgetful problem. Not only did he miss the sorting ceremony at the beginning of the school year, he also confined himself to the medical wing. He will be put in detention every Saturday afternoon starting tomorrow." Snape said without raising his head.

Many question marks appeared above Hephis's head.

Why was he put in solitary confinement?

How come it's my fault?

Well! It's really his fault, so just shut it down!

"Okay, Professor."

"you can go now."

"Goodbye, Professor."

Hephis was standing at the door of the classroom. Hermione was still waiting for him, but everyone else had left.

"Hephis, are you okay? Professor Snape didn't make things difficult for you, did he?" Hermione saw that the door was closed and whispered to him.

"It's okay. I'm just in solitary confinement because the sorting was not carried out normally."

"How could he do that? You're sick." Hermione said indignantly.

"After all, it's all my fault, isn't it? Besides, Professor Snape is the dean of our college, he won't make things difficult for Slytherin students, don't worry!"

"Okay! Let's go eat! It's almost noon." Hermione thought about Snape's performance in class and felt that what Hephesus said was right.

"I have to go back to the Slytherin common room first. I'm still carrying a suitcase."

"Yeah, that's fine. Then I'll go back to Gryffindor and put the book down. We can walk around the castle in the afternoon."

"Ok."

After getting a positive answer from Hephis, Hermione left in a hurry.

After Hermione left, he realized one thing: where is the Slytherin common room?

Do you want to ask Snape?

Damn, Hephis couldn't help but hold his forehead. Was his brain really eaten by the giant monster?
