Hogwarts in the shadows

Chapter 145 Trelawney’s Prophecy

Hephis thought with his buttocks and knew who this was because of.

Hermione had complained to him more than once.

She said: Trelawney is just an old liar who specializes in using prophecies to scare people.

As for prophecy, Hephaestus knew a true master.

And the shadow of this master is now in his body.

But prophecy is more like a gift.

Although he had the shadow of Grindelwald and could predict some future scenes, they were all very vague.

So from this perspective, what Trelawney said is not wrong, this thing really relies on talent.

"Then you might as well give up the Divination class. You already have enough courses to learn anyway," Hephis advised.

"No, I must get an O in Divination."

Hermione put a piece of cut steak into her mouth and chewed it vigorously.

Hephis shrugged helplessly, he knew how stubborn Hermione was.

Through Grindelwald's shadow, he could indeed feel the bright silver halo around Trelawney.

But the halo was very unstable, flickering.

Trelawney is not actually a con man.

All I can say is that when the halo is weaker, her predictions are indeed inaccurate.

"Good afternoon, Professor Trelawney." Hephis greeted Trelawney across the table.

"What's wrong, little wizard?" Trelawney looked up, a hint of confusion in her eyes.

As far as she could remember, there was no such student in her class.

"My name is Hephis, professor." Hephis said politely, "Actually, I also study divination."

"Oh?" Trelawney looked at Hermione beside Heffernan and frowned slightly.

"You are a third-year student, but you didn't choose my class."

"My divination is more like a talent. It cannot be improved through learning." Hephis said casually.

"That's a shame, but prophecy does require talent," Trelawney said, glancing at Hermione.

"I have great respect for the Master of Prophecy. I wonder if you would be willing to make a prediction for me."

Hephis asked with pretended curiosity.

Trelawney's face showed a serious expression. "The prophecy is not a joke. It..."

Before she could finish her words, she suddenly froze.

Her body began to twitch, her eyes became blurry, and her pupils dilated.

Her head was lowered as if to be buried in her body.

She made a sound that was not hers at all.

The voice was loud but hoarse, close yet seemed to come from far away.

"Endless shadows are about to cover the world. The whole world will change, and the power of darkness will rise. Devour everything... the whole world... devour everything... cover... the whole... the whole..."

Trelawney's voice grew weaker and weaker, and her body began to twitch violently.

Then her whole body collapsed on the chair like a deflated ball.

Hephis could feel a halo emanating from her body, so strong that it was blinding.

It seems that Trelawney has made a true prophecy.

What does this prophecy say?

It's really interesting.

"Sybill, what's wrong with you?" Professor McGonagall exclaimed.

She quickly held Trelawney, who was about to slide off the seat.

Dumbledore looked at the unconscious Trelawney with a serious expression.

"Minerva, please take Sybil to the hospital wing. I think Madam Pomfrey should still be there."

"Okay, Albus." Professor McGonagall nodded and waved her wand.

She led the floating Trelawney toward the hospital wing.

Professor Flitwick glanced at Hephis and followed silently.

Professor Snape sneered disdainfully, "It seems that she has done a pretty good job of pretending this time."

Dumbledore gave Snape a stern look, "Severus!"

"That old liar used this trick to get by in Hogwarts for fourteen years." Snape continued to mock.

"Severus!" Dumbledore's tone became more stern, and the warning became more obvious.

Snape pursed his lips and didn't continue.

The atmosphere in the auditorium became a little weird, and the Christmas lunch ended in silence.

Dumbledore was the first to leave, and judging from the direction he was heading, he should be heading to the hospital wing.

Snape glanced at Hephis and left the table.

"Hermione, I have something to take care of here. I'll talk to you later."

Hephis greeted Hermione and followed Snape.

He had just followed Snape into the Potions Office when the door slammed shut.

Snape turned around abruptly and glared at Hephis angrily, "Why did you provoke her for no reason?"

He paused, a hint of pain in his voice.

"Trelawney, she made an accurate prediction fourteen years ago. It was because of that prediction..."

"She did make a true prophecy just now." Hephis said nonchalantly.

"Professor, you forgot that Grindelwald's shadow is still in my body."

Snape was stunned. He was so worried just now that he forgot this point. He was a real master of prophecy.

"That……"

"Don't worry, Professor." Hephis said in a comforting tone, "Dumbledore won't touch me for the time being."

"Hmm?" Snape's brows furrowed even more.

"I have prepared a more tempting bait for him." Hephis shrugged.

"Besides, it's a one-on-one match. I won't necessarily lose to him now."

"Ah!" Snape sighed, "I know you are very strong now, but you have to know that strength is only part of it."

He continued, "Dumbledore is now the banner of the wizarding world. With his reputation, if he labels you as a dark wizard, you won't even have a chance to clear your name."

Hephis smiled slightly, "Professor, times have changed. It's actually very easy to ruin a person's reputation now."

"You..." Snape shook his head helplessly, "You are indeed a qualified Slytherin."

"Okay, professor. Merry Christmas." Hephis raised the corner of his mouth, "Do you like the Christmas gift I gave you?"

The corner of Snape's mouth twitched violently, and he slowly pulled out his wand.

Upon seeing this, Hephis quickly Apparated away.

Only one lingering sound remained in the air: "Goodbye, Professor."

Seeing this, Snape smiled helplessly.

He received Hephaestus's gift in the morning.

It’s just that the gift Hephis gave this time was a bit too inappropriate.

They were all books written by Muggles.

"36 Love Languages", "The Pickup Artist: Girls Can Chase Men with Ease", etc.

There is even a book called "Awei's Eighteen Forms".

Fortunately, Hephesus ran fast, otherwise Snape would really like to beat him up.
