Hogwarts in the shadows

Chapter 157 Fulla and Snape

Flora rolled her eyes at Snape and said unhappily.

"Snape, smell the potion on your body. Go take a shower and don't let the child get sick."

Then she turned and walked up the stairs.

Snape finally reacted and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He bent down and smelled his robe, and there was indeed a strong smell of potion.

Snape got up and went back to the nursery, looking at Hephes who was already fast asleep.

He hesitated for a moment, then went into the bathroom without using his wand.

That night, Snape sat quietly beside the crib.

He looked at the sleeping Hephes with tender eyes, and no one knew what he was thinking.

Momo also stared dutifully, but today he did seem a little redundant.

Although Fulla was lying on the soft big bed, her mind was in a mess.

She tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.

Finally, it was dawn and she dressed up carefully.

As she passed by the next room, she secretly took a peek inside.

Seeing that Snape was still there, she breathed a sigh of relief and went downstairs to prepare breakfast.

She waved her wand gently, and the bread quickly took shape and jumped into the oven to bake.

Soon a sumptuous breakfast was served on the table.

Croissants, waffles, salad and two cups of freshly ground coffee.

After everything was ready, Fulla went upstairs to find Snape.

As she reached the door she saw Snape feeding Hephis.

Hephesus actually doesn't need any help to drink milk.

Snape didn't know which wire he had hit wrong, and he had to give it a try.

So Hephis could only fulfill his little wish.

At this moment, he was held in Snape's arms. Snape was holding the bottle in his right hand and feeding him milk with full concentration.

Fulla stood at the door and watched the scene quietly, unable to help but sigh in her heart.

"If Snape had his own child, he would definitely be a good father."

When Hephis finished drinking the milk, Fulla invited him, "Breakfast is ready, let's go downstairs and eat together."

Snape only noticed Flora standing at the door when he heard the sound.

When he looked up at her, there was a flash of surprise in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure.

At this time, Fulla was wearing a loose lavender home dress with a faint smile on her face.

Her long silver-white hair fell to her waist like a waterfall, making her delicate face even more charming.

Snape put Hephesus back into the crib and went downstairs with Fulla.

He looked at the sumptuous breakfast in front of him and said, "Thank you."

Fulla stood aside and did not respond immediately, but her face flushed slightly and her eyes glanced at Snape from time to time.

"What's wrong with you?" Snape asked in confusion, noticing her strangeness.

"Nothing, just try it. I like to bake when I have nothing to do."

Fulla quickly looked away. Snape looked so handsome without greasy hair!

Snape muttered quietly, "No wonder there has been no improvement in potions skills."

Flora's eyes suddenly widened, and she looked at Snape angrily: "Snape, what do you mean?"

Snape also reacted. He pursed his lips and said, "The croissant is delicious."

"Hmph!" Fulla snorted and took the fork and stabbed it hard into the salad on the plate.

After breakfast, Momo Apparated back to Hogsmeade with Snape.

Snape then rushed back to Hogwarts from Hogsmeade.

He first went to the hospital wing to find Madam Pomfrey and asked her to help substitute for him.

Then he began to look for Hermione, but after searching for a while, he still couldn't see Hermione.

Finally he learned from a Slytherin student that Hermione was standing at the door of the Slytherin common room.

Snape's heart sank as he realized that something might happen.

He hurried to the Slytherin common room.

Hermione was standing there with a tired look on her face and anxiety in her eyes that was hard to conceal.

Snape motioned to Hermione to follow him.

Hermione didn't ask any more questions and followed him silently.

As soon as they entered the Potions Office, Hermione couldn't wait to ask, "Professor, is something wrong with Hephis?"

"How did you know?" Snape's eyes were fixed on Hermione's.

"Hephis once left some shadows in my body. Last night, those shadows suddenly left my body." Hermione explained.

Snape breathed a sigh of relief when he heard this. So that's how it was.

He said softly, "Something is wrong with Hephis."

Hermione asked nervously, "How is he now?"

"Don't worry, he's safe now." Snape comforted.

A glimmer of hope flashed in Hermione's eyes, "Then can I..."

"No." Snape refused decisively. He paused and explained.

"The fewer people who know where he is, the better. If you and Hephis disappear at the same time, it will cause unnecessary suspicion and trouble."

Although disappointed, Hermione nodded, "I understand, Professor. Hephis trusts you, and I trust you too."

Snape looked at Hermione, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes, "You are very good."

"Thank you, Professor. I'll trouble you with Hephis's matter. If there is anything you need me to do, please let me know." Hermione said seriously.

Snape was silent for a moment, "Well, try to act happy."

Hermione immediately understood what Snape meant.

She took a deep breath and tried to make her smile look brighter, "Okay, Professor."

Snape nodded, "G...Hermione, go to class!"

"Goodbye, Professor Snape." Hermione turned and left.

Snape pursed his lips, "He should be able to contact you in three days at most."

Hermione gave a genuine smile this time and bowed slightly, "Thank you, Professor."

Snape watched her leaving with mixed feelings.

This girl is really nice.

He did not linger any longer, and hurried back to Delacour's residence.

In just two days, Hephis was growing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

He was already nearly one meter long and was able to communicate fluently with Snape.

Hephes' appetite also became amazing, and milk became a drink during meals.

At this time, he was eating beef in big mouthfuls.

Fulla was stunned watching from the side, she couldn't help but ask Snape for confirmation again.

"Snape, are you sure this isn't a troll's child?"

"Fula, this is the fifth time you've asked this question. It's not like that." Snape was already a little impatient with this question.

Hephes gulped down a large glass of milk and then burped with satisfaction.

He rubbed his round belly, which was quickly becoming flat again.

He now eats for two hours and stays hungry for half an hour.
