Hogwarts in the shadows
Chapter 23: Invisible Rich Man Hagrid
"Ah! No, you...you get up first." Hephaestus suddenly felt a headache.
"If the master doesn't want Theodore, Theodore won't get up."
"No...I'm not...I want you to get up quickly."
"Yes, master." Theodore's face suddenly changed and he smiled happily.
"I go."
"Master?" Because Hephis spoke in Mandarin, Theodore didn't understand.
"Listen Theodore, you can recognize me as your master."
Theodore nodded quickly, his eyes shining.
Hephis held his forehead with his hand, thinking that these pure-bloods were all crazy.
"Just, could you please stop calling me Master? The title of Master is so embarrassing!"
"Master, what should I call you?"
"You can just call me by my name."
Theodore's head shook like a rattle.
"It is definitely not okay to acknowledge you as my master and call you by your name."
"My name is Hephes Dam, or Saddam?"
"Saddam."
"No, no, this could easily cause trouble."
Theodore was full of questions. What happened to Saddam? Why was it so easy?
"How about, Hokage?"
Fire shadow? Is there something wrong with the master's brain circuit? Theodore felt a little tired.
"Then call me master."
As a person who is bad at naming, Hephis thinks it’s okay.
"Okay, master."
"Theodore, we are still in school, so normally you should still call me Hephis, and after we graduate you can call me Master."
"But......"
"No buts, this is an order."
"Obey, Master"
By noon, the two of them quickly arrived at the auditorium.
I have a date with Hermione this afternoon, so I can't be late.
At the appointed time, Hephis abandoned Theodore without hesitation and headed towards the Black Lake.
Hephis and Hermione finally made up for their late "date".
The two walked side by side along the Black Lake, the water sparkling.
"Hephis, do you think there are fish in this lake?"
"Hermione, you want some fish?"
"No."
"The Slytherin common room is right at the bottom of the lake, and I see fish swimming by almost every day."
"That must be beautiful!"
"I'll take you to see it if I have the chance."
"This is inappropriate!"
"Uh......"
The two of them walked and talked, and Hermione couldn't stop talking about studying.
I was particularly interested in Hephaestus's Transfiguration.
Hephis had no choice but to share some of his experience in Transfiguration spells with Hermione.
He also conjured up two butterflies that flew around them.
"Students are not allowed in the Forbidden Forest."
The loud noise startled both Hephis and Hermione.
A giant over three meters tall appeared before them.
It turned out that they had unknowingly reached the edge of the forbidden forest.
"Hello, Professor, we have no plans to enter the Forbidden Forest, we are just admiring the scenery," Hephis explained.
"I'm not a professor. I'm the gamekeeper at Hogwarts. You can call me Hagrid. You really don't want to go to the Forbidden Forest?"
Hagrid looked at them doubtfully.
After all, there are countless young wizards who try to sneak into the Forbidden Forest every year.
Especially the Weasley twins.
"Hagrid, we really won't," Hermione assured.
"Okay then! So are you guys on...a date?"
"Yes (No)." Two different voices sounded at the same time.
"Hephis, you do this again!" Hermione turned away angrily.
Hephis smiled faintly and said, as long as you are shameless, you will get the beauty.
"It's great to be young. Which college are you from?" Hagrid seemed to enjoy chatting with the little wizards.
Even though he knew that Hephis was a Slytherin student, he still warmly invited them to sit in his cabin.
Hephis would naturally not refuse, as he still remembered the big guy clearly.
When Hagrid appeared, he scared his girlfriend in his previous life, and he "comforted" her for a long time.
So he pulled the still angry Hermione and followed Hagrid to his hut.
"Tooth, wait, this is Hephis and Hermione."
Hagrid looked at Fang who was rushing towards him and grabbed the big black dog by the collar.
"This is Fangya, don't be afraid, it's just a little enthusiastic, it won't bite."
Hermione had already hidden behind Hephis, and Hagrid saw this and explained.
"It's all right, Hagrid. Fang is quite lively indeed."
Although Hephis said this, he still protected Hermione with his body, and at the same time, his shadow covered his body.
Hagrid pulled out a piece of raw meat from somewhere and threw it on the ground.
"Go eat, Yaya. Please come in, the room is a little small." He pushed open the door enthusiastically and invited the two in.
Hagrid's room was just a little small for him.
But the facilities are really simple, comparable to Hephis' previous house.
Various foods were hanging from the ceiling. There was a bed in the corner. One of its legs was broken and it was propped up with a stone. The bedding was also made of scraps of cloth.
How should I put it, it fits the style of a gamekeeper very well.
Hagrid held the kindling, ready to light the stove and make them some tea.
"Wait, Hagrid, what are you holding in your hand?" Hephis suddenly stopped Hagrid.
"Oh, you mean this! This is some bark I picked up in the Forbidden Forest. It's very useful for starting a fire."
"Hagrid, wait, I'm coming."
Hephis raised his wand and pointed it at the stove.
"The flames are blazing!"
"A beautiful fire spell. It's rare for a first-year wizard to be able to do that. You're great."
"Thank you, Hagrid." Hephis' eyes fell on the bark in Hagrid's hand, "Can you show this to me?"
"No problem, here you go."
Hagrid grabbed it with one hand, but when it came to Hephis, he couldn't put it with both hands, so Hagrid had to put it on the table.
"Oh my god! Hagrid, did you know? This is dragon claw bark!"
"Dragonclaw bark? Those crooked trees?" Hagrid scratched his head, a little confused.
"Yes, that's it. Do you know how much it's worth?" Hephis asked seriously.
Hagrid shook his great head.
"Well... I don't know, but I think it's good as a fire starter. If you like it, I'll give it to you."
After saying that, Hagrid pushed the whole bag of bark directly in front of Hephis.
"Hagrid, I appreciate your offer, but I can't take it. Dragon's claw bark costs five galleons an ounce, and your bag must be over ten pounds."
However, Hagrid didn't care.
"What Galleons? I don't need them anyway. I'll give them to you as a gift for us meeting each other."
Hagrid's enthusiasm was so great that Hefeth could not refuse.
Hagrid was one of those people who would veer off into the realm of magical creatures every three sentences.
Fortunately, they were also interested in magical animals, so they had a very happy chat.
In the blink of an eye, it was already dark and night was falling.
Hagrid warmly invited them to dinner.
However, Hephis had other plans and could only politely decline.
