Hogwarts in the shadows

Chapter 38 Timely Rain An An

Snape did not Apparate away, but walked towards the cemetery in Godric's Hollow.

On the way, we passed a monument with statues of three people.

A man with slightly messy hair and wearing a pair of glasses.

A woman with long flowing hair and beautiful face, and a baby sitting in her arms.

Snape stared at the woman blankly for a while and continued walking towards the cemetery.

A white marble tombstone stood before Snape, with the inscription on it clearly visible.

Those were James Potter and Lily Potter's names.

They were frozen in time together on October 1981, 10.

There is another line of words below their names.

It was a motto: "The last enemy to be destroyed is death."

Snape sat on the ground, his back against the cold tombstone, close to the side with Lily's name.

He looked at the sunset and a tear slipped down the corner of his eye unconsciously.

After Snape left, Hephis could finally let go.

Eight shadowy black hands appeared, holding brooms, mops, rags and other items, and began cleaning.

Dust flew everywhere for a moment, choking Hephis and causing him to step back repeatedly.

"If only An An was here. I miss An An so much." Hephis murmured to himself.

With a 'puff' sound, An An appeared in front of Hephis.

Oh shit, what is going on.

"Hephis, good afternoon! Is there anything I can help you with?" An An said with a bow.

Hephis subconsciously said, "I hope you can help me clean the house."

"Okay, leave Hephis to me." An An instantly became full of energy.

"No, wait. An An, stop first." Hephis came to his senses and hurriedly stopped An An who was about to start using the broom.

An An stopped what he was doing and looked at Hefeth in confusion.

"An'an, why are you here?"

"I heard your call!"

"I didn't..." He seemed to have mentioned An An's name just now.

"But this is not Hogwarts, this is my home."

"So this is Hephis's home!" An An looked around the dusty room.

Why can't An An understand?

"I mean, how come you are here? Aren't you a house elf from Hogwarts?"

"I'm the house-elf of Hogwarts!" An An was confused by Hephis' question.

An An, no, it should be said that the thinking patterns of house-elves are very strange.

Hefeth thought about it and changed his words.

"An An, can I summon you anytime and anywhere?"

"Sure! As long as it doesn't conflict with Hogwarts' orders."

"Can other little wizards do it, too?"

"No, the house elves at Hogwarts only follow the professor's orders."

"But I'm not a professor! Then why do you listen to me?" Hephis was very confused.

"Hogwarts' house-elves can obey the orders of the little wizards they like, as long as they comply with the rules of Hogwarts." An An said a little embarrassedly.

"Thank you, An An." Hefeis was a little touched.

"Hephis thanks An An again. An An is so happy. Can An An go to work now?" An An blinked her big eyes.

"I leave it to you, An'an." Hephis waved his hand.

"Yes, sir." An An picked up the broom and rushed to the battlefield like a general ready to charge.

The cleaning job was given to An An, and Hephis had some free time.

He used a whirlwind sweeper to clear the dust on the surface and began to explore the villa.

Although the villa is empty, the defensive magic is still working, which means there must be some secrets.

As he walked, he opened the doors he passed by. They were all bedrooms, also empty.

He checked the bathroom again and found that the faucet was still flowing.

At the end of the first floor he saw a staircase leading downwards.

Hephis walked down the stairs, lighting the wand in his hand.

There was thick dust inside, and Hephaestus used the whirlwind to sweep it away again, gathering all the dust into a pile.

The rest can be handled safely.

The cellar consists of two parts. The first thing you see is a large open space, which seems to be a place for storing things.

There is another corridor at the back, and through the corridor there are cells and several cages.

The left wall was covered with torture instruments and chains, and there was dark brown dirt on it, probably the remaining blood.

There were many scratches and dark brown dirt on the wooden bars and walls of the cell.

It really was a piece of cake, just a slight makeover here.

In the future, any dark wizards captured can be imprisoned here.

Hephis looked at the torture instruments and it seemed that the Brian family was not a good group either.

But as it happens, he is not a good person either.

Hephis waved his wand and put all the torture instruments, chains and other miscellaneous items into a small bag, ready to throw them away.

As for the cell, I will renovate it after An An has cleaned it up.

"Hefeis, it's time for dinner." An An appeared in front of Hefeis.

"Okay, An An." Hefeis followed An An back to the first floor.

The living room and dining room have been tidied up by An An.

The windows are clean and there is not a speck of dust on the ground.

There was a sumptuous dinner on the table.

"But where did these things come from?"

"I 'borrowed' it from Hogwarts and I have to return it later." An An looked proud.

"Thank you An An, you are so sweet."

"Hefeis thanks An'an again. An'an is really happy."

Hephis was also hungry, so he started to enjoy his dinner, while An An continued to be busy tidying up the room.

While eating his dinner, he couldn't help thinking: How nice it would be if An An could always serve him in the future!

I just don't know whether Dumbledore can agree to transfer An An to him.

Or whether An An can be transferred out, after all, it is the magic of Hogwarts Castle that binds An An.

But I really want to have a house-elf. It would save me a lot of trouble.

After dinner, he communicated with An An again.

It would take about three more days to clean up the entire house.

So he hoped that An An could come here from 9 am to 9 pm to help him clean the house.

He would live in South Kensington first. After all, there was not even a bed here, so he needed to go buy some.

Hefes originally thought that working 12 hours a day was inhumane.

But An An was very unhappy and felt that the time was too short.

He could only give An An orders, and An An looked like she was about to cry.

Hephes had no choice but to escape.

He pulled out his wand and silently chanted 'Knight Bus'.

With a 'bang' sound, there was an explosion in the silent night, and a beam of blinding light illuminated the surroundings.

Hephis subconsciously took a few steps back, raised his wand, and the shadow behind him was also ready to attack.

A three-story bus appeared in front of him, with the words "Knight Bus" written in gold letters on the windshield.

Hephis did not lower his guard, but simply lowered his wand.
