Hogwarts in the shadows

Chapter 78: Add Braised Pork Trotters to Draco

One class in the morning is Charms and the other is Transfiguration.

Professor Flitwick, he performs consistently and his lectures are humorous.

Professor McGonagall, still with a serious expression on her face, criticized Goyle and Crabbe harshly.

Because they seem to have forgotten everything they learned from last school year.

In the afternoon, Hephis and Hermione had just stacked the books - yes, stacked them.

After all, there are seven Lockhart novels, and they are all quite thick.

Harry, with messy clothes, crooked glasses and a flushed face, was seen being embraced by Lockhart into the classroom.

Professor Lockhart stood at the podium, pointed at the photo in the book and blinked.

"I am Gilderoy Lockhart, a third-class medalist of the Order of Merlin, an honorary member of the Anti-Dark Magic Society, and a five-time winner of the Most Charming Smile Award from Witch Weekly - but I never mention that. After all, I don't drive away the female ghost of Wanlun with a smile!"

He also showed his most charming smile, with his teeth so bright that they almost reflected light.

"How much did the professor pay for the Order of Merlin, Third Class?" Draco asked loudly.

"I spent three... I didn't buy it." Professor Lockhart's face suddenly turned ugly.

Draco chuckled, and the little snakes around him also laughed.

Lockhart tried to maintain order in the classroom. He said with a straight face: "Without the professor's permission, feel free to..."

However, before he could finish his words, Draco interrupted him: "My name is Draco Malfoy."

Lockhart choked suddenly. He really couldn't afford to offend Malfoy.

"Next time you have to raise your hand before asking a question. Okay, let's continue." Lockhart's expression remained unchanged.

"Tsk." Draco laughed even louder.

He began to chat with the other little snakes around him, in a neither loud nor quiet voice.

There was an undisguised murderous gleam in Hermione's eyes, and she glared at him fiercely.

Draco saw it too, but he didn't care at all. He was worried about Hephaest, not Hermione.

Besides, it was Hephis who asked him to do this, so he was not afraid at all.

Hephis quickly comforted her, "Hermione, don't be angry. Draco is really outrageous. I will scold him after class."

"Hmph, you are not allowed to help him with night tours again." Hermione said gritting her teeth.

"As you wish." Hephis thought to himself: Thank you for your hard work, Draco, please increase your strength.

Lockhart adjusted his mindset, trying to regain control of the rhythm. "I see you all bought a complete set of my works - very good."

"Tsk, if it weren't for some shameless person forcing it into a textbook, who would buy this crap?"

Draco was holding a copy of "Breaking with the Female Ghost" and swinging it around loudly.

"I...I want to...do a little test first. I'll give you thirty minutes."

Lockhart suppressed his anger and began handing out the papers.

"What's Gilderoy Lockhart's favorite color? I think shit yellow suits him."

"What do you think is Gilderoy Lockhart's greatest achievement so far? Brushing his teeth ten times a day?"

Although Draco's voice was not loud, it was particularly clear in the quiet classroom.

Hermione was so angry that her hand holding the quill was shaking.

Hephis tried his best to control his facial expression so that the corners of his mouth would not curl too obviously.

He thought to himself: I must give Draco a snack in the evening, braised pig's trotters with more sugar.

Lockhart was quite thick-skinned and sat in his seat with an expressionless face.

Half an hour later, Lockhart began to collect the test papers and read them one by one.

"…Miss Hermione Granger knows my secret ambition to rid the world of evil and sell my own line of hair toner – what a good girl!" Lockhart turned her paper over. "Full marks! Where is Miss Hermione Granger?"

Hermione raised a shaking hand.

"Excellent! Ten points to Gryffindor!" said Lockhart, grinning. "Now, back to business..."

He carried a large, draped cage from behind the podium and placed it on the table.

"My duty is to teach you how to defend yourself against the most evil in the wizarding world! You will face the most horrific creatures in this classroom. But remember, as long as I am here, you will be safe. I only ask that you remain calm."

Lockhart placed his hand on his hood and Draco stopped chatting.

"I must warn you not to scream," Lockhart said in a low voice, "it will irritate them!"

The class held their breath as Lockhart lifted the hood.

He exclaimed exaggeratedly, "Just caught it."

Draco sneered disdainfully.

The little snakes around seemed to have received some kind of signal and started laughing as well.

"What's the problem?" Lockhart tried to remain calm, looking directly at Draco.

"The Cornish elf is indeed dangerous for you." Draco said in a gloomy tone.

"They are not dangerous to me." Lockhart finally got a little angry, "Then let me see how you deal with them!"

He opened the cage door.

Now the place was in chaos. These little elves, about eight inches tall, with small pointed faces and iron-blue skin, screamed shrilly and flew around.

Hephis mobilized the magic power in his body and radiated it, and the elves flew around him and Hermione.

Two of them grabbed Neville by the ears and lifted him up.

Several others even rushed out of the window and smashed the windows at the back of the classroom.

The remaining elves wreaked havoc in the classroom.

They grabbed bottles of ink and threw them at their classmates, tearing books and papers into pieces.

After a few minutes, half of the students in the classroom had hidden under the tables.

Neville was hanging from the chandelier.

Hephis snapped his fingers lightly, and Neville landed smoothly.

"Quick, hurry them back to the cages!" Lockhart shouted. He rolled up his sleeves, waved his wand and shouted, "Pesky Pixie Pestomy!"

This was completely ineffective, and one of the elves grabbed Lockhart's wand and threw it out of the window.

Lockhart gasped when he saw this and quickly got under the desk.

The bell rang for the end of get out of class, and Draco was the first to leave the classroom. The others also reacted and rushed out desperately.

Lockhart straightened up and saw Hephis and Hermione still sitting there.

"Ah, since you two are not in a hurry, please catch the rest and put them back into the cage."

Lockhart walked out of the classroom quickly and closed the door.

Hephis silently put away the photo stone and looked at Hermione.

"He just wants to give us some practice opportunities." Hermione said with a lack of confidence.

Hephis waved his magic wand gently, and all the elves were instantly frozen in the air.

With another wave of his hand, all the elves were thrown back into the cage, and the cage door automatically locked.

"Let's go! Hermione." He shrugged and said nothing more.

He was just demonstrating to Hermione how easy it was for real wizards to deal with the little elves.
