Hogwarts: The Wizarding World's First Capitalist

Chapter 144 Jealous classmates and arrogant Karl

"Hagrid, what's going on here?"

Professor McGonagall and her companions arrived at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. They planned to take a rest and then go into the depths of the Forbidden Forest to look for the two Aurors.

As a result, as soon as she arrived next to Hagrid's hut, she saw the person she least wanted to see at the moment.

Carl was arguing with a group of centaurs with Cedric.

That's right, it was a quarrel, Carl said rudely while pointing at the centaur in front of him with a strange tubular object in his hand.

"You go back immediately and help Hagrid prevent the magical creatures from escaping. They are all my property, including you."

"No one is allowed to leave here. If you take another step forward, I will be rude to you."

"The magical animals are free. Now that the mysterious man has appeared in the Forbidden Forest, we have the right to protect our lives."

"And we are no one's property, you evil wizards."

"The leader of the centaurs," Ronan said angrily, digging the ground with his four hooves, and the centaurs behind him were all excited.

Some people even started to draw their bows and aim arrows at Carl, but Carl was too lazy to talk to them and directly loaded the M1911 in his hand.

He fired a shot directly into the sky.

"boom!!!"

Hot flames spurted out of the muzzle, and the sound continued to echo in the forbidden forest.

"If you say one more word, your bodies will appear in the Magical Creatures Exchange tomorrow. Get back here right now."

"I said you are my property, I will naturally protect your lives and safety, but I will only protect loyal dogs. If a dog dares to show its teeth to its master."

"Then it will end up as lunch."

Carl's blue eyes were fixed on the centaur in front of him.

After a moment of eye contact, the group of centaurs' morale dropped significantly. After a stalemate, they turned around and ran away towards the depths of the forbidden forest.

The sound of the gunshot made everyone present freeze in their tracks, including a little wizard who was familiar to Cedric.

He even quietly approached the other person and said with a puzzled look on his face.

"Where have you been these days? Why haven't we seen you? And are you sure that the mark is not a prank by Carl?"

"Looking at him, he seems to be much more cruel than the average dark wizard."

Cedric touched his nose awkwardly and said helplessly while looking at Karl’s back.

“I’ve been feeling a little unwell these past few days and have been recuperating in the dormitory. Thank you for your concern. As for Karl, you know.”

"Once any issue involves his money, his temper is like this."

Hearing this, all the young wizards nodded. After all, they knew Carl's attitude towards money very well.

That stingy look is something that not ordinary people can compare to.

"That's right. Whoever dares to touch Karl's money would be asking for his life. We have been together for nearly a year."

"I've never seen anyone take a penny from him except you."

The little wizard from before said sourly.

The other young wizards looked at him with envy and jealousy, which made Cedric nervous and he explained hurriedly.

"Don't talk nonsense. When have I ever spent his money..."

Upon hearing this, the other little wizards immediately became unhappy, and one by one they stood up and started to complain.

"Of course not. The clothes you are wearing are all custom-made. I wrote to my father and asked him about it."

"This set of school uniform you are wearing now is worth 200 gold galleons."

"That's right. Also, your dormitories and your bed sheets and quilts, none of them were issued by the school. They were all specially bought luxury goods."

"Even the carpet is velvet, and the pens you use every day are all custom-made."

"The worst thing was on your birthday..."

Seeing that the other party was about to let the cat out of the bag, Cedric quickly covered his mouth and signaled him not to continue.

Professor McGonagall, who was standing by, finally reacted. She walked quickly to Carl and snatched the pistol from his hand.

He pointed his finger at the other person and said sternly.

"Mr. Hohenzollern, how could you bring such a dangerous weapon into the school, and why are you and Mr. Diggory here?"

"It's very dangerous here. Go back to the dormitory immediately, or I will deduct points from Hufflepuff."

Carl, whose gun was snatched away, pretended to be surprised when he saw that it was Professor McGonagall, and quickly raised his hands to show that he had no intention of resisting.

At the same time, he came over with a grin and said with a smile.

"Professor McGonagall, don't be nervous. It's just a toy. It has no rifling and can't fire bullets."

"How could I possibly bring something so dangerous to Hogwarts? What about the Hufflepuff points?"

"If you want to deduct points, then go ahead. It's already over 300 points negative, and there's nothing you can do to change it."

Hearing this, Professor McGonagall was immediately furious, and the look she gave Carl was even more meaningful, the previous Hufflepuff House.

What a lovely and honest group of children they were, but since this little bastard joined, the style of the entire Hufflepuff house has changed.

They were completely changed. They were usually cautious, but now they began to move closer to Gryffindor House.

They still do a lot of mischievous things, and they don't care as much about grades as Gryffindor does.

It's just the right topic for casual chatting during lunch time on weekdays.

For example, did you lose points today?

Yes, 20 points were deducted.

What about you?

Then you have less than me, so I deducted 30 points.

After saying that, they smiled at each other and started eating. What is the score for Hufflepuff students? Can they eat it?

As long as it doesn't affect their meals, nothing else matters.

Professor McGonagall was getting angrier the more she thought about it. Seeing that she was about to lose her temper, Carl quickly changed the subject.

"Don't be angry Professor McGonagall. I am definitely here to help. After all, someone dared to destroy my property."

"I will make him pay for what he has done. He dares to mess around here without even realizing whose place this is."

"We must teach him a lesson."

Carl looked at Hagrid and urged him.

"Hurry up and bring your equipment. We have to find that damn bastard. We have to teach him a lesson today."

After saying that, he was about to walk towards the depths of the Forbidden Forest. However, before he had taken two steps, he was grabbed by the collar by Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall looked at Carl with an angry smile and said helplessly.

"Didn't you see the mark in the sky? How dare you go in there?"

"Mark, what mark?" Carl pretended to be innocent and looked up at the Death Eater mark in the sky.

Then he spread his hands and said indifferently.

"Professor McGonagall, you have forgotten my identity. I grew up in the United States, and in the Muggle world."

"How would I know what this ugly mark is? It's ugly, but there's nothing special about it."

"Oh, by the way, I forgot to ask why you came here."

After hearing what Carl said, Professor McGonagall felt both amused and helpless, and could only patiently explain to Carl.

Carl patiently listened to Professor McGonagall's explanation, pretending not to know, and then pretended to be surprised and a little scared.

Said in panic.

"So that dark wizard is the You-Know-Who. That won't do, letting such a dangerous person hang around Hogwarts."

"This is a huge threat to my dear students. Professor McGonagall, I need your authorization."

"We have to activate our defense plan."
