Hogwarts: The Wizarding World's First Capitalist

Chapter 419: Professor Snape's "Cozy Cottage"

January 1993, 1, London, England, the last day of the Christmas holidays.

Carl was slowly operating the espresso machine in front of him to make himself a cup of fragrant coffee. He was currently in Professor Snape's home.

This is a dark room hidden in a bustling city. The reason for making such an evaluation is certainly not due to the prejudice caused by the owner of the room.

But the decoration style of this room is really too difficult for ordinary people to accept.

The entire room is located on the ground floor of a duplex building, and seems to be a secret base of an evil wizard.

As soon as you step into this room, you can feel a cold breath coming towards you, which makes you shudder.

The room was filled with all kinds of strange potion raw materials, such as dried bat wings, twisted snake skin, and foul-smelling mushrooms.

The materials were neatly stacked in small squares, as if the owner of the house had some obsessive-compulsive disorder while performing a dark ritual.

There are some ancient paintings hanging on the walls. The characters in the paintings have hideous faces and empty eyes, giving people a creepy feeling.

In the middle of the room there was a shabby wooden table, on which were placed various bottles and jars filled with colorful liquids.

These liquids give off a pungent smell that makes people sick.

There was also a large stove next to the table, with a blazing fire that illuminated the entire room red.

There was a large iron pot hanging above the stove, with an unknown substance cooking in the pot, making gurgling sounds that sounded extremely strange.

In order to make coffee for himself, Carl had to put the coffee machine on the windowsill and open the window to prevent the smell from affecting his appetite.

After making two cups of coffee, he carried them on a tray and walked to the corner of the room.

He sat down on a chair next to a small table, put the plate on the table, picked up the cup of coffee and sipped it slowly.

At the same time, his eyes kept looking at the corner of the room, where a glass jar was placed.

There is an unknown light green potion in the jar. Through the transparent glass jar, you can see that it is filled with various strange animal corpses.

Some had their eyes wide open, some had their mouths open revealing sharp teeth, and some had their bodies twisted into strange shapes.

The animal carcasses turned white after being soaked in the potion and looked extremely scary.

Carl silently put down the coffee in his hand, turned his head helplessly and looked at Professor Snape beside him, who was about to merge with the darkness.

"Dear professor, have you ever thought about changing the decoration style?"

"Do you think this place looks like a place where people live? You actually blamed me for speaking for Harry and agreeing with him to spend a day at Draco Malfoy's house."

"They are very impressive that they have spent almost the entire holiday with you here. If it were me, I would probably not be able to stay here for even a single day."

Carl returned to England the day before yesterday. After finishing those things in France, he immediately contacted his professional intelligence officer, Professor Snape.

I hope to get some information from them about what happened in Hogwarts and the British magic circle during my absence.

That's why he came to visit today. When he first came, he had already thought of many contingency plans.

How to send your belated holiday greetings and appease the proud heart of the big bat.

But the fact is that when he arrived here, he saw Professor Snape and Miss Harry arguing, and the focus of the argument was.

Should Harry be allowed to spend a day at Draco Malfoy's house? At the beginning, Professor Snape undoubtedly had the upper hand in the quarrel.

Harley was about to be defeated, and at this moment, Carl knocked on the door of the house.

When Harley saw Carl, she felt like she had seen a savior and begged him desperately to speak for her.

Carl definitely refused at first, but the moment he stepped through the door and saw the interior of the room.

His conscience suddenly felt a little bit of a pang, and the words of refusal were on the tip of his tongue but he couldn't say them.

At the same time, he also considered that if Harry was present, his communication with Professor Snape would be limited.

So, with someone to back her up, Harry went to the Malfoy manor as she wished.

Only an old bat was left in an empty nest, staring at him with vicious eyes.

Carl felt a little frightened by Professor Snape's look, so he had to pick up the coffee he had put down.

I covered my face with a coffee cup to hide my embarrassment while thinking about how to bring the conversation back to the point.

Just as he was thinking hard, Professor Snape, who had been silent all the time, suddenly snorted coldly.

A pile of newspapers suddenly appeared in his hands. He flipped through the newspapers with a cold face and spoke without emotion.

"Shock! Grindelwald has reappeared in the world!"

"The blue flames of evil swept across Paris, and the ancient city suffered once again!"

"The dark basement and the buried hero, have we misunderstood our minister?"

Professor Snape read out the headlines on the front pages of the newspapers slowly and leisurely, and after reading each paragraph, he slapped the newspaper on the small table between them.

The entire process of reading and reciting lasted for almost a minute, until a pile of newspapers nearly 10 centimeters thick was piled on the small table.

Professor Snape then stopped and slowly turned to look at Carl, who had an embarrassed face.

"Mr. Hohenzollern, you are truly an eye-opener. The newspapers of the wizarding world in all the major countries in Europe."

"Your great achievements are being reported everywhere. Grindelwald's reputation is truly known throughout the European continent."

"You are already the leader of the Saints, why do you have to come back to this small Hogwarts? I thought you had forgotten us a long time ago."

That's the feeling, that sour, weird feeling.

Faced with Professor Snape's sarcasm, Carl was not unhappy at all. Instead, he felt refreshed.

He answered nonchalantly.

"What are you talking about? You are the first person I met after entering the magical world. Even if I have forgotten everyone else."

"It's impossible for me to forget you. Besides, there's still a deal between you and me that hasn't been completed."

"Like I said before, God often breaks his word, but the devil always operates with integrity."

"I will definitely come back before I complete the deal with you."

As he spoke, he pushed the cup of coffee forward and smiled flatteringly.

“So don’t worry about the details, drink the coffee. This is the best Panamanian Geisha coffee.”

"No sugar added, for your taste."

After saying that, Carl leisurely took his first sip of coffee of the day. The moment the still slightly hot and bitter liquid entered his throat.

He suddenly woke up and looked at Professor Snape beside him with surprise.

"No, these things were done by the girl named Theodora Grindelwald. What does it have to do with me?"

"Why do you know this?!"
