American comic Gotham, the sheriff of Arkham

Chapter 145: Lawton is released from prison.

In Blackgate Prison, Deadshot Lawton was leaning over the table, holding a pen to sign his parole certificate. Amid the cheerful atmosphere of a group of prison guards, this prison escapee was finally going to get out.

The main reason was that Miaomu gave them all a red envelope, otherwise Lao Dun’s prison escape would be enough to keep him here for half his life.

After changing into a thin set of clothes and throwing the prison uniform on the ground, Lawton stomped on it hard and followed the prison guards outside to some prisoners behind the iron bars.

Watching the Death Shooter leave, each of them stretched their arms outward like zombies, wanting him to stay. Watching others walk out of here was more painful than adding a few more years of sentence to them.

Outside the Blackgate Prison, Naegi, holding a cigarette in his mouth, leaned against the police car, watching the iron gate slowly open and the shaved-headed Death Shooter Lawton walked out.

Lawton walked to the front of the sapling cart, pulled his mouth and looked into the distance. This was quite embarrassing. He didn't like owing favors to others.

"Do you have anyone you want to kill? I'll do it for you for free!"

This is the most sincere reward that Death Shooter can think of, as long as he doesn't encounter an invulnerable being like Superman.

It’s not that he can’t fight against the others, but he lost to Batman simply because he was careless. The despicable local bat has no martial ethics!

"Murder? Look here!" Miaomu looked up and down at the Death Shooter, then poked the police badge on his chest with his finger.

"I'm a policeman! You mentioned murder in front of me? Do you believe I will arrest you now?"

"Goodbye." Lawton shook his head quickly.

"Come, let's do the math." Miao Mu skillfully pulled out a stack of bills from his pocket, "Your ex-wife's alimony, parole bond, and the money you spent on getting connections."

"That's right!" Miaomu turned and walked to the trunk, opened it, took out a suitcase from it and threw it to Lawton.

"This is your stuff. I got it out of the evidence for you. You owe me a favor."

Lawton took the bag and quickly unzipped it. Inside was his action suit, bulletproof equipment, his personal firearms, and most importantly, the laser sight.

"This……"

"You're welcome. Just pay me back. I'll be your guarantor. During your parole period, you can't leave Gotham. You have to report to me every month."

Naegi folded the bill in his hand in half, threw it to Lawton, and took out the documents prepared by Nygma from his pocket.

"This is the basis for your daughter's custody battle. A regular job, legal income, and a guardian are all needed."

Lawton quickly took the document. Compared to anything else, his daughter was the most important to him, and everything else could be put aside.

"I also have a shooting range in Arkham. If you don't mind, come and work for me. I can write you a certificate with legal effect to prove that you are able to raise your daughter."

After saying that, Miaomu opened the car door and got in, lowered the window, raised his hand and leaned on it, looking at Lao Dun's expression.

Miaomu added another weight.

"My son's school will start a new round of enrollment right after Christmas. It's a city school that can go directly to Gotham University, so it's guaranteed. I also have friends in Metropolis who can arrange a school for him."

"If you have anything, you can come to Arkham to find me. I'll usually be there." After saying this, Miaomu drove away without waiting for Lao Dun's response.

This is already a fish that has been hooked, so there is no need for Miaomu to worry.

The Riddler Nygma has set up several plans according to Deadshot's psychology. The core of the plan is to let him come by himself. Deadshot's combat effectiveness is absolutely reliable as long as he has a gun.

It's not that Miaomu looks down on him. It's just that it's extremely difficult for Lawton to get the custody of his daughter.

Besides, he didn't have the ability to raise a daughter, otherwise he wouldn't have worked as a mercenary in all kinds of situations.

As he watched the police slowly leave, Lawton looked down at the documents in his hand and discovered that there was a stack of banknotes inside.

"This is a difficult situation..." Lawton frowned, tossing the thing in his hand back and forth as if it were a hot potato.

If Miaomu was the same as everyone else, he would be rescued, given a task and told to do it, but he could still raise the price and ask for extra money.

But this kind of hard-to-get tactic that was done for his own good was a complete conspiracy. Lao Dun was no fool, otherwise he would not have survived in the mercenary industry until now.

He could see that Miaomu was playing the long game to hook a big fish, and after he took the bait, he would be tied together with them. This... he was very unhappy about it, as it would be so much better to be free.

If it were someone else, they would just walk away, but the alimony for my daughter is still paid by the other party. If I run away...

Lawton couldn't afford to lose face, so after just thinking about it for a moment, he threw the idea out of his mind.

He opened his luggage and checked the guns he carried with him. He liked 9mm caliber guns, and his mastery of guns had far exceeded the level of unity between man and gun.

Guns are a part of his body, but as soon as he picked up the guns, he discovered one fact: there were no bullets!

Two pistols, a revolver, and a special wrist gun that is worn on the wrist like a wide bracelet. It can hold thirty rounds of bullets and can create an amazing firepower network by using rapid shooting.

But... Lawton remembered that he had two wrist guns, so why is there only one now?

However, he found a photo of his daughter Zoe inside his bulletproof vest. Looking at his daughter in the photo, Lawton's murderous and ruthless eyes softened.

He sighed, picked up his bag, and walked along the road.

"Is this your house? It's so messy..." Alexis followed Jason into Naegi's house.

The house is a mess. It's not that it's dirty, but things are placed randomly, making it look particularly messy.

Especially on the table, there were unwashed plates on the left and a pile of documents on the right. Just like a workbench, there were two heavy dumbbells under the table.

Hanging on the windows were police uniforms that had just been washed but not yet dried, as well as Jason's own sneakers. The two-story villa had originally been nicely decorated, but with two bachelors living there, who cared about those things?

Jason was a little embarrassed when he saw this scene, and he quickly ran over to clean it up. Alexis didn't care, she just looked around the house and stopped in front of Naegi's study.

"Don't move. Everything in there is dangerous." Jason collected the dishes, stuffed them into the kitchen sink, and shouted to the back.

But Alexis had already walked in, and it was even more messy inside, with a map of Gotham hanging on the wall, two military grenades thrown next to it, and bulletproof vests and other things hanging on the bookshelf.

There is a water cup on the desk with an insecticide sticker on it, which is quite interesting.

However, what made Alexis curious was that on the bookshelf, there were several dark green gas tanks, and next to them were small injections with a scarecrow logo on them.

"I'm done cleaning up. Don't move. He has a lot of dangerous stuff in here." Jason picked up a few bullets on the ground, threw them into the ashtray, and called Alexis to go upstairs.

On the balcony upstairs, there is a training room. It is not messy at all. The floor is covered with thick soft mats, and there are wooden dummies and fitness equipment such as parallel bars and parallel bars against the wall.

"Wait for me." Jason took out a pair of unopened boxing gloves from a box on the side and threw them to Alexis. Neither he nor Naegi needed this kind of protection.

Jason turned and walked to a corner of the training room, took out some incense sticks, and was just about to offer sacrifice to the Iron Fist Stone Monkey on the shelf. This was at least a sense of ritual.

The incense sticks were calming incense that Miaomu bought from Chinatown. They helped to concentrate and calm the mind, but when Jason was lighting the incense sticks, he discovered that the statue of the Iron Fist Stone Monkey was missing.

There was only one block without any dust on it, on the shelf. It had just been taken away not long ago. It should have been taken by Miaomu, and there was no one else at home.

"What's wrong?" Alexis asked.

"Nothing." Jason shook his head, lit the incense, turned around and made a sparring gesture, compared to Miaomu who started with actual combat.

Jason has watched all the movies about martial arts and is very familiar with the fist salute.

"Please!" Jason's aura changed.

Alexis looked at Jason's current appearance, and the corners of her mouth curled up quietly, revealing a hint of expectant smile.

He took off his sports jacket and put on a tight sports suit underneath. He seemed to be well prepared and wore boxing gloves.

"I attack first?" Alexis asked with a smile.

"Okay..." Before Jason could finish his words, Alexis raised her fist and punched him, and the untied gloves flew towards him.

Jason instinctively raised his hand to block his view. Alexis rushed over and kicked Jason in the abdomen.

Just by looking at the force and power of this kick, Jason knew that this woman was not as stupid as he imagined and she must have practiced before!

"Don't underestimate me!" Alexis saw the look on Jason's face and sneered, "I'm a sixth-degree degree Taekwondo master!"

Jason dodged two kicks, and before Alexis could get into a stance, he stepped forward to steady himself, raised his hand and grabbed Alexis' arm and pulled it forward, destroying her balance.

Then he pushed hard, and Alexis took several steps back before she barely avoided falling to the ground.

"I'm a zero-degree Taekwondo master!" Jason grinned.

"Hehe, your godfather is back." Alexis looked behind Jason and signaled with her eyes, and Jason turned his head to look over.

"You're hit, idiot!" Alexis laughed and kicked back, but Jason blocked it with his hand.

"Come on, I didn't use this trick when I was seven."

Jason smiled, turned around, and punched Alexis in the face, but stopped when he got close.

"You can't win by being clever, you need strength!"
