Harry Potter and the Rebirth

Chapter 182 Frankness

"You know now?"

This is a nonsensical sentence, but both parties in the communication are extremely clear about the context of this sentence.

"Have you known this for a long time?"

"Ah."

After the conversation, Harry and Ron were pulled out by Hermione, and the three of them walked on the lawn together. The atmosphere between them was very quiet. Harry felt ashamed for deceiving his friend, while Ron was immersed in what had just happened and had not yet recovered.

The weather has gradually returned to normal, and the snow seems to be a thing of the past life. The breeze blows on people's bodies, and the exposed skin is the first to feel the signal of the arrival of spring.

Harry felt that this slope had never been so long. The grass under his feet seemed even more vigorous after sleeping in the blanket of rain and snow. Harry felt that he was pushed up many times while walking.

Ron held up the book with one hand and pulled Harry from behind with the other hand, "Be careful. Why didn't you dodge when you were stepping on the stones? You just walked over there forcefully."

Only then did Harry realize that what he was stepping on was not grass, but stones hidden in the grass.

Hermione couldn't hold it in any longer and she burst out laughing. She had seen clearly what kind of person Harry was after spending such a long time with him. There must be a reason why he didn't tell her. If he told her now, it meant he should be seeking help.

She was glad that there would be a day when Harry would need her help.

As the three of them were walking, they passed by an area that was surrounded by fences with a sign saying "No Entry" on it. There were also various protective barriers. Once someone touched it, all the teachers in Hogwarts Castle would feel it, and Fawkes would use his teleportation ability to rush there as soon as possible.

Harry looked at the big hole and grinned. He didn't believe that Dumbledore was unable to fix it. How could he have forgotten?

Dumbledore said that this matter was very unfair, and that Harry's injury and coma had almost made him forget about it. Coupled with Fawkes's abnormality, those who were capable had forgotten about it, while those who were not capable looked at this big pit at a loss.

By the time he realized what was happening, the best time for repair had already passed. Dumbledore waved his hand and decided to cordon off the area as a warning, and launched an academic exchange activity among faculty and staff to screen out any bad guys that might be lurking in the teaching staff.

The three of them came to the edge of the Black Lake. The lake had thawed for some time. The octopus that had stayed in the lake for a long time was now excitedly showing its tentacles and baring its teeth and claws in the distant waters.

Hermione was waiting for Harry to speak, but Harry kept staring at the giant octopus playing in the distance, as if he was particularly interested in it.

Hermione sighed and got straight to the point, "Christmas, and the time before Christmas, or the last time you were injured."

All three of them understood the timing of Harry's injury.

"None of them is the real you." Hermione said firmly. It was obvious that this conclusion had been lingering in her mind for a long time, but she just didn't say it out loud for various reasons.

Harry showed a slightly surprised look, and Ron also found it incredible. He asked again and again, "How did you find out?"

"Of course this is simple, but it still requires some clues, as well as reasoning and deduction based on the clues." Hermione poured out the analysis process in her mind.

"First of all, Harry, you have become a little too perfect after being injured."

Harry lay down on the lawn, letting the cold wet grass give him a moment of clarity. He stretched out his arm and pulled Ron down with him.

Ron felt the force behind him and smiled helplessly. He then lay down obediently and stretched out his arms to align with Harry's arms.

"You lie down too," Harry said.

Before Hermione could retort, Harry and Ron, without any discussion, each took an arm and pulled Hermione down.

"You really are," Hermione frowned and felt that what was beneath her was no longer grass and soil, but a soft green blanket. She relaxed her brows and lay down happily, pushing Ron and Harry to the sides.

"Of course I'm not jealous of you," Hermione began to list the things she had observed that were wrong.

Whether it was her personal image or her behavior towards classmates, she turned Seamus, a once dirty man, into her fanatical fan, and changed the teacher's attitude from admiration to genuine liking and preference. She was considerate of every aspect, no matter how big or small. When she received the shampoo and conditioner mixed with the Christmas gifts, her doubts reached its peak.

The suspicion began when Harry, after recovering from his illness, returned to the Gryffindor common room, approached her, gently put a blanket on her, and tiptoed towards the stairs.

Here, Harry interrupted.

"I'm not that inconsiderate or careless."

Hermione glared at Harry. With Harry's carefree attitude, he would just think that her fluffy hair was normal. He would not be as considerate as a girl and specially give her a hair care product.

Harry knew he was wrong, so he kept his mouth shut.

"So you're useless?" Harry asked.

"This is not nonsense," Hermione felt that this was obvious and there was no need to ask.

"Why?" Ron wondered.

"I'm afraid it's poisonous, or some unknown curse or something." Hermione responded as a matter of course. How could such a scheming person use it with confidence without knowing enough about this magical world? She didn't want to die.

that--

"You knew that at Christmas?"

Ron recalled that day when he made up a random excuse and Hermione actually believed it. He thought that his speaking ability had greatly improved, but he didn't expect that -

Hermione nodded. After returning from Christmas, Harry's image had changed drastically. The inexplicable appearance of that person and the familiar expression on Dudley were all things she had seen on the previous Harry.

Ron's inexplicable attitude after this Harry came back, and Harry's performance in class, although very skilled, was not the way the professor taught. This was impossible for Harry, who was a perfect model student before.

Instead, he is more like the talented, fledgling Harry.

"Then you--" Ron hesitated, not knowing whether he should say it.

"I'm much smarter than you. I went to see the headmaster a long time ago." Hermione was very proud.

"The headmaster once hinted to me, which is one of the reasons why I confessed today." Harry was a little embarrassed.
