Harry Potter and the Rebirth

Chapter 219 Fighting

Harry's tentative call finally brought him to the real Grindelwald. His face gradually began to melt, revealing his old but powerful face. His pupils turned into two colors, looking imposing and convincing. He turned around and greeted Dumbledore in the portrait.

Dumbledore turned his back and walked out of the portrait frame, seeming very embarrassed, and Grindelwald laughed.

Harry turned his head away consciously. Whenever he saw the two of them interacting, it always felt a little awkward.

Grindelwald walked up to Harry and patted him on the shoulder. "I'm sorry to hear the news. My condolences." Harry was stunned for a moment before he realized what Grindelwald said. He didn't expect that the usually strict teacher would become gentle today.

Harry lowered his head, looking sad. Not really, maybe there was still a possibility of resurrection. He touched the envelope inside his sleeve. The special texture made him feel at ease. Here, carrying a special weight, would it be useful? For the first time, Harry hoped that Dudley's words would come true. This was the pillar that supported him to stay calm.

The two of them sat on the sofa, and the soft chair made Harry feel a little safe.

"I thought you would recognize me on the first day." Grindelwald crossed his legs and produced a glass of red wine out of thin air with his left hand. The air above the glass quickly condensed and round ice cubes appeared. The crisp collision sound attracted Harry's attention.

He stared at the red wine in the teacher's hand. The deep red color reflected on the wall of the glass, casting a dazzling halo.

Harry didn't have to take the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, so most of their meetings took place in the Great Hall. Looking at the blurry face through the crowd, he only knew that there was a new teacher.

"I didn't look closely." Harry smiled shyly.

Grindelwald sighed and lifted Harry up. "Come, let me see what you have learned in this period of time—"

Harry was in a trance for a moment, then he felt dizzy and a strong feeling of nausea surged into his chest, making him want to vomit.

"Doesn't Apparition allowed in Hogwarts?"

Harry only had time to throw out these words before he was thrown hard onto the lawn. In front of him was the Black Lake, and farther behind him was the Hogwarts castle. The lawn was quiet and empty, without a single person in sight. Even Hagrid's hut had disappeared.

Where on earth is this?

"Don't worry about where this is. Just show me the results of your practice."

Grindelwald seemed to have guessed what Harry was thinking, and he was not prepared to answer.

Harry calmed himself, took a deep breath, and raised his wand. He was also very curious about how much he had grown after going through all the hardships during this period.

"Then keep it the old way."

"Yes, same as always." Grindelwald nodded and just stood there with his hands behind his back without even taking out his wand. This made Harry feel a little despised, but this was a good opportunity.

Harry used a silent and wandless spell to put on a layer of armor to protect himself in order to guard against some of Grindelwald's less noticeable offensive magic.

Looking at the white hair of the old man in front of him, Harry suddenly had an idea. Since Grindelwald was there, he would never burn down the entire Hogwarts, right?

He opened his eyes, and the traces of magic flow in front of him began to become clear. In the middle seemed to be a blazing sun, which was as bright as Dumbledore's, and even slightly stronger.

And among them there was a noticeable trace, slowly moving towards Harry.

I knew this old man was going to launch a sneak attack, Harry complained in his heart, this is already an old routine, the fight between them was not like a normal wizard duel, where two people faced each other and bowed to each other, but it was like a real battlefield, with all kinds of sneak attacks and dirty tricks performed one after another.

Harry moved his left foot slightly to avoid the attack range of the spell. Grindelwald on the opposite side raised his eyebrows, but was not surprised. He had already witnessed Harry's special ability three years ago. However, since he had seen it once, how could he make such a low-level mistake?

Harry suddenly felt a strong gust of wind at his back, and then his body flew forward involuntarily. He hurriedly stabilized his body in the air, and the armor protecting his body shattered piece by piece.

"You're serious!"

It turned out to be Grindelwald. He used some unknown means to make his spell go around in a big circle and attack from behind. Harry didn't even expect it.

"For real! Hurry up, kid!"

Grindelwald used 30% to 40% of his magical power, and the magic he had access to during his student days at Hogwarts, and began to fight with Harry.

Even though Grindelwald had shown mercy, Harry was still suppressed and couldn't breathe. His magic power was rapidly consumed, as if it had reached its limit.

Although Grindelwald didn't say anything, he slowed down his movements and there was some disappointment in his eyes. If it was just this extent, then he hadn't grown much since the last time they met. Was my requirement too strict?

If Harry is like this, how should he bear the burden of the prophecy?

Harry's arms began to tremble slightly, and he soon lost his rhythm under Grindelwald's attack. He rushed around in panic and soon fell to the ground, gasping for breath and with red cheeks.

He had both hands propped up on the grass, a white light flickering in one of his palms, but Harry moved his body, blocking Grindelwald's view.

"No, kid, you need to practice hard. Let's forget about it today."

Grindelwald sighed, and without preparing to help Harry up, he turned around, his back looking a little hunched.

His steps were paused in mid-air, for the road ahead of him was blocked. A burst of blazing white flames rose into the sky, with a dragon baring its fangs and claws inside. The flame at the top was a light blue, and the air around it began to evaporate. There was a crisp explosion, and Grindelwald was unable to dodge, and a small bloody crater was blown out on his cheek.

He then flew into the air, but the flames on the ground followed his body, like a beast stalking its prey, biting Grindelwald tightly.

Harry lay comfortably on the ground with his arms above his head, watching Grindelwald dodging awkwardly in the air, and burst into laughter for the first time that day.

"Teacher, how am I doing in my training? Am I better than you?"

"Slippery boy!"
