Harry Potter: Reunion with the Enemy

Chapter 26 The Lost Prince

"Let's see what the Egyptian has to say." Draco thought to himself.

Lancelot quickly accepted the friend request and sent a quick message to say hello.

In the squash court, Draco keenly noticed that the Egyptian boy not only had a chocolate-like complexion, but also had incredibly developed muscles, like a bodybuilding champion, which aroused a little hostility in him.

"Hey, hello. Harry just told me that you also work in Gringotts. Is the position in the Wealth Strategy Department a new position? I don't think I have heard of this department since I worked in Egypt." Lancelot spoke with some talent for being familiar.

"Yes, after the reform of Gringotts, new wizards were recruited to take up more core positions." Draco replied.

"That's great! It sounds like at least I don't have to go into ancient tombs and fight against mechanisms and zombie curses every day. Although a thrilling life is interesting, it will be tiring to be chased by zombies every day for too long." Lancelot expressed his envy.

"Cursebreaker is a challenging position, but why are you suddenly here at the junior squash tournament?" Draco demanded.

Lancelot sent a laughing emoticon, "Because when I was searching for goblin treasures in a pyramid before, a Muggle archaeological team unexpectedly came. During that time, I met a Muggle university professor who specialized in archaeology. I swapped some goblin treasures from his laboratory and received a generous reward from Gringotts."

"I was invited by him to watch the game as a friend. His son was the unlucky guy who was beaten badly by the boy you coached in the final." Lancelot added.

Draco hesitated for a moment, then decided not to tell this new colleague about the Felicis.

"Some of the goblin artifacts obtained by the professor during archaeological excavations were directly sent to museums or secretly sold at auctions. Since the existing spells do not have specific anti-theft technologies for Muggles, such as cameras and infrared rays, it is a bit difficult to obtain these targets at present. If they are sold at auctions, you, with your wealth strategy, may have to buy them back at high prices."

Draco remembered that Matthew had vaguely mentioned that this silver sword was a gift from a friend of the Lakeside Club who bought it at an auction.

"Lakeside Club, do you know about it?" Draco asked tentatively.

Lancelot answered quickly: "Of course, this professor is a member of the club. Some archaeological items are privately circulated on the black market for profit through this channel. It seems that your target is this group of people and the goblin products in their hands."

"Although the goblins are my employers and I should serve them loyally, the goblin products circulating in this club have some negative effects. It seems that someone is doing this intentionally."

"Please be safe. I'm going back to the ancient tomb to continue my work. I wish you good luck. Let's play squash together when you have time!"

This was the last message from Lancelot.

------------------------------------

Although Matthew finally rushed into the school at the speed limit, the group still arrived a little late than the agreed time.

Matthew dragged Alex straight into the rehearsal room, cursing all the way.

Fortunately, the protagonist of the play, Hamlet, the role that Alex was vying for, was in the last selection.

Draco and Harry sent Matthew away on the pretext of doing makeup for Alex.

Harry expertly opened his makeup bag and styled Alex like a Danish prince, then naturally asked Alex to close his eyes.

Draco calmly opened the briefcase containing the silver sword, quickly cast a duplication spell, and put the real sword into his backpack which had been cast with a stretching spell.

Phew. It seemed to be going well. All that was left was to wait until the audition was over and fly back to the Ministry for testing. Harry caught a glimpse of Draco's movements from the corner of his eye and breathed a sigh of relief.

Under Harry's care, Alex looked much neater and more energetic. Draco, carrying a backpack, joked as usual: "It seems not authentic enough. Hamlet in Shakespeare's works is so fat that he can't breathe..."

Alex quickly glared at Draco, "My version is a skinny, melancholy prince."

While the three were joking with each other, Matthew, who had been sent away, returned to them at some point.

Sure enough, within a few minutes, Matthew found a new argument to attack his child. "I don't think your small improvement in squash should make you careless. You know, in order to prevent you from going down the road of failure, Lina and I decided to have a new child."

"You know, if you can't follow the path we want, your brother or sister will definitely take your place..."

Draco couldn't stand Matthew's self-righteous criticism any longer, so he quietly took out his wand and cast a silencing spell on Matthew.

Alex was so upset by his father's new criticism that tears welled up in his eyes, and he didn't even notice that his father had fallen silent for a moment.

Soon, the competition for the role of the protagonist began, and Alex walked forward dejectedly, dragging the fake silver sword.

The audition segment was the last scene of Hamlet, a sword fight. Because of the poison on the swords and the poisoned wine, the treacherous king, the queen, Hamlet and Laertes all died.

"In fact, as a duel scene and ending, it is still too tragic and coincidental." Draco stood aside and complained softly.

"Then what kind of ending do you like? Hamlet stabs the villain to death and then becomes a new king representing light?" Harry asked.

"Maybe what Hamlet wants is not the throne, nor the mission of revenge..." Draco narrowed his eyes and thought.

Before he could finish, Alex encountered some accidents during the audition. His mood was affected by his father and he had to hold back tears the whole time. After the actor acting opposite him accidentally cut the wound on his leg again with a prop sword, fresh red blood began to seep out of the fabric of his right leg.

As if his psychological defenses were broken, Alex collapsed and stabbed the silver sword into the floor, covering his face and sobbing.

The other actor who was acting opposite him was obviously stunned, but in order to avoid a dull moment, he had to bite the bullet and improvise: "Get up, Hamlet, are you a coward? Fight me!"

Alex's Hamlet stumbled to his feet, but ignored the joust and went straight to his enemy, the treacherous king, his stepfather, and poured the poisoned wine directly into his mouth, "Go to hell. It's over."

The audience, judges and other young actors were all stunned by Alex's sudden action.

Alex didn't say anything else, just walked out of the audition room.

Harry was a little surprised: "But the Felicis potion we gave him should not have expired yet."

Draco raised the corner of his mouth. "If this is the ending, the rest of Hamlet's life is a more perfect tragedy. His beloved Ophelia, his biological father, and his former mother are actually dead. Isn't it more painful to be a walking corpse than to die?"

Harry gave up thinking, "Let's go, now that we have the silver sword, let's go check Alex's wound."

"Using distilled essence would seem too obvious." Draco sighed.

"But I feel a little sorry for this little bitter melon." Harry also sighed.

"You should feel sorry for me too. After carrying this silver sword for so long, I finally feel the effects." Draco stopped.

No wonder he was so far away from me most of the time just now.

Harry looked a little unhappy, and asked quickly, "Are there any specific symptoms? Do you want to go to St. Mungo's Hospital now?"

"It's okay. I feel like it's forcing me to recall the bad things I've done before, and then forcing me to imagine in my mind the scenarios where I'll fail in the future." Draco described slowly.

"I think the side effect is that people want to find something that might numb their brains."

"Wine?" Harry naturally thought of the Forsyth family's performance.

"I think addictive potions will work too." Draco grabbed Harry's tie and said, "You should come back immediately after the Ministry of Magic sends it for inspection."

"Hmm?" Harry looked up at Draco's misty eyes.

"Come with me to the bar."
