Harry Potter: Reunion with the Enemy

Chapter 30 Weasley Family Dinner

Four o'clock in the afternoon, the Burrow.

To celebrate George signing a Quidditch advertising spot, the Weasley family took time out for a family gathering this weekend.

"I didn't expect everyone to support my grand gamble." George sighed as he decorated the door frame with props from the Magic Trick Shop.

"I'll make a wish to see the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes logo and the England team's badge at the same time on the Quidditch World Cup pitch." Bill poked his head out of the kitchen, the metal plates on his leather boots making a jingling sound. "What could be more wonderful than this idea."

A group of people were doing their own job preparing for the evening dinner.

Ron and Hermione were setting up the table in the garden, George and Angelina were setting up the celebratory decorations, Percy and Charlie were waving their wands to repair the wear and tear of the house. Fleur, Bill, Ginny, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley were all in the kitchen, and for a moment the small Burrow was packed with people.

"That's not how we make fish soup in our country," Fleur commented in a French accent, taking a look at the contents of Mrs. Weasley's soup pot.

"You can make another one with the taste of your hometown." Ginny shook her red hair, directed the knife to quickly cut the vegetables into neat piles, and waved her wand to make them fly out of a graceful arc and fall directly onto the plate on the other side of the kitchen. "Enrich the taste on the table. Let's have a British and French fish soup competition."

"I'd better fry more beef. Bill likes it." Furong seemed to think seriously and finally decided not to serve two large pots of fish soup. "But he almost gave up eating vegetables completely. I'm thinking about whether to cook vegetables and meat together so that he can eat more balanced."

At this moment, Bill was pulled aside by Mr. Weasley to study the innovative Muggle kitchen utensils. Mr. Weasley could hardly hide his excitement. "Look, you pour the raw vegetables and meat in, add the seasoning, cover the lid, click this button, and then wait for it to automatically make a perfect dish. It's amazing!"

Bill sniffed the aroma coming out of the machine. "Cool. Maybe this can be used for breakfast, too? That way I don't have to get up early to prepare sandwiches."

Mr. Weasley squinted at the buttons. "Let me see - maybe. Muggles seem to have something called a breakfast machine."

The humming sound of the machine frying food and the clinking sound of dishes being rinsed in the sink behind me mixed together.

The other side. The garden.

"I can't believe Harry hasn't replied to my owl yet. I sent him a letter last night." Ron said to Hermione beside him in confusion while helping Mrs. Weasley clean up the dining table in the yard. "He just went back to the Ministry of Magic yesterday, but I forgot to invite him to the family gathering today."

Hermione tapped the tabletop, and the old wood instantly became shiny: "Maybe he's busy? Or -" Then she took out a Muggle phone from her pocket, and the message she sent to Harry was still unread. Hermione raised an eyebrow because she saw Draco in the list clearly online.

"Is Harry with you now? Ron hasn't replied to the owl letter he sent to him." Hermione sent a message to Draco.

"He's hungover and still sleeping. You'd better wait until he's rested before reading the message from that noisy little owl. If you want me to reply on his behalf, I will help him reject it." Draco replied quickly.

"Why? He's never drunk before! Hungover!" Hermione suddenly felt her shoulders sink. It was Ron who came over.

Ron leaned in and read the message from Draco carefully. "Is this profile picture of Malfoy? Why is he with Harry?" His ears were gradually turning red, which was a dangerous signal. "Did he use some trick to get Harry drunk? The Malfoy bastard."

"Because the Ministry of Magic has a mission to cooperate with Gringotts." Hermione quickly calmed Ron. "Harry went back to the Ministry of Magic yesterday probably because of the mission. I also met the two of them last time in Hogwarts."

"Do you know where he lives? I want to go and see him. I'm worried." Ron was about to set off.

"Of course I don't know." Hermione replied calmly.

"What's wrong, little Ron?" George came out of the house happily carrying a large serving of roast chicken with mint and mashed potatoes, followed by Angelina.

Ron held his face and yelled, "Malfoy! Harry was on a mission with that Malfoy, and he got drunk! He's still not awake. I smell a conspiracy. What kind of mission would the Ministry of Magic have that would require people to drink?"

Hermione calmly replied again, "It's probably a goblin product with a mind-interfering effect. Wine is the most easily available drink to empty the mind."

"Malfoy? The boy from Slytherin?" Angelina keenly noticed that her husband George's face became stiff.

Mr. Weasley and Bill put the food from the Muggle automatic cooking machine on the dining table as if they were presenting treasures. They were about to invite everyone to have a taste when they suddenly noticed that the faces of several people who were already there looked unhappy.

"What's wrong?" Bill looked at everyone in confusion.

Ron repeated the whole story again, and Percy, who was passing by, couldn't help but snorted after hearing it.

George reached out his hand to Hermione, took the phone, and pressed the voice button: "If you dare to bully our little Harry, you're done for, you little golden-haired rascal."

Percy took it and also sent a voice message: "Based on my understanding of the Ministry of Magic's regulations, if Harry wakes up and accuses you of your behavior, I will assist in the investigation and make sure you get the punishment you deserve."

Ron grabbed it and yelled, "If you dare to do anything evil, I will tear your house down!"

Angelina said hesitantly, "I don't think you did anything bad, right?"

Bill: "Win by fair means."

Mr. Weasley interrupted: "What is this? A Muggle owl?"

On the other side, inside the apartment, because the curtains were not drawn, the whole room was still shrouded in the dim light that filtered through the thick curtains.

Draco settled Harry on his bed on the first floor. At this moment, Draco, leaning against the window, could still hear his even breathing.

In order not to disturb Harry's rest, Draco, who was wearing headphones and turning on his phone to vibrate, had a blush on his pale face.

Because he had just listened to a series of bombarding voice messages, and when Ron yelled, he accidentally dropped his phone on the ground because of his shaking hands.

The phone hit the floor a few times and slid a long way away.

As if hearing a noise, Harry moved beside him and finally opened his eyes.

"Are you awake?" Draco pulled open a small curtain to let in the light.

Harry sat up sleepily and looked at his phone in the distance, "Um-what happened?"

Draco walked over and picked up the phone. "Nothing. Asking you to go to the bar seems to have made you miss the Weasley family party - the kind with a lot of people." Draco rubbed his eyebrows.

"Yeah...it's been a while since I've been with them. They're doing fine." Harry stretched drowsily. "I'll go write back to Mrs. Weasley."

Draco felt his heart twitch. It wasn't because of Weasley's voice bombardment that made him angry. He just thought of Harry's drunken muttering yesterday. What kind of home did he want? Is such a noisy home warmer?

Although Draco had laughed at the Weasley kids when he was a child, he sometimes envied the way they played together as brothers at Hogwarts.

Malfoy Manor seemed a little quieter.

Harry suddenly stopped what he was doing and smelled himself, "Hmm... seems to be your shower gel?"

"You vomited out the wine yesterday, so I helped you clean it up." Draco sighed softly. Who knew that the savior would get drunk after just one drink, and he chose to drink something with a very high alcohol content.

Harry seemed stunned, trying not to think about what "cleaning" actually meant.

Draco suddenly turned around and said, "Well...why don't you want to come to my family dinner? As compensation. Actually, my parents also want to thank you for your testimony for us."

Yes, he was going to take Harry back to Malfoy Manor, which these aggressive red-haired thugs wanted to raze.
