The End of the World: Chaos

Chapter 256 Dragon and Snake Rising from the Land

During the prosperous Qianyuan era, everyone in the court of the Great Zhou Dynasty knew that the rising star was the most powerful official of the generation. At this moment, this powerful person was sitting in front of an exquisitely carved sandalwood desk. Opposite him was his trusted adviser, named Ai'er. He looked worried and said in a low and fast voice: "In my humble opinion, Your Majesty should stay away from this beast to preserve the peace of the Jade Palace."

Nova Supreme stroked his beard, his brows full of wisdom and majesty: "It is better to stay away from him than to kill him with a single sword. Ai'er, do you want me to kill him with a single sword?"

Al was stunned, and then he explained: "That is not what I meant! Ronan's death will cause a great shock, especially between our dynasty and the Kree Empire. What we need is not an end to war, but a solid foundation for our country."

Nova Supreme sneered: "Stabilize the world? This is wishful thinking. Don't you know that Ronan has become a great obstacle to the reconciliation between our dynasty and the Kree? If he dies, all the grudges of the past will be resolved. Isn't this what you all want?"

Al frowned, knowing that what Nova Supreme said was true. Ronan was indeed stubborn and hard to be defeated. He stood between the two strong men, making the situation precarious. Despite this, Al was still uneasy in his heart: "Killing him would be immoral, and I am afraid that it would stir up even stronger waves and overturn our boat in an instant."

"Morality?" Nova Supreme sneered, "In a place where power is at stake, morality is nothing but an illusion. What we need is achievements, not kindness. Once Ronan leaves, our dynasty will be able to get help from the Kree. Isn't that what you want?"

El was silent, knowing that the Supreme had made up his mind. The grand plan of the alliance was the Nova Supreme's top priority, but Ronan's presence in it was undoubtedly the biggest disaster. Even though he was extremely reluctant, El could not go against the Supreme's will: "If things change, our dynasty may be left with nothing."

The Nova Supreme's eyes were like those of a hawk: "Nothing to gain? In this world, only heroes remain. Ai'er, the time to choose a path has come. You are my confidant, so you should understand it."

Al took a deep breath and finally nodded his head in agreement: "It is clear. I will serve you until my death."

"Good." Nova Supreme smiled, turned to the window, looked at the sky, and had mixed thoughts, with a vision of the future and worries about the unpredictable situation. "What are you going to do?" Al asked, with a light of expectation in his eyes.

"I want to attend their banquet in person." The New Star Supreme said firmly, "I need to make them trust me before I can keep them in my hands."

"Are you in doubt?" Al was worried.

"Safety is not the most important thing, success is the key." The New Star Supreme looked back, his eyes like torches, "I must make them trust me and forget my hostility. When they are least prepared, I can strike with thunder."

Ai'er's heart trembled slightly. Although he knew that this plan was very dangerous, he still agreed with the need for the Nova Supreme to make a bold decision. He tacitly agreed to his plan: "I will make all the arrangements and swear to keep you safe."

"Good." New Star Supreme smiled, a cunning look flashed across his eyes, "Everything must be completed when I attend the meeting tomorrow."

As the night deepened, the darkroom became filled with a heavy atmosphere. Al knew that what happened the next day would be a turning point in history and might rewrite the future.

At dawn, the morning light shone through the veil, and the hall was filled with anxiety. The Nova Supreme had dressed up early, wearing a gorgeous robe, showing his extraordinary temperament. Al watched silently, full of expectation and fear.

"What are your preparations?" Al asked, his concern evident in his words.

"Everything is ready." Nova Supreme smiled calmly, his eyes full of confidence, "Ronan, trust me without a doubt."

The two of them drove towards Ronan's palace. During the journey, Al repeatedly asked Nova Supreme to be careful and take precautions, but Nova Supreme was calm and confident.

Arriving at Ronan's mansion, Al's heartbeat quickened and he became increasingly nervous; the Nova Supreme remained calm and composed. After a knock on the door, the door opened and Ronan appeared, smiling faintly and looking cautiously: "The arrival of the Nova Supreme was unexpected."

"Mr. Ronan, thank you for meeting me." The Rising Star Supreme raised the corner of his lips slightly, trying to guess Ronan's expression.

"Please come in." Ronan stepped aside politely and guided the guest in.

The hall was spacious and the atmosphere was subtle. After Nova Supreme sat down, he said to Ronan, "I came here today to discuss our cooperation."

"Cooperation?" Ronan was stunned for a moment, then showed doubt, "Your country has always had grudges with Kerry. It is inconceivable that you would suddenly ask for cooperation."

"I firmly believe that only by uniting together can we seek common welfare." Nova Supreme said in a deep and resolute voice, "I know that you have great influence on the Kree, and you understand the position of Nova. We can resist foreign aggression together and build a strong alliance."

Ronan frowned slightly, his intuition telling him that this proposal was not simple, but the temptation in it was undeniable: "It makes sense, but I need to consider it carefully."

"Consider it?" Nova Supreme's voice was filled with urgency. "The situation is pressing, and the Kree is pressing us step by step. We have no time to delay. If we don't join forces, the consequences will be worrying."

Ronan's eyes wavered, knowing that the situation was urgent, but he would not compromise easily: "I want to see more solid evidence to show my sincerity."

"Proof?" The New Star Supreme smiled, feeling proud in his heart, "I will present you with a detailed plan, describing how we can cooperate and gain great benefits together."

"Yes." Ronan nodded, finally convinced by the Rising Star Supreme's determination. "I will carefully examine your proposal. I hope you understand that I don't trust others easily."

"I understand." Nova Supreme was delighted. The time had come. If he could gain Ronan's trust, then his plan would have a chance of being implemented.

Suddenly, there were hurried footsteps outside the door. Al's face turned pale and he whispered, "Something has happened, outsiders are approaching!"

Nova Supreme was alert, foreseeing the sudden change in the situation. He stood up quickly and glanced out the window. Several black carriages gathered in front of the door, and black-armored guards got off the carriages. The scene was immediately solemn and murderous.

"Ronan, run!" Al shouted with a panicked look on his face.

"Why?" Ronan Rong was solemn, realizing the seriousness of the situation.

"They are the messengers of the Kree, and they are here to kill you!" Al was terrified.

Nova Supreme was shocked and tried to figure out a solution. He knew that the current situation was complicated and his original plan might be frustrated.

"Ronan, retreat with me!" said the Rising Star Supreme resolutely, his eyes blazing.

Ronan hesitated for a moment, and finally the clouds and fog dissipated! The car drove away quickly, and the sound of the man in black chasing gradually faded away. Nova Supreme knew in his heart that although the plan failed this time, the relationship between him and Ronan became closer.

"Thank you. I will think carefully about what happened today." There was a hint of gratitude in Ronan's voice.

"It doesn't matter, we are all trying to survive." Nova Supreme smiled slightly, thinking secretly about the next plan.

In this era of uncertainty, they must unite in order to survive the ever-changing situation.
