The End of the World: Chaos

Chapter 440 In Danger

"Isn't he dead?" Banayan pointed at Hawkeye, confusion and uneasiness on his cheek. His past experience of fighting against various supernatural enemies now seemed pale and powerless at this moment, and the miracle of "resurrection" seemed like a nightmare.

"He is not dead. His heartbeat only stopped for fifteen minutes." Hill insisted, trying to calm everyone. "Our doctors acted in time and saved him."

Hawkeye sat at the table with a slight smile on his face, which showed that he was enjoying it. Even though his heart was in turmoil, he didn't want to break this delicate atmosphere at this moment.

"Then why didn't you tell us?" Tony smiled contemptuously, his words full of provocation, "We waited outside for a long time, and the result is that he was 'taking a nap'?"

"This is an encouragement, Tony." Hill reached out to calm the argument, and spoke as gently as possible, "You were all relaxed at the time, and you needed a force to gather you together."

"Your so-called power almost made me collapse." Black Widow unwillingly interrupted, her eyes like a knife, "You actually made me feel the pain of losing my comrades, and used this to motivate me?"

Hill showed helplessness on his face. He knew that everyone's sadness and resentment came from their concern for each other, and at the same time realized that the string of trust was in jeopardy.

"I have no intention of hurting you." Hill said softly, "But sometimes things have to be extreme, and I have to do it."

"Extreme measures?" Thunder God's voice was like thunder, his face full of anger, "This matter may shake our unity! I even feel that this is a betrayal!"

Hill sighed slightly, wanting to say something but stopping herself. She knew that everyone here had their own responsibilities and beliefs, but the lack of trust would surely cause the team to fall apart.

"We are not betraying." Anthony suddenly said in a low and upright voice, "I understand Hill's decision. Today's war is for the greater good. Although the sacrifices are terrible, this is the reality."

Tony turned around, looking surprised, "Are you on her side?"

"I'm just judging the facts, Tony." Anthony shook his head slightly, his expression firm, "Sometimes sacrifices must be made to save more lives."

"You two are really weird." Iron Man sneered, his sarcasm was evident in his words, "To save all living beings, you actually sacrifice yourself? What a beautiful theory!"

"But if I hadn't taken action this time, more innocent people would have died." Hill said, putting an end to the debate. "Tony, you know this very well."

"Okay, let's assume that your 'incentive' is acceptable to us." Banner finally stood up, his face serious, tapping the table to guide the topic forward, "How should we respond next? The uncertainty of this mission still exists."

"We need a detailed plan." Hill nodded slightly, "Yang Yi will also participate in future operations."

"Him?" Tony sneered, his face full of disdain. "He seems indifferent. I don't think he can help us."

"This is exactly what you have never tried before." Hill emphasized, "We need someone to break the current situation, and Yang Yi's ability is what we need."

"If he loses control again, the consequences will be even more serious." Black Widow frowned, full of doubts.

"I will monitor its dynamics." Hill thought for a moment, and finally compromised, "We will provide the necessary support to ensure that it does not deviate from the track."

"I hope it will be as you say." Thor's tone softened a little, but the uneasiness in his heart still lingered.

"Then we need to be well prepared." Anthony looked around at everyone and smiled, "Success or failure depends on our cooperation. No matter what, the Avengers are always one family!"

Everyone nodded. Although they still had doubts in their hearts, the future direction seemed clear. Hill stood up and said firmly, "Well, we should quickly formulate a detailed plan. Only by uniting together can we meet the challenge that the enemy will take!"

"Well said!" Hawkeye responded softly, emitting an aura of tenacity, as if suggesting that he resonated with everyone else.

The Avengers gradually realized that no matter how difficult and dangerous the situation was, they could only overcome the dark forces by working together. This was the belief that the Avengers had always held.
