The End of the World: Chaos

Chapter 469: The tense atmosphere

Yang Yi looked down at the guards in front of him. His face was as hard as steel and his eyes were as sharp as torches. He seemed invincible. The air around him was filled with a tense atmosphere, and even the breeze seemed particularly heavy.

"Listen to me." Yang Yi's voice echoed on the high walls of the castle, ringing in the ears like thunder. "Today you will face me, and your fate is in my hands."

The guards had different expressions, some were terrified, and some kept exchanging glances. A guard had a layer of cold sweat on his forehead, obviously he had not expected the situation to develop to this point. Yang Yi smiled slightly, breaking the stagnation.

"You may be wondering why I give you this opportunity? In fact, the reason is simple. The chance of survival should be fair, and the premise is that you have to rely on luck." He said, the flashing gun in his hand looked particularly dazzling under the sunlight.

"Here, I have five bullets, and you have six lives. If you want to survive, it depends on your luck." As soon as these words came out, the air froze instantly.

As Yang Yi loaded the last bullet into the chamber, his finger pressed the trigger slightly. With a crisp "click", the first bullet was fired, aiming directly at the guard in front.

"boom!"

The bullet cut through the air and hit the target accurately. The guard fell to the ground without any reaction, and the blood immediately dyed the ground red. The heartbeats of the other guards seemed to be shocked by this scene, and they were all panicked.

"Yes, you have good luck." Yang Yi said solemnly, and then aimed his gun at the second guard, "But the next luck depends on you."

"Mercy...mercy!" a guard shouted hurriedly, sweat dripping from his forehead like raindrops, his face full of fear.

However, Yang Yi's hand did not stop.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" Four gunshots rang out in succession. The four guards were shot one after another, blood splattered everywhere, and they all fell to the ground. The atmosphere suddenly became dangerous and weird. Four bodies lay quietly outside the castle, and blood continued to spread like a red stream, which was chilling.

"The last lucky person seems to be you." Yang Yi stared coldly at the only surviving guard, his eyes as cold as a knife, as if he was examining his soul.

The guard shook his head innocently, his lips trembling slightly, "I... I didn't do anything wrong! Why are you killing me?"

"Why?" Yang Yi asked back, hesitating for a moment, as if pondering this profound question, "Because in this game of life and death, no one will show mercy because of your innocence. Maybe I can let you go, but that is purely my choice, not because you deserve it."

He walked slowly towards the guard, the bullet clip in his hand made a crisp sound, as if conducting a silent trial. The guard could not help but take a few steps back, his face as pale as paper, and even his breathing became rapid.

"I...I will go!" He finally stammered out these words and turned to run towards the castle.

"Wait a minute!" Yang Yi shouted loudly, his voice was as shocking as a huge bell. The guard's heart was hit hard again. He was terrified and turned around with a pale face.

"Are you really going there? That place is the territory of the other two evil stars." Yang Yi smiled as if he was relaxed, but the aura he exuded revealed an invisible oppression.

This sentence made the guard stop in his tracks, and his inner struggle made him at a loss for a moment. "What...what are you talking about?"

"What I mean is, you can choose not to leave, or continue to die." Yang Yi's voice was low, as if he was deliberately teasing him, as if everything was under his control.

"But..." The guard was hesitant and helpless, "I would rather be killed by you than die at the hands of those people!"

"Then, if I let you go, will you stop killing people?" Yang Yi raised his eyebrows slightly, with a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"I swear!" The guard nodded desperately, his eyes full of expectation, "I swear I will leave this place and never come back!"

"Okay, in that case, let's go." Yang Yi retracted the gun and said coldly. It seemed that fate had already determined that everything would come to an end with his words.

The guard retreated as if he had been granted amnesty, and quickly fled towards the castle. At that moment, his figure seemed particularly small in the afterglow of the setting sun.

"Goodbye, brave guy." Yang Yi said softly, and his voice echoed outside the empty castle.

Staring at the fleeing figure, Yang Yi shook his head slightly, and then turned his gaze to the remaining guards behind him. Although they had lost the will to resist at this moment, he knew it very well, and he slowly reloaded his bullets, his face becoming more and more cruel.

"Now, it's your turn." He said slowly, his tone revealing great majesty and oppression.
