Necromancer, summon skeletons, practice the Heaven-Swallowing Magic Skill
Chapter 54 The strong men from the Dark Council are coming!
Another half a month passed.
Lu Ming continued to practice peacefully as usual.
Since the Godhead has the ability to hide its aura, although the members of the Dark Council have not yet determined who has obtained the Godhead, they already know that the Godhead has appeared in the Magic Academy.
Back then, in the grove behind the academy, the divine nature took the initiative to activate itself and constructed a magic teleportation array in order to take Lu Ming to the City of Death.
Even though a lot of time had passed, the god-level power unique to the Undead was still discovered by the people of the Dark Council.
……
In this quiet forest, two young magicians held special sensing props and exchanged nervous and excited glances with each other. They were wearing academy uniforms, but under the uniforms, they hid unknown identities - they were secret members of the Dark Council.
One of the magicians, named Light, lowered his voice and said, "Look, Rose, this thing actually lights up!"
Rose, another magician, stared at the prop in her hand, which was a small box inlaid with gems, which were emitting a faint blue light.
"Incredible," she whispered, "This means... we really have found a clue."
Wright nodded, his heartbeat quickening, he could almost hear his pulse pounding. "We should report it right away," he said, "This is a great discovery, we may be rewarded by the parliament."
Rose hesitated, but she knew the opportunity was fleeting.
"You're right," she agreed, "but we have to be careful not to draw unnecessary attention to it. After all, we don't know if anyone else here knows about this."
Light quickly pulled out a small mirror, a magical tool they used for emergency communication. "I'll send the signal," he said quietly, "and you're ready to explain everything we've found."
Rose nodded and began to organize her thoughts, preparing to report to the parliament the location of the divine undead magic aura they had discovered.
"Remember," she said, "we have to stay calm. This is our moment to prove ourselves."
Light sent a series of flashing light signals through the mirror, which was their secret code for contacting the Dark Council.
After a while, a response signal came from the mirror, confirming that their message had been received.
"They know," Aiden told Rose, "Now, we just have to wait for further instructions."
The two looked at each other, their hearts filled with anticipation and a hint of uneasiness.
They know that this discovery could change their lives, or put them in danger, but they also understand that as members of the Dark Council, this is their mission, and they must face whatever awaits them.
After receiving the urgent report from the two students, the top leaders of the Dark Council acted quickly. They held an emergency meeting in a hidden and mysterious secret room.
This room is full of ancient magic. Tapestries depicting runes and magic circles hang on the walls, and every decoration reveals a deep history of magic.
In the center of the room, a round table is surrounded by a thick ancient book, which records the wisdom and secrets of the Dark Council over countless years.
The high-ranking officials were dressed in robes and hoods, their faces were blurred in the flickering candlelight, only their eyes flickered in the shadows, revealing greed and ambition. They sat around the table and talked in low voices, and every word revealed their desire for godhood and their anticipation for the upcoming action.
"We have waited for this moment for too long," a senior executive with a hoarse voice broke the silence, "This may be our last chance. We must not let anyone get ahead of us."
Another senior member nodded in agreement: "We need to formulate a thorough plan to ensure that the Godhead falls into our hands. We can no longer rely on those junior members. This operation must be carried out by us personally."
"I agree," the third person interrupted, "We must act quickly, but not too hastily. The power of the godhead cannot be underestimated. It can attract the attention of various forces. We must act cautiously so as not to alert the enemy."
As the discussion progressed, each senior executive weighed the pros and cons in their minds, trying to figure out the best plan of action.
They knew very well that this was not just a fight for godhood, but also a battle that would determine the future fate of the Dark Council.
Any mistake in this process could have devastating consequences.
Finally, they reached a consensus, and a bold and detailed plan gradually took shape.
The high-ranking officials dispersed, but their eyes were all burning with the same goal - to keep the godhead in the hands of the Dark Council at all costs.
As they left, the secret room fell into silence again, leaving only the ancient magical scent in the air and the sound of flipping pages in the ancient book, as if foreshadowing an impending storm.
……
After the high-level meeting, the two students from the magic academy got their rewards as they wished.
Each of them received a piece of high-level magic equipment and was asked to continue investigating whether there were any undead wizards with strange behaviors in the magic academy.
After receiving this instruction, the first thing they thought of was Lu Ming.
Because the Undead Department of the Magic Academy had been in decline for a long time, apart from the senior necromancer Selina, there was only one freshman, Lu Ming.
Logically speaking, an Undead Mage should be very weak, but this guy turned out to be ridiculously powerful. In the freshman competition, he actually defeated Liu Ruyan from the Space Department and won first place.
With a tentative mindset, the two reported the details about Lu Ming.
After analysis, the top leaders of the Dark Council agreed with the two and felt that this new magic student named Lu Ming was very suspicious.
In this way, Lu Ming was targeted by the Dark Council without his knowledge.
After ending the contact, Wright and Rose left the grove and came to the outside of Lu Ming's dormitory.
As instructed, the top leaders of the Dark Council will send strong men to deal with this matter.
In order not to alert the enemy and prevent the teachers of the academy and the strong men from other forces from being alarmed, what the two of them have to do now is to monitor Lu Ming's whereabouts first.
After the strong men from the Dark Council had arranged everything in the wilderness outside the city, they were trying to find a way to lure Lu Ming out of the academy and to the designated location.
Then not only did they complete their mission, but they also made a great contribution.
Wright and Rose felt very relaxed about this kind of thing which did not require them to fight and yet they could get generous rewards, and they did not realize the seriousness of the problem.
……
Near Lu Ming's dormitory, Wright and Rose found a hidden corner where they could clearly see the entrance and exit of the dormitory but would not be easily discovered.
They decided to take turns on duty to ensure that no important information would be missed.
"Rose," Light whispered, "We need to stay vigilant. Although Lu Ming looks like just a student, he is valued by the Dark Council. I'm afraid he may be much more dangerous than we think."
Rose nodded and replied, "Yes, Wright, but we can't be too nervous. Our mission is to monitor, not to confront. As long as we act according to the plan, there shouldn't be any big problems."
They began to take turns monitoring, with Wright taking over first while Rose stood aside, ready to rest in case of emergency.
As time passed, they observed that there seemed to be nothing unusual in Lu Ming's life. He stayed in the dormitory most of the day and rarely went out.
However, Wright and Rose did not know that their surveillance actions had attracted Lu Ming's attention.
As a strong man in the Demon Pill Realm, Lu Ming possesses divine consciousness.
At such a close distance, Lu Ming could see everything.
In the dormitory, Lu Ming woke up from his practice.
He opened his eyes and looked through the wall at the place outside the door where the two people were hiding.
He did not alert the enemy, but whispered thoughtfully: "I want to see who sent you to monitor me and what you want to do..."
At the same time, while Light and Rose were concentrating on surveillance, the top leaders of the Dark Council had sent a powerful necromancer.
The necromancer's name was Asmodeus, a great mage, a master close to the sanctuary level. He was given the task of secretly approaching and evaluating Lu Ming, and taking action if necessary.
Asmodeus set up complex traps and barriers in the wilderness on the edge of the city, waiting for Lu Ming's arrival.
He was fully aware of the importance of this mission, and also knew that if the matter was exposed, it would trigger a conflict between the School of Magic and the Dark Council, and might even lead to more serious consequences.
So he was very cautious.
When everything was arranged, he contacted Wright and Rose and asked them to lure Lu Ming over.
After receiving the message, the two were overjoyed, but with some nervousness, they walked to Lu Ming's dormitory and knocked on the door.
When they knocked on Lu Ming's dormitory door, Lu Ming had already packed his clothes and was ready. He opened the door and faced Wright and Rose with a gentle smile on his face. "Hello," he said, "Is there anything I can help you with?"
Wright and Rose looked at each other, and then Wright said, "Lu Ming, one of our friends is in trouble, and he needs the help of a powerful and reliable magician. We know your performance in the freshman competition, and we think you are the best candidate."
Lu Ming pretended to ponder for a moment, then nodded and said, "Okay, I will help you. But can you tell me where we are going?"
Rose responded quickly, "We need to get to a location on the edge of the city where our friends are trapped. It won't take too long, we promise."
Lu Ming smiled slightly, as if he had made a decision, and said, "Let's go! Time is precious, we shouldn't waste it."
As smooth as things went, Wright and Rose also had some surprises.
The two were not familiar with Lu Ming, and they originally thought that Lu Ming would refuse.
Unexpectedly, he agreed as soon as I opened my mouth.
This caused them to have some doubts.
However, in order to complete the mission, the two did not think much about it. After all, they brought Lu Ming to the designated location, and what happened next had nothing to do with them.
So the three of them left the academy and headed into the wilderness.
On the road, the three of them walked at a certain distance. Wright and Rose chatted from time to time, trying to create a relaxed atmosphere to ease their inner tension.
Lu Ming followed them silently, his eyes occasionally sweeping across the surrounding environment, as if he was observing every detail, while also thinking of a response strategy in his mind.
"Lu Ming," Wright tried to break the silence, "Your mastery of necromancy is really impressive. We witnessed your strength in person at the freshman competition, it was incredible."
Rose also agreed, "Yes, we heard that the Undead Department is not popular in the Magic Academy, but you can bring it to such a high level, which is really admirable."
Lu Ming smiled slightly. He understood that the two were trying to get closer by complimenting each other, but he did not let down his guard. "Thank you for your compliments," he responded politely, "I believe everyone has their own strengths. I am just doing what I like."
As they moved further away from the academy, the air became drier and the surrounding scenery became more desolate. Wright and Rose led Lu Ming through rugged terrain until they came to a seemingly secluded area.
