With her chin propped up, Davy looked at Beckman who was flipping through the newspaper: "Is this the latest newspaper today, Mr. Ben?"

"Even if this guy wants to hold banquets every day, we can still afford to buy a newspaper for 100 Baileys." Beckman turned a page of the newspaper: "Why, is there any news that interests you?"

"You should have seen it. There was a new pirate in Paradise who refused to become one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea." Devi turned her eyes to Shanks: "Portgas..."

The white face flickered in the flickering flames. Dawi stretched out a finger and drew a letter in the air.

"D. Ace." With a smile on her lips, Devi met Shanks' eyes and said, "D Clan, Shanks, you should know what this means."

"Portgas..." Shanks paused with a smile on his face.

Shanks obviously cared more about this last name than the D: "I really miss this last name. I always heard the captain mention it before. Does Devi-chan know this new guy?"

"Yes, he is familiar to you." Devi narrowed her eyes and said, "This guy is related to Luffy."

"What? It's related to Luffy!" When Luffy was mentioned, Shanks's originally nonchalant expression immediately turned into curiosity: "Then who is he? What's his relationship with Luffy?"

Looking at Shanks who rushed in front of her, Devi stretched out a finger and pressed it against his head: "I won't tell you. Wait for him to tell you himself."

"Huh? Why? Dewi-chan, you're asking me riddles again." Shanks was quite dissatisfied and frowned in protest.

"He should be coming to see you soon, so why don't you just ask him yourself then?" Poking Shanks's eyebrow, Dawi curled her eyebrows. She didn't act like a riddler to deliberately arouse Shanks' curiosity.

Looking at the bright red hair in front of her, Dawi thought of Leah on the Moby Dick, and the look in Leah's eyes when she looked at her, clear and dependent.

Unconsciously ruffling Shanks' red hair, Devi chuckled.

"Speaking of newspapers." Beckman put down the newspaper in his hand and picked up the wine glass on the table: "I remember three months ago, a special newspaper was sold for 200 Baileys. I still remember what was written on it."

"The death of the Celestial Dragon, the purple lightning, was it you who did it?"

"Yes, Devi and Baker told me that the impact of this incident is not small at all." Shanks raised his head: "I put a little effort into this matter, and the World Government is causing trouble for me."

"Isn't it a bit wrong to tell me even this?" Devi kneaded Shanks' cheeks with both hands and pulled them to both sides. The feeling was not very good. This sloppy uncle was a bit prickly without shaving. "You are a Celestial Dragon or something, I don't want to know such secrets at all."

Secrets often bring trouble.

Shanks smiled and didn't resist: "It's okay, now Devi-chan has a secret with me too."

Dawei raised her eyebrows: "Oh? I have a secret from you? How come I don't know it?"

"If Devi's ability is discovered by the Navy or the World Government, they will immediately find out that you did it, right?" Shanks' expression gradually became serious: "There are many moves that can use lightning, but purple-black lightning, Devi-chan, I've only seen you have it."

Dawei's smile gradually began to fade, and a dangerous aura gradually condensed in her eyes. She exerted force on her hands: "Oh? Really? Do you think I'm afraid of the navy, or do you think Ou Yaji is afraid of the navy?"

Shanks' cheek was pulled: "Hiss... It hurts a little, Devi-chan, I know you are not afraid, but the background of the World Government is far deeper than we thought."

"It's not the new era that will overturn the world yet, Devi-chan, the balance of the ocean cannot be broken yet." Shanks' expression was a little funny at this moment. One side of his face was pinched by Devi, and he was gasping for air, but on the other side he was trying hard to keep serious: "So... Devi-chan, you have to hide your ability first. It will be super super troublesome if you are targeted by the World Government..."

Devi was amused by Shanks' expression. She loosened her hand that was pinching Shanks' cheek and smiled again: "Don't worry, with the guys in the navy now, no one can make me use my ability. But if they go crazy, that's another story."

"What on earth is that all the time? Really, how can you be like Ou Yaji, telling me that the D clan is the enemy of God, but not telling me what it means."

Shanks, who was freed from Devi's hands, stood up straight, rubbing his cheeks which were left with two red hand marks, with a look of grievance visible to the naked eye: "The new era is an era that can subvert the world. In a sense, we are all people of the old era."

Giving Shanks a half-smile, Davi realized that he was starting to act like a riddle again. But Shanks was right about one thing: if those loyal dogs of the navy really started to go crazy for the Celestial Dragons, it would be a big trouble.

The high-end combat power of the Whitebeard Pirates is indeed the pinnacle of this world, but the combat power of the people under their command can only be considered average in the New World, and it would be difficult to take care of them if a real fight breaks out.

If possible, Davi would never want to see any member of the Whitebeard Pirates disappear.

With her eyelids lowered, Dawi looked at the flames burning in front of her. It seemed that the flames were about to go out, but Dawi added another piece of wood to the bonfire. With just this one piece, the fire started to jump and burn again.

"When will you be ready to grill, Lu? I'm hungry." Shanks took out a bottle of wine from somewhere and started to harass Lacy Lu who was grilling meat nearby.

"Wait a moment, Captain. It will be ready soon." Lazi Lu kept turning the barbecue in his hands while dealing with Shanks' harassment.

The wind and snow outside the cave were howling continuously. Davi stared at the dancing flames in front of her in a daze. In her ears was the noisy laughter of the red-haired pirates. Her thoughts drifted away with the flames.

Devi noticed a photo album on the chair next to her, which seemed to be the one Shanks was flipping through before Devi came.

Tilting her head, Devi spoke up: "Shanks, can you show me this?"

Shanks, who heard the voice, came over with two skewers of barbecue and sat down next to Dawi: "Davi, you want to see this, this is a photo I saved from the past."

Shanks handed the barbecue to Dawi, who was biting a skewer of barbecue in his mouth. He took the photo album and Dawi noticed that there was a life card under the album.

Could it be hers?
