Rebirth: The Fourth Lady Wants to Lie Down

Chapter 180 Decision before the Southern Tour

Yinzhen returned to the mansion in anger. In the afterglow of the setting sun, the dragon robe on his body seemed to be ignited by his anger, flashing a dazzling light. He rushed all the way, and as soon as he stepped into the mansion, he heard about what Wu Yazhixi had done. His face suddenly darkened, and his eyes flashed with anger.

He strode into the study and called Su Peisheng to his side, "Su Peisheng!"

"Your servant is here." Su Peisheng looked at the angry Yinzhen and immediately waited respectfully by his side.

Yinzhen said in a cold tone: "Su Peisheng, go to Wu Yazhixi's yard and tell her that from now on, she is under house arrest! Wait until my southern tour is over, and then come and see how she performs. During this period, she must copy Buddhist scriptures carefully, calm her mind, and don't cause trouble for me again!"

"Yes, I'll go right away." When Su Peisheng heard these words, he was startled, knowing that the prince was really angry this time.

He did not dare to delay and immediately took the order and hurried to Wu Yazhixi's yard with several guards.

Wu Yazhixi was leisurely enjoying the moon in the courtyard, and when she saw Su Peisheng and several guards hurrying in, she couldn't help but feel happy. She thought that this was someone sent by Yinzhen to inform her to prepare for the southern tour.

"Eunuch Su, why are you here?" Wu Yazhixi walked forward with a smile, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Su Peisheng did not show his usual warm smile, but a hint of seriousness on his face.

He saluted Wu Ya Zhi Xi, and then said: "Master Wu Ya, the prince has an order."

Wu Yazhixi was delighted, thinking that the news of the southern tour was going to be announced, so she hurriedly asked, "Has the prince decided to let me go with him on the southern tour?"

Su Peisheng shook his head and said coldly, "Master Wuya, the prince has ordered you to stay at home from today. During the southern tour, you are not allowed to step out of the door."

Wu Yazhixi was stunned when she heard this. The smile on her face gradually froze, replaced by a look of disbelief. She stared at Su Peisheng with wide eyes, as if trying to find a trace of a joke on his face.

"Father-in-law, you...are you kidding me?" Wu Yazhixi's voice trembled a little. She couldn't accept this fact.

Su Peisheng didn't say anything else, but just waved his hand, signaling the guards behind him to come forward.

He said coldly: "Master Wuya, please go back to your room. The prince has ordered you to copy the Buddhist scriptures carefully during your confinement to calm your body and cultivate your mind."

Wu Yazhixi felt dizzy and swayed a few times before barely able to stand still.

She shouted angrily: "I'm going to find Lord Beile! He can't do this to me! I'm his cousin!" As she said that, she was about to rush out.

However, the guards brought by Su Peisheng quickly stepped forward and blocked her way. They stood there expressionlessly, like an indestructible wall.

Wu Yazhixi struggled and cried, but it was no use. She looked at Su Peisheng's receding back, and the anger and unwillingness in her heart were like a blazing fire, almost swallowing her up.

Su Peisheng did not look back. He knew in his heart that the orders of the prince could not be disobeyed under any circumstances.

Returning to Yinzhen's study, Su Peisheng gently pushed open the door and walked in. Yinzhen was sitting at the desk, looking down at a memorial. His face was expressionless, and it was impossible to tell whether he was happy or angry.

Su Peisheng walked up to Yinzhen, bowed respectfully, and then reported in a low voice: "Master, Master Wuya has been arranged and is confined to the courtyard. I will send someone to guard her strictly."

Yinzhen raised his head, his eyes moved away from the memorial and fell on Su Peisheng.

He nodded calmly and said, "I understand." There was no trace of emotion in his voice.

Su Peisheng looked at Yinzhen hesitantly, wanting to say something but not knowing where to start.

Yinzhen seemed to see through his thoughts, put down the memorial in his hand, and said slowly: "Wu Yazhixi needs time to reflect on her mistakes and calm down her anger. Don't worry, I will take care of it."

Su Peisheng was relieved when he heard this. He knew that Yinzhen was a man of measure and would not change his mind easily after making a decision.

So he respectfully said "yes" and left the study.

Yinzhen looked at Su Peisheng's departing back, with a complicated look in his eyes. He knew Wu Yazhixi's temper and her fault this time. But he knew even more clearly that he needed to maintain the rules and order in the mansion. Wu Yazhixi's behavior had touched his bottom line, and he had to make such a decision.
