I am on the evil side? I am turning the tables!

Chapter 184 You Don’t Understand

"Brother, what's the matter with you calling me?" Chris lowered his head slightly. Rather than brothers, the relationship between them was more like that of superiors and subordinates, and there was no closeness between brothers.

The man with the backlight turned around, his wide-open collar clearly depicting his powerful skin texture. He had the same high-tied long silver hair and the same dazzling purple eyes, and they both looked different.

In front of Cronin, Chris's thin body looked a little weak.

"I heard that your condition has worsened? I found a new witch doctor for you, let him take a look."

"No, I'm fine." Chris's tone was filled with resistance, and he turned his head to look to the other side.

Clorin frowned, making his sharp brows look even more fierce. Chris inherited his mother's looks, with soft facial features. Long-term insomnia and lack of sunlight added to his appearance.

The two brothers stand together, one strong and one weak, the contrast is obvious.

"You have really made progress now. I am just concerned about you!" Krollin's tone became more serious.

"But I don't need your concern! Your concern is nothing more than sending someone to deliver some things I don't need at all, coming to see me when you have time, and sending your people to monitor me all the time!"

"Am I your brother, or your pet? Have you ever really cared about me since my mother died? You were too busy to even spare time for my parents' death anniversaries! Are you still a human being..."

A loud slap sounded in the empty courtyard. Chris's head was slapped to the side, and a slap mark appeared on his pale face. His purple eyes turned to glance at Krollin and he snorted coldly.

"I did all this for the tribe, for you, but what about you?"

"Stop using those high-sounding words! What do you mean by for me? If you really want to do this for me, then don't become the Wolf King. Does that position really have that much magic power? Why do you have to sit there?"

In fact, Chris really wanted his brother's care and concern, but for some reason, they always had endless quarrels and were always on edge whenever they met.

"You don't understand anything!" Clorin also wanted to get along well with his brother, but Chris didn't understand why he did this.

"Yes, I don't understand. How can I understand as well as the Supreme Lord of the Wolf Clan?" Chris sneered and nodded repeatedly.

"Chris!" Krollin shouted almost gritting his teeth, with veins faintly popping out on the sides of his face.

"I know my name. There's no need to remind me so loudly!" Chris yelled at him without giving in, and turned away without looking back.

"Did I let you go? Get back here!"

Chris simply ignored his scolding, and their meetings always seemed to end in a bad way.

Both of their parents were outstanding descendants of the Silver Moon Wolf Clan, and their father was once a close confidant of Jonar.

The reason Chris became what he is now is because he watched his father die at the hands of Jonal, and when his mother found out, she took his place and died in his place.

He would always remember that day when his mother stroked his head and told him not to be afraid, to forget what he had seen and not to tell anyone about it, not even his brother Clorin.

The sunset that day was as gorgeous as blood. My mother left home and never came back.

It was a long time before the sad news of her mother's passing came. Perhaps she had already guessed her own ending. She waved to them before leaving with a smile on her face. Even the last time she saw them was gentle and beautiful.

Crolin held his underage brother in his arms, smiled and waved to his mother, thinking that this was just a brief farewell and that his mother would be back soon.

In the past, every time the mother left, she would ask them what gifts they wanted. But this time, she said to Clorin, "You are an adult now. Gifts are for children. This time, mother will not ask you what you want. During the time when mother is away, you must take good care of your brother."

Crolin was also very sensible. "I am an adult now, so mother doesn't need to prepare any gifts for me. But what about Chris?"

"Him? Let's wait until his teeth are gone before we talk about it."

Chris looked at her pitifully, still not recovering from the horrific scene.

When Chris was little he didn't understand and just locked himself in the room and cried. Clorin thought that he just couldn't accept the death of both his parents and could only comfort him that everyone will die one day.

After that, Krollin accepted training as the successor and had tedious classes every day, so they had even less time to communicate.

Chris had imagined countless times in his mind that if he hadn't run around, hadn't seen that scene, hadn't panicked and made that noise, perhaps none of this would have happened.

But Chris was just a child at that time. He just wanted to play with his father, but he didn't expect that his mother would leave them because of him.

The shackles of guilt bound him tightly, making him unable to sleep all night. Even though their enemy Jonal died, the nightmare that haunted him still could not disappear. In his early years, Chris could only fall asleep by constantly torturing himself.

Only pain could make him fall asleep. When Clorin found him, Chris was covered in wounds. When asked why, he didn't say anything. He just held his head and cried, saying that he was really scared and couldn't sleep.

Sometimes Chris wanted to just ignore it and tell everything he saw, but what was the point of saying it when the enemy was dead? What's more, Jonal's disciple Pasak succeeded to the throne. Would Pasak tolerate them insulting their mentor?

Without saying anything, as the contemporary descendant of the wolf clan, Krollin has a bright future.

Chris doesn't want to harm his brother, while Clorin just wants to become stronger to protect his brother. They are obviously doing it for the good of each other, but they are drifting apart in the struggle and contradiction.

"Mom, I miss you so much. I... I'm really sorry..." Chris raised his head, tears welling up in his eyes and finally sliding down the corners of his eyes.

The sky in the black market was as dark as ever, and Chris had long been accustomed to such darkness.

Back at the villa, Chris gathered all the guards together. Two rows of people stood in the open space, all with their heads lowered.

Drew stood beside him with a straight posture. Daniel yawned, with a red mark on his face, his eyes narrowed, and his hair messy. It was obvious that he had been forcibly pulled off the bed.

With his hands on the back of his head, Daniel looked at Chris with a gloomy face, "What's going on? What's not to your liking?"

Chris didn't turn around and looked around. "Who on earth told Krolin about me? I know he arranged for you to come here, but I have the final say here! If you can't control your mouth, all of you go back to Krolin!"

"I thought it was something else. How dare they not tell me if Lord Crolin asks? Besides, the Lord cares about you!" Daniel tried to smooth things over and winked at Drew, signaling him to say something as well.

Drew's expression remained unchanged. He was too lazy to say anything and would be scolded together later.

"You all have so much strength? Except for Drew, all the others -" Chris pointed at Daniel, "including you, you have to run around the black market fifty times with a weight on your back, and you are not allowed to use your beast form!"

"I'll have the city guards keep an eye on you!"

Daniel's still unclear mind finally cleared up, "No, what does it have to do with me?"

I ate a lot in the morning, and then I took a nap in the afternoon and it made me suffer. What bad luck!
