Black Myth! Wukong kills gods and Buddhas!

Chapter 15 Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King

Wukong is a stone monkey who came out of the Water Curtain Cave in the Flower and Fruit Mountain. He learned Taoism in Lingtai Fangcun Mountain and gained great supernatural powers. One day, the Heavenly Palace held a banquet and all the immortals came. Wukong was also invited. However, Wukong was arrogant and disrespectful to the gods. He made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, alarming the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor was angry and sent Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, to lead the heavenly soldiers and generals to capture him in the lower world.

When the Heavenly King arrived at the Flower-Fruit Mountain, he saw clouds and mist, and the sound of monkeys crying. Wukong stood on the top of the mountain, holding the golden hoop in his hand, looking directly at the Heavenly King. Seeing this, the Heavenly King shouted, "Monkey Wukong, you dare to go against the will of heaven. I am here to capture you by the order of the Jade Emperor!" Wukong laughed and said, "Old Jade Emperor, you are just an ordinary man, how can you control me? You should leave quickly to avoid disaster!"

The Heavenly King was furious when he heard this, and waved his hand to give orders, and the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals swarmed forward. Wukong flashed and turned into a golden light, shuttling through the enemy camp, dancing his golden hoop like flying, and wherever he passed, the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals fell to the ground. Seeing this, the Heavenly King hurriedly took the pagoda in his hand, chanted a spell, and the pagoda shone brightly and covered Wukong. Wukong stretched out his body and turned into thousands of monkey shadows, avoiding the pagoda, and then merged into one again, laughing and saying: "Heavenly King, this pagoda is just like this, it's not worth mentioning!"

The Heavenly King was furious and took out the magic mirror and shone it at Wukong. The mirror was full of light and Wukong paused, as if he was frozen. However, Wukong had great magical power and broke free in an instant. He smashed the magic mirror to pieces with a backhanded stick. The Heavenly King was horrified and called for Nezha, the Third Prince, to help him.

Nezha holds the Fire Spear in his hand and steps on the Wind Fire Wheel, heading straight for Wukong. Wukong and Nezha fight each other, the Golden Cudgel and the Fire Spear complement each other, and the fight is inextricable. The Heavenly King takes the opportunity to lay a net to trap Wukong. Wukong sees through the trap and shouts loudly, and the Golden Cudgel suddenly grows longer, breaking the net into pieces.

Seeing this, the Heavenly King knew that he could not defeat Wukong, so he came up with a plan. He ordered the Heavenly Soldiers to form a circle and continuously throw magic weapons and hidden weapons at Wukong. Although Wukong had the ability to reach heaven and earth, he could not resist the attacks from all directions. In a short while, Wukong was beaten back again and again, and was in danger.

Just when Wukong was in danger, he suddenly heard a whistle in the air. Wukong looked up and saw a cloud floating over, and the image of Guanyin Bodhisattva appeared in the cloud. The Bodhisattva held a pure bottle and willow in his hand and smiled and said, "Wukong, don't fight anymore. The Jade Emperor is the master of the three realms. You are going against the will of heaven and will not be able to escape the punishment of heaven. It is better for you to practice Buddhism with me and achieve the right result."

Wukong was stunned when he heard this, then he laughed and said, "Bodhisattva, what you said is wrong. Although I am a demon monkey, I know the difference between good and evil. The old Jade Emperor is incompetent and oppresses all living beings. If I don't stand up for all living beings, who will? I have no regrets even if I die today!" After that, Wukong raised his golden cudgel again and rushed towards the Heavenly King and others.

The Heavenly King and his companions were all afraid of Wukong because they saw that he was unstoppable. However, they could not disobey the Jade Emperor's order, so they had to bite the bullet and fight Wukong. For a while, the sky above the Flower-Fruit Mountain was covered with war clouds, thunder and lightning. Wukong and the Heavenly King and his companions fought so hard that the sky was dark and the sun and moon were dim.

Just as the two sides were fighting fiercely, a bell rang from the sky. The sound of the bell was melodious and deep, as if it had the effect of cleansing the soul. Wukong, the king of heaven and others were all shocked and stopped involuntarily. A golden road appeared in the sky, and Taishang Laojun came slowly with a whisk in his hand. Laojun smiled and said, "Wukong, king of heaven, you are all pillars of heaven, why do you have to kill each other? Why don't you follow me to the Tushita Palace to drink tea and discuss Taoism?"

Wukong and the Heavenly King were both stunned when they heard this. Wukong thought to himself, "This Laojun is always mysterious, I wonder what he is up to?" However, Wukong always respected Laojun's boundless magical power, so he put away his golden hoop and said, "Since Laojun invites me, how dare Wukong not obey?" The Heavenly King and others also withdrew their troops and stopped fighting.

So everyone followed Laojun into the Tushita Palace. The palace was filled with smoke, music, and a peaceful scene. Laojun ordered the boy to serve fairy tea and fruits to entertain everyone. Wukong and others tasted it and felt that it was extraordinary and refreshing. Laojun smiled and said, "This tea is made by me and is called 'Calming Tea'. It has the effect of cleansing the mind and purifying the soul. You are all trapped by the demons in your heart, so you have to fight today. I hope you can let go of your obsession and achieve the right result after drinking this tea."

Wukong seemed to understand something after hearing this. He remembered that although he had gone through hardships and his magic power had greatly increased since he was born, he still had an indescribable resentment in his heart. Today's battle with the Heavenly King had aroused this resentment to the extreme. Now after listening to Laojun's words, he realized that he was trapped by the demon in his heart. So he thanked Laojun and said, "Thank you Laojun for your guidance! From now on, Wukong will let go of his obsession and concentrate on practicing Buddhism to benefit the people!"

The Heavenly King and others also thanked Laojun. Laojun smiled and said, "You are all destined to be together. It is fate that we can gather here today. I hope you can work together to protect the peace of heaven in the future!" After saying this, he waved his sleeves and left.

Wukong and the others felt relieved as they watched Laojun leave. They knew that from now on they would no longer be enemies but comrades who would jointly protect the peace of heaven. So they smiled at each other, walked out of the Tushita Palace hand in hand and embarked on a new journey...

Wukong and the Heavenly King left the Tushita Palace and returned to the Flower-Fruit Mountain. Wukong no longer had the anger he once had, but instead had a sense of awe and responsibility for the Heavenly Court. He gathered the monkeys and announced that they would no longer be enemies of the Heavenly Court, but would instead protect the Flower-Fruit Mountain and maintain peace.

The Heavenly King was also impressed by Wukong's transformation and was full of admiration. He knew that Wukong had great magical powers and it would be a great honor for the Heavenly Court to use him. So the Heavenly King asked the Jade Emperor to recommend Wukong as the Heavenly Court's guardian to fight against foreign enemies. The Jade Emperor was hesitant at first, but considering that Wukong had turned over a new leaf and that he was extremely powerful, he finally agreed.

Since then, Wukong has been wearing golden armor, a phoenix-wing purple gold crown, holding a golden cudgel, standing at the gate of Nantian, becoming a beautiful scenery in the heaven. Although he was once a demon, he has justice in his heart, is brave against enemies, loyal to friends, and is deeply respected by the immortals.

However, peace did not last long. Soon, the demonic forces were ready to invade the three realms. The demon king led his demon army and marched straight to the heaven. The Jade Emperor was shocked and urgently summoned all the immortals to discuss countermeasures. Wukong stepped forward and was willing to lead the army to fight the demon king.

Wukong led the heavenly soldiers and generals to fight against the demon king's army outside the Lingxiao Palace. The two sides were evenly matched and the battle was extremely fierce. Wukong held the golden hoop in his hand and moved as fast as lightning, shuttling through the enemy's formation and defeating them all. Seeing this, the demon king personally went into battle to fight Wukong.

The two fought with each other in a shocking battle. Wukong used his 72 transformations to fight the devil with wisdom and courage. But the devil was no ordinary man, his magic power was unfathomable, and he fought Wukong to a standstill. Just when the two sides were fighting to a standstill, Wukong suddenly came up with a plan.

He pretended to retreat and led the devil deep into the heart of heaven. When the devil got carried away, Wukong suddenly turned around and hit the devil's vitals with his golden hoop. The devil was caught off guard and was hit by the golden hoop, seriously injured. Seeing this, the devil army was in chaos and fled.

Wukong took advantage of the victory to pursue and wipe out the remaining demon army. The demon king escaped with injuries, and the demon world was in a state of collapse. The heaven finally returned to its former tranquility and peace.

After the war, the Jade Emperor rewarded his meritorious officials. Wukong was named "Fighting Buddha" for his outstanding achievements and was in charge of the Heavenly Court's War Department. Although he was already a fairy, he still remembered Huaguo Mountain and the monkeys in his heart. So he often went back to Huaguo Mountain to visit his old friends and teach the monkeys to practice martial arts in the hope of inheriting his legacy.

As time went by, Wukong traveled between the Heavenly Palace and the Flower-Fruit Mountain, but he always maintained his original intention and sense of justice. He proved with his actions that even if he was born in a humble family, he could become a hero who protected the Three Realms through hard work and persistence. His story was also widely circulated in the Three Realms, inspiring countless creatures to move forward and pursue their dreams and beliefs.
