Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Chapter 81 The Door of Death

The big black dog was on the stands closest to him, staring at him quietly in the rain.

It seemed... to be silently fulfilling its "ominous" mission.

Harry felt an abnormal chill. He did not call Cedric, because he had caught the Snitch beside him -

There was something conceited about that, and it was very hurtful.

Harry just flew straight towards the podium, trying to forget about the black dog.

......

Anriel naturally saw where the thief belonged, and this time it was Harry who caught the thief right under Diggory's nose... uh, behind the back of his head.

Following Harry's line of sight, Angel also saw the big black dog - Sirius.

He was also very kind and did not interrupt this seemingly terrifying but actually heartwarming scene. When Harry flew around Diggory and headed for the podium, he cleared his throat:

"Sir, the game is over and Mr. Potter is already flying this way."

Dumbledore squinted his eyes for a while, then said with understanding:

"Oh, that's good - Mr. Jordan, the game is over and Mr. Potter has caught the Snitch."

Dumbledore's first sentence was directed to Anriel, and the second sentence was directed to Lee Jordan who was hosting the game.

Anriel gently lowered his head to look at the little angel in his arms...ah, she was sleeping soundly.

The rest of the Gryffindor celebration was nothing interesting. Anriel gently carried Luna back to the castle. He was not interested in the party.

Dumbledore didn't know where he had gone - it seemed that this kind of weather was not very friendly to the elderly.

In England, this kind of rainy weather is quite common, for example, now...

The rain continued on and off for two whole months, and only showed signs of stopping completely before Christmas.

If we ask whether anything special has happened in the past two months from the perspective of the main plot, the answer is no:

It seemed that Sirius had listened to Dumbledore and Andril's "admonitions" and had been staying with Lupin very obediently for the past two months.

Maybe he was planning something, but judging from the facts he showed, he was indeed safe and sound for quite a long time.

But if you look at it from Anriel's perspective, there are a lot of things...

"Huh... This should be the last one."

Anriel exhaled deeply, and the airflow turned out to be a strange gray-black color.

During these two months, he had completely eliminated all the Dementors on duty near the school.

Anriel's speed of "digesting" them is also getting faster and faster.

And the one just now was instantly absorbed by the Resurrection Stone.

When hunting the first Dementor, Anriel knew that when he could digest such a complete horrible creature within a day, he would be able to completely master the ultimate weapon of this horrible magical creature -

That soul-sucking "kiss".

Perhaps this is the first time since the appearance of magical creatures such as Dementors that this magical ability is controlled by a creature of another race.

Anriel's connection to the Resurrection Stone is already very strong.

He decided to give it a try...

Something more taboo.

......

Room of Requirement.

This time, at Anriel's request, the Room of Requirement was turned into a very large empty room.

He was carrying a big bag in his hand, which looked strange and out of place.

What's in the bag?

Anriel took a deep breath, took the Resurrection Stone off his finger and held it in his palm.

He pulled something out of his bag and placed it on the floor in front of him.

He raised his wand and pointed it at the hand holding the Resurrection Stone.

“I am the resurrection and the life…

Your spirit is gone, your flesh is destroyed—

But I have a token to call you, and I will give you a reshaped body filled with blood and flesh.

Those who are resurrected into the world will be taught to believe in me and serve me as Lord, and I will save them from death.

He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.”

(Some quotations are from the Bible)

Anriel didn't know what these eulogies meant... The Resurrection Stone taught him, so he just read them.

But literally speaking, it probably means that I have a medium to summon you, and your soul does not remain in the human world (like a ghost), so I resurrect you.

After resurrection you must serve me as Lord, whether you are willing or not, and then I will grant you immortality.

It's a pretty unfair clause... I guess Cadmus, who invented the resurrection stone, thought the same.

A hazy gray mist overflowed from Anriel's fingers, flowing down slowly like backflowing incense, enveloping the medium of resurrection.

Anriel still knows the principle of gradual progress.

So what is lying on the ground now is not the crown of Ravenclaw.

Instead, it was a small golden locket.

......

Not Slytherin's locket.

That one had been completely destroyed by Anriel's lightning strike.

This is the fake one.

In other words, the owner of this locket is neither Slytherin nor Voldemort.

But RAB.

Regulus Arcturus Black.

......

At the moment when the gray fog completely engulfed the locket, thick gray light gushed out, and a majestic aura of death enveloped the entire room.

Gray fog gushed out like a fire hydrant being pulled out.

Anriel clenched the Resurrection Stone and narrowed his eyes.

A heavy door appeared in the hazy gray fog——

It seems to be the dividing line between reality and the underworld...

The gray mist was lingering and drifting slowly, giving people an unreal feeling, as if the door might disappear into the mist at any time.

The outline of the door is vague, its size and shape are elusive, giving people an illusion of infinite extension. Its material may be ancient stone, the surface is covered with moss and traces of time, it looks ancient and solemn...

But the pattern on the door is clearly discernible:

Skeletons were tightly entangled by rotten thorns and dead vines. The seemingly fragile plants seemed extremely tough, binding the dead firmly inside the door.

The shapes of these plants are distorted and the leaves are dry, giving people a feeling that the vitality has been drained away.

It also seems to be warning those who try to approach... not to disturb the tranquility behind this door easily.

But Anriel didn't create this door for the purpose of appreciating art...

He walked towards the door of death with firm steps.

Then, he raised his hand, grasped the sickle-shaped bolt across the middle of the door, and lifted it up.

The door opened back silently.

The door bolt is usually located inside the door.

This door does not welcome the dead back to the world...

Instead, the living are welcomed into the netherworld.

Outside the door stood a tall, thin, and handsome young man.

He was eighteen years old when he died.
