Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Chapter 85 You kept laughing, you never stopped!

He had nothing more to say to Fudge.

Fudge was stunned for a moment, then drank the remaining rum in his glass in one gulp.

Anriel and Professor McGonagall looked at each other.

The latter's expression was extremely solemn.

Because if what Dumbledore and Anriel had found out was the truth - and it was very likely...

That means...

Professor McGonagall did not dare, nor was she willing to imagine what kind of evil things had happened back then. For a woman like her who had always been kind, it was really too cruel and beyond common sense.

"Alright Minister...if you still want to discuss business with my father before it gets completely dark, you'd better go back to the castle now."

Anriel saw that Fudge had finished the wine in his glass and reminded him.

"Christmas is a day for family reunion, not a workday."

"Ah... I understand, but kid, who is your father..."

Fudge took his top hat and asked Anriel as if he had realized something.

Anriel held his forehead with his hand, and Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick smiled for the first time after discussing such a heavy topic today.

"Well, Mr. Fudge…Dumbledore, Albus Dumbledore is my father."

Fudge's hand holding the hat froze, and the hat rolled to the ground, but he didn't care.

His throat moved as if he wanted to make some sound, but in fact no sound came out.

With a bang, Anriel took the lead and walked out of the three brooms into the heavy snow, just as he had been the first to walk in front when he came.

Then there were the last few pleasantries and the sound of Ms. Rosmuta clearing the table.

After the teachers (including Fudge) left the Three Broomsticks, Harry emerged from under the table and stared blankly at his two best friends.

The three of them looked at each other, not knowing what to say.

The tragic accident twelve years ago...seems to be far from as simple as they imagined.

......

"Ah... welcome, Cornelius."

Dumbledore strode towards the Minister of Magic, his long gray beard flowing at his side.

He shook Fudge's hand vigorously, but Fudge seemed a little absent-minded.

"Oh...ah, Dumbledore, I mean, how are you? I'm glad to see you too...er..."

Fudge's eyes wandered between Anriel and Dumbledore's faces, still with a constipated look on his face.

Dumbledore raised his gray eyebrows:

"What's the matter, Cornelius? You look troubled... and not just about Blake, I suppose?"

"Well, that's it... Never mind, Black's matter is more important, that doesn't matter... Ah, I remember! Dumbledore, there is something very important..."

Fudge shuddered violently, as if he had finally thought of a reasonable official matter to drive away the rumors and speculations about Albus Dumbledore in his mind.

"This matter is very important... These days, the Dementors have been losing contact more and more frequently in Hogwarts and the surrounding areas..."

Fudge looked out the window at the Quidditch pitch worriedly.

Of course, there weren't any Dementors there now -

Dumbledore wouldn't let them in, and Anriel wouldn't let them out.

"It feels as if - I know this is ridiculous - but it feels as if these Dementors are being hunted by a natural enemy that we don't know about..."

Fudge shuddered, and seemed extremely unwilling to believe that there were still beings in the world that fed on horrible magical creatures like Dementors:

"And all signs indicate that if this new organism is not reproducing on its own...

That is, as the appetite grows... that thing is also becoming more powerful..."

Dumbledore coughed dryly, and responded in a voice that at least sounded serious to Fudge:

"Really? Then I have to be careful - maybe they will threaten the safety of the children..."

Anriel was listening to a conversation between two people who were completely on different wavelengths.

His eyes met those clear blue eyes briefly in the air, then Dumbledore blinked, and Anriel tried hard to suppress his laughter.

"So Connelly, if there's nothing else... can I wish you a happy Christmas break?"

"Uh... okay... but Sirius Black... forget it. With so many Dementors missing, it's obviously unwise to continue searching..."

Fudge seemed to have convinced himself:

"Maybe I'll need to transfer some Aurors... Anyway, goodbye, Albus..."

Fudge took the top hat from Anriel and put it on his head. Then he took another deep look at the "father and son", opened the door and left.

With a bang, the door closed.

The old man and the young man left in the room looked at each other and burst into laughter.

The door was opened.

Fudge looked into the room with a puzzled look on his face.

"Mr. Fudge, do you have anything to add?"

Anriel asked with a normal expression and raised his eyebrows. Dumbledore also looked at Fudge.

"Um……"

Fudge frowned and turned around.

With a bang, the door closed.

“Hahahaha↗hahaha↘?↗”

Loud laughter.mp3, slapping the table.gif

The door opened again.

"Mr. Fudge?"

Anriel asked.

Fudge's face darkened, and he swore that this was the last time he would open this damn door.

Fudge stared expressionlessly at the two faces in the room that didn't smile at all, then turned and left, closing the door behind him.

"boom!"

The two mean guys had laughed enough, and Dumbledore wiped the tears from his eyes.

He hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. It seemed that a vitality that had disappeared decades ago had returned to his old body.

"Anriel, what about those Dementors? I mean do they give you diarrhea?"

He asked Anriel in a joking tone.

"I don't know, probably not."

Anriel shrugged:

“Alas… I didn’t expect to hide it from you, sir… Those things don’t taste very good, but the effect is obvious.

If I hadn't considered that I hadn't yet fully understood the secret of resurrection, I would have succeeded by now."

Dumbledore was stunned for half a second:

"Success what, kid?"

Anriel was also stunned.

He realized belatedly that he had only told Dumbledore about the suppressive effect of the Resurrection Stone on Dementors...

Whether he was about to master the Resurrection Stone or seize the Dementors' power to absorb souls, he did not tell Dumbledore about these two things.

Dumbledore is not omniscient.

He had no idea that Anriel could take away the power of Dementors, nor did he understand the structure and power of the Resurrection Stone.

In other words, he just speculated based on various clues that the disappearance of these Dementors was caused by Anriel.

And Anriel must have his own reasons for doing this.
