American comics: A salted fish becomes a saint by hanging up

Chapter 288: A hint of teasing in the eyes

"This is just the beginning," Tony Stark said, with wisdom in his eyes. "There are still many challenges waiting for us in the future."

"We will always be by your side." Lin Nan said firmly, clenching his fists.

Natasha also smiled and nodded, "No matter how many difficulties we face, we will face them together."

After Lin Nan and Natasha escaped from the collapsed laboratory, they just took a few breaths and heard a low roar from afar. The sound seemed to shake the entire earth, and there was an uneasy atmosphere in the air.

"We can't stay here for long," Natasha said, looking around warily.

Lin Nan nodded, and the two continued running along the path in the ruins. Although shutting down the experimental device just now solved the root of the problem, they knew that the fluctuations in the timeline had not yet completely stabilized, and future dangers still existed.

"There is a river ahead. We can use the water flow to speed up." Lin Nan said, pointing to a river not far ahead.

Natasha nodded, and the two quickly ran to the river. The river was turbulent, but this was their only chance to escape. The two jumped into the river without hesitation, and used the power of the current to quickly drift downstream.

The river water was freezing cold, but Lin Nan and Natasha still held hands tightly and supported each other. They knew that they had to unite at this moment to survive in this future world full of crises.

The river carried them along for about ten minutes, and suddenly a waterfall appeared in front of them. The water flow became more turbulent, and the huge sound of water was deafening.

"We have to be careful, there may be an undercurrent behind the waterfall!" Natasha warned loudly.

The two tried to keep their balance and control the direction of their bodies. When they rushed over the waterfall, they found a deep pool below. Although the water flow was still strong, the water depth of the deep pool was enough to keep them safe temporarily.

"We must leave here as soon as possible." Lin Nan said, looking at the surrounding environment and found that it was still a desolate ruin.

They climbed up the shore, took a breath, and then continued to run forward. Suddenly, there was a flash of lightning in front of them, followed by a huge explosion, and the ground shook violently.

"What happened?" Lin Nan asked in surprise.

"It may be an energy explosion caused by the fluctuation of the timeline." Natasha frowned and said, "We must find a safe place as soon as possible."

They continued to move forward and came to an abandoned city. This was once a prosperous city, but now only ruins remained. The surroundings were terribly quiet, as if even the air had frozen.

"We can take a break here for a while," Natasha said, pointing to a relatively intact building.

The two walked into the building and found some well-preserved supplies inside. They quickly found some food and water to replenish their energy.

"We must find a safe place and wait until the timeline is completely stable." Lin Nan said while eating dry food.

Natasha nodded, frowning slightly, "But every corner of this world is full of unknown dangers. We can't take it lightly."

Just as they were about to move forward, they suddenly heard footsteps coming from downstairs. The two immediately became alert and quickly hid in a corner.

The footsteps were getting closer, accompanied by a low roar. Lin Nan saw through the crack in the door that a huge monster was wandering downstairs, emitting dark energy.

"It's those monsters." Lin Nan said in a low voice, with a hint of nervousness in his eyes.

Natasha observed calmly and whispered, "We can't fight them head-on. We must find a safe exit."

They tiptoed to the window on the other side and found an alley outside. They quickly climbed out of the window and walked quietly along the alley.

The alley was winding and deep, and the buildings on both sides were tall and gloomy. Lin Nan and Natasha held their breath and tried not to make any noise. They knew that if they were not careful, they might attract the monster's pursuit.

Suddenly, a beam of light appeared in front of them, illuminating the end of the alley. Lin Nan and Natasha quickened their pace and took a closer look, only to find that it was a space-time rift that led to an unknown space.

"This may be our chance." Lin Nan said, with hope flashing in his eyes.

"We must hurry and get through before the crack closes." Natasha said firmly.

The two stepped into the space-time crack without hesitation, and were instantly pulled in by a strong suction force. The light surrounded them again, and they felt their bodies spinning and pulling violently.

When the light faded, Lin Nan and Natasha found themselves standing in a strange land, a desolate and mysterious land surrounded by continuous mountains and bottomless canyons.

"Where are we now?" Lin Nan asked puzzledly.

Natasha looked around with a serious look, "It seems that we are not completely out of the fluctuation of the timeline."

"We must find a safe place to ensure that the time controller can be recalibrated." Lin Nan said, checking the time controller and found that the indicator light on it was still flashing.

They continued to move forward along the mountain range, and suddenly heard a roar in the distance. Lin Nan and Natasha quickly hid behind a boulder and observed the surrounding movements.

Not far away, a group of monsters were wandering in the valley. They were huge, with red light flashing in their eyes, and were obviously controlled by some dark power.

Suddenly, Natasha looked at Lin Nan with a hint of teasing in her eyes, "Are you sure that the connector of this billboard can charge the time controller?"

Lin Nan smiled slightly, his eyes sparkling with intelligence. "Of course, this billboard uses advanced energy transmission technology, and in theory it can charge our devices."

Natasha frowned. She knew that Lin Nan would sometimes say something half-joking, but she also knew his wisdom and wit. After all, the cooperation during this period made her believe in Lin Nan's ability in technology and science.

"Okay, let's give it a try." Natasha smiled. She didn't completely believe it, but she didn't rule out all possibilities.

Lin Nan walked towards the billboard and carefully observed the structure of the connector. Billboards of this type of technology company usually use the latest energy transfer technology. Although it is not designed to charge the time controller, it is theoretically possible.

He turned on the charging port of the time controller and carefully connected it to a hidden port on the billboard. Then, some lights on the billboard flickered slightly, as if there was some reaction.

"It seems to be working." Lin Nan frowned and continued to adjust the position of the connector.
