Douluo Continent: Dragon Shadow Rebirth

Chapter 137 Return to the Cave

The next day, Qin Feng, Su Wan'er, Ming Yan and Lie Feng set out on the road to the cave again. They all understood that only by solving the secret behind the stone door could they completely uncover the truth of this forest.

"Are you really determined to go back?" The village chief looked a little worried after learning about their plan. "That cave is too dangerous."

"We are ready." Qin Feng said firmly, "We will be more careful this time."

The village chief sighed: "In that case, I hope you have a smooth journey and return safely soon."

After saying goodbye to the villagers, they re-entered the mysterious forest. Along the way, Liefeng couldn't help but sigh: "I never thought that we would return to that cave."

"Yeah, I almost lost my life before, and now I have to go again." Ming Yan shook his head, but there was still a helpless smile on his face.

Su Wan'er said calmly: "Some mysteries must be solved personally, otherwise we will never feel at ease."

Qin Feng nodded, and his belief became more firm.

They moved forward carefully and finally came to the lake again. The lake was still calm, as if nothing had happened.

"It seems that the cave at the bottom of the lake is still there." Mingyan said, "We must be more careful this time."

They dived to the bottom of the lake again and successfully entered the cave. To their surprise, the cave did not collapse as they imagined, but seemed more stable.

"This place seems to be different." Liefeng whispered, "I don't know if it's our illusion, or if this place has some kind of strange power."

Qin Feng didn't say anything, but focused on observing everything around him. They came to the ancient stone gate again, and the symbol on the stone gate was still flashing a faint light.

"We have to find a way to open it." Su Wan'er said, with a hint of nervousness in her tone.

Mingyan took out some tools from his backpack and prepared to try to crack the mechanism of the stone door.

"Do you think there is a treasure behind this stone door?" Liefeng suddenly became interested, his eyes sparkling.

"Maybe, or maybe it's some kind of seal." Qin Feng said, "Whatever it is, we must be careful."

Just as Ming Yan was trying to crack the mechanism, the stone door suddenly vibrated slightly, and then a ray of golden light appeared from the gap in the door.

"It's done!" Ming Yan shouted excitedly, "We can open it!"

They pushed open the stone door together. Behind the door was a narrow passage, at the end of which some light could be vaguely seen.

"Let's go in and take a look." Qin Feng said, leading the way into the passage.

The walls on both sides of the passage were engraved with various strange symbols, as if telling some ancient legend. As they went deeper, the light became stronger and stronger, and finally, they came to a spacious underground hall.

In the center of the hall stands a huge golden statue with two sparkling gems inlaid in its eyes. The whole hall looks magnificent under the illumination of the statue.

"This...this is too spectacular!" Liefeng stared at the scene in front of him in amazement.

Su Wan'er couldn't help but admire: "These statues and gems are just like treasures from mythology."

However, Qin Feng was not confused by the scene before him. He keenly perceived that there seemed to be some danger hidden around the statue.

"Everyone be careful, there may be a trap here." Qin Feng reminded.

Mingyan nodded and walked towards the statue cautiously, ready to observe further.

At this moment, the statue's eyes suddenly flickered, and then the ground began to shake, as if something was triggered.

"Not good, retreat quickly!" Qin Feng shouted hurriedly.

However, they were still a step too slow. The ground suddenly cracked and a powerful suction force surged out from the crack, as if to suck them in.

"Hold on to me!" Qin Feng grabbed Su Wan'er, and Liefeng and Mingyan also hurriedly grabbed the surrounding stone pillars, desperately resisting the suction.

"What's going on?" Su Wan'er exclaimed, her face a little pale.

"This should be some kind of mechanism!" Qin Feng gritted his teeth and said, "We must find a way to shut it down!"

As they were trying to resist the suction, Ming Yan suddenly noticed a secret mechanism at the base of the statue. He pressed the mechanism with all his strength, and in an instant, the suction disappeared and the ground returned to calm.

"Huh...it finally stopped." Liefeng breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed to the ground.

Qin Feng and Su Wan'er also leaned against the stone pillar with tired faces. At that moment, they almost thought they were going to die here.

"It seems that this place is far more dangerous than we thought." Qin Feng said in a deep voice, "We must be more cautious."

"Yes, we should be careful next time." Su Wan'er nodded.

After they recovered for a while, they decided to continue exploring the hall. Behind the statue, they found a hidden door.

"This may be the key to the truth." Qin Feng said, "We must go in and take a look."

Liefeng joked: "I hope there won't be any traps this time. I don't want to be scared again."

Everyone smiled, and with a hint of nervousness and anticipation, pushed open the hidden door.
