Douluo Continent: Dragon Shadow Rebirth

Chapter 322 Mysterious Mission Scroll

After experiencing a fantastic adventure in the town market, Qin Feng and his companions returned to the Soul Master Academy. They originally thought that they could finally rest peacefully on this day, but fate always seemed to like to give them some unexpected surprises.

As soon as he returned to the dormitory, Qin Feng saw an ancient scroll on the table. The scroll looked quite old, and the edges of the paper had turned slightly yellow.

"What is this? Who put it here?" Qin Feng frowned as he looked at the scroll. He didn't remember having such a thing in their dormitory.

"Maybe it's a new task assigned to us by the vice president?" Zhang Meng grinned and said, "There are always new tricks every time. It won't be a new test, right?"

Ye Li walked over and carefully picked up the scroll. "There are words on it. It seems to be an ancient language. I seem to have seen it in an ancient book."

"It's Dragon Language." Chu Tian came over and took a look. "I've seen this kind of writing in the library. This kind of scroll is usually used by ancient dragons to convey important information."

Qin Feng nodded, took the scroll, and carefully unfolded it. As expected, the scroll was densely written with dragon language. Although he had studied dragon language a little, these words were complicated and difficult to understand.

"We need to find someone to help decipher these words." Qin Feng said, "There may be some secrets or instructions hidden in them."

"Why don't we go find Teacher Ling Yun? He's very knowledgeable about dragon language." Ye Li suggested.

"Good idea, let's go." Qin Feng nodded, and left the dormitory with his friends and headed straight for Teacher Ling Yun's residence.

They came to Master Lingyun's residence and explained their purpose. Master Lingyun glanced at the scroll and frowned slightly, "This is a very ancient dragon scroll, which records a long-lost mission. Let me see if I can decipher it."

Instructor Ling Yun carefully read the dragon language on the scroll. After a while, he looked up with a look of disbelief on his face. "It seems that you have been chosen to carry out a very special mission."

"What mission?" Zhang Meng asked curiously.

"This is one of the dragon clan's inheritance tasks. It requires completing a series of challenges in the dragon clan's sacred land." Ling Yun explained, "Legend has it that only those who pass the challenges can gain the power of the dragon clan."

"The power of the dragon clan? That sounds great!" Chu Tian said excitedly, "When do we set off?"

"Don't worry, this is not an ordinary mission." Instructor Ling Yun waved his hand, "The challenge is very dangerous and full of unpredictable factors. You must be fully prepared."

"We are ready!" Qin Feng said firmly, "No matter how dangerous it is, we will face it."

Instructor Ling Yun nodded, "Okay, now that you have decided, follow me. I know how to open the portal to the Dragon Tribe Holy Land."

Under the guidance of Instructor Ling Yun, Qin Feng and his companions came to a secret place deep in the academy. Here was an ancient stone platform with complicated runes carved all around it, which looked very mysterious.

"Is this the portal?" Zhang Meng stared at the stone platform with wide eyes. "It doesn't look anything special."

"This is an ancient teleportation array that can only lead to a specific location." Instructor Lingyun explained, "I need to use a dragon language spell to activate it. Are you ready?"

"Ready!" everyone answered in unison.

Teacher Ling Yun began to chant the dragon language spell, and the runes on the stone platform gradually lit up, emitting a soft light. As the spell was chanted, the light became stronger and stronger, and a rotating vortex appeared in the center of the stone platform.

"Let's go. Remember, you must be careful." Instructor Ling Yun warned.

Qin Feng nodded, took the lead and walked into the vortex, and the others followed closely. In an instant, they felt a strong suction force, the scene in front of them quickly blurred, and then they felt as if they had entered another world.

When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves standing on a vast grassland. The sky over the grassland was as blue as a mirror, and the air was filled with a strong spiritual energy, which made people feel indescribably comfortable.

"Is this the sacred place of the dragon clan?" Ye Li looked around. "It doesn't look as dangerous as we thought."

"Don't let your guard down." Qin Feng reminded everyone, "We don't know what kind of challenges we will encounter."

As soon as he finished speaking, a huge pillar of light suddenly appeared in the center of the grassland. A huge dragon-shaped statue emerged from the pillar of light, and the statue's eyes flashed red light.

"Welcome to the first level of the Dragon Tribe Holy Land." The statue spoke in a deep and majestic voice, "You need to pass the test of wisdom before you can move on."

"A test of wisdom?" Chu Tian muttered, "I thought we were going to fight a dragon."

"This is just the first level. There may be more challenges waiting for us." Qin Feng replied.

The statue's eyes lit up again, and a complex set of runes and patterns appeared on the ground, looking like a puzzle.

"Solve this puzzle and you will pass the first level," said the statue.

Qin Feng carefully observed the runes on the ground and found that there seemed to be some connection between these runes, but he couldn't figure it out for a while.

"These runes look like some kind of math problem." Ye Li said, "We have to find the pattern."

"Look at this. The order in which these runes are arranged is like an addition operation." Zhang Meng pointed to one group of runes. "If we add up these numbers, the result should be the answer."

Everyone nodded and began to calculate according to Zhang Meng's speculation. Sure enough, the answer came out soon. Qin Feng input the answer into the rune on the ground, and the statue's eyes instantly became brighter.

"You have passed the first level," the statue said, with a hint of appreciation in its voice, "Get ready for the next level."

The runes on the ground disappeared, and a gust of wind suddenly blew over the grassland. Then, the scene in front of them changed again. This time, they appeared in a lush forest. There were birds singing and flowers blooming in the forest, and there seemed to be no danger.

"It doesn't look like there is any challenge." Chu Tian walked in front, looking around.

However, just as they walked deeper into the forest, suddenly several little dragons jumped out from the bushes. These little dragons looked very cute, small in size, and covered with colorful scales.

"These little dragons don't seem to be dangerous." Zhang Meng smiled and reached out to touch the head of a little dragon.

But just as he touched the little dragon, the little dragon suddenly opened its mouth and blew out a stream of purple smoke. The smoke instantly filled the entire forest, and everyone was choked and coughed.

"What's going on?" Qin Feng covered his mouth. "These little guys can actually spray poison gas?"

“It’s not just poison gas, it’s laughing gas!” Chu Tian pointed at Zhang Meng and couldn’t help laughing, because Zhang Meng’s face turned purple and his eyes became bulging, looking very funny.

"Ah! What happened? Why did my face become like this?" Zhang Meng was so anxious that he was turning around, but the laughter around him made him even more flustered.

"We have to find the antidote quickly." Ye Li suppressed her laughter, "It seems like these little dragons just want to play a joke on us."

"This is a bit of a joke." Qin Feng shook his head helplessly, "Let's split up and look for it. Maybe there are clues to the antidote."

They searched around in the forest, trying to find clues to the antidote. Suddenly, Chu Tian found a strange tree full of purple fruits.

"This tree looks a little different. Maybe the fruit can detoxify." Chu Tian climbed up the tree and picked a few fruits.

"I can't take it anymore, I'm dying of laughter!" Zhang Meng covered his stomach, "Give me something to eat!"

Chu Tian handed Zhang Meng a fruit, and Zhang Meng swallowed it. Sure enough, after a few seconds, his complexion slowly returned to normal.

"It seems the fruit is effective." Qin Feng breathed a sigh of relief, "Everyone should eat some to prevent inhaling laughing gas again."

Everyone picked some fruits and ate a few, and they all felt much better. When the little dragons saw that they were fine, they smiled and flapped their wings and flew away.

"These little guys are really naughty." Ye Li smiled, "But we passed the second level."

Qin Feng patted Zhang Meng's shoulder, "How do you feel now? Are you okay?"

"I...I'm fine." Zhang Meng took a breath, "But I don't want to laugh so hard anymore."

"Then let's continue, the next level should be more interesting." Qin Feng cheered up and led everyone forward.

As soon as they walked out of the forest, they saw a long cliff in front of them. At the other end of the cliff, they could vaguely see a huge stone door, and in front of the stone door stood a giant dragon, staring at them.

"It seems that this is the guardian of the third level." Ye Li said, "We have to find a way to get through."

"Let's go. No matter how many challenges lie ahead, we must keep moving forward." Qin Feng said firmly.

With the laughter and full of fighting spirit of their companions, they walked towards the dragon and the stone gate, ready to meet new challenges. Although each level is full of unexpected situations, they know that as long as they work together, nothing can be overcome.
