Douluo Continent: Dragon Shadow Rebirth

Chapter 484: Secret Realm Exploration - Follow the Map to Get Out of the Maze

After the disturbance caused by the Dragon Shadow Sword strike in the previous chapter subsided, Qin Feng and his companions decided to temporarily put aside their training and go to a legendary secret realm for adventure. It was said that this secret realm contained mysterious ancient treasures and peerless martial arts skills. It had been circulated in the Soul Master Academy for many years, but no one had ever been able to successfully find it. It sounded very tempting, so several people were naturally eager to try.

The group embarked on an adventure into the secret realm with full of excitement and all kinds of snacks and equipment.

"Hold the secret map carefully and don't lose it!" Zhang Meng said excitedly, carrying his giant rock bear on his shoulders, "I feel that we will definitely find the treasure this time!"

Qin Feng looked at the map in his hand and frowned, "Is this crappy map accurate? It looks like it was hand-drawn, and it's the kind without a scale..."

"It doesn't matter whether it's accurate or not, the key is the adventure process!" Chu Tian said with a smile, his face full of confidence, "Don't worry, there are many treasures in the secret realm, the key is to see who has better luck."

Ye Li walked at the back of the team with a calm expression, the Frost Fox followed at her feet, its furry tail sweeping the air from time to time, as if it was somewhat uninterested in this adventure.

The group finally found the entrance to the secret place. It was a dark cave with strange vines covering the entrance, as if no one had been there for a long time.

“What a mysterious feeling…” Wang Yue’s Bright Deer walked past him, and its tail gently swept across the vines, making a slight rustling sound.

"Let's go. Everyone get ready. There may be various mechanisms and traps after entering the secret realm." Qin Feng held the Dragon Shadow Sword in his hand with a serious expression.

They walked into the cave, a cool breeze blowing in their faces, the air was filled with a damp smell. Not long after they walked, they saw a fork in the road ahead - four roads, each of which looked like part of a maze.

"What should we do now?" Ye Li pointed at four roads with her fingers, "These roads are not marked on the map."

Qin Feng looked at the map, and sure enough, there was only an arrow pointing to the gate of the secret realm. As for how to get behind the gate, it all depended on luck.

"This is too tricky!" Qin Feng patted his forehead, "I knew I shouldn't count on this crappy map!"

"Look at me!" Chu Tianxing walked forward and pointed to one of the roads, saying, "There is a saying that the road on the left often leads to the right direction. Let's just turn left!"

Everyone looked at each other. Even though it wasn't very reliable, they had no choice but to give it a try.

They chose the left path, but they ran into trouble after only a few steps. Suddenly, a glittering floor appeared in front of them, and each floor tile had a soul beast pattern painted on it.

"What is this? What will happen if I step on it wrongly?" Zhang Meng asked with a frown. The giant rock bear walked cautiously behind, obviously not used to this environment.

"If you step on the wrong place, there must be a trap." Ye Li said, and her frost fox began to sniff the floor tiles, as if trying to find a pattern.

"Let me try." Qin Feng drew out the Dragon Shadow Sword, walked to the first floor tile, and prepared to take a step forward.

At this moment, Chu Tian suddenly jumped out and said loudly: "Don't worry, I'll go first! I think I'm lucky, there will be no problem taking the first step!"

Chu Tian said this as he confidently stepped towards a floor tile with a picture of a storm wolf. After all, this was his martial spirit, and he felt that this should be a good sign.

As a result, the next second - there was a loud "boom", the floor tiles suddenly sank, and Chu Tian immediately fell into a deep pit and disappeared without a trace.

Everyone looked stunned.

“Chu Tian?!” Qin Feng’s eyes widened, and he immediately walked to the edge of the pit and looked down. He only heard Chu Tian’s voice coming from the bottom of the pit: “I’m fine! There’s a slide below, which is quite fun! Hahaha!”

"He can still laugh..." Ye Li shook her head helplessly, "What an optimistic guy."

"Let's be careful." Qin Feng sighed, then changed a floor tile and stepped on it steadily. Sure enough, there was no trap. This time he pointed forward with the Dragon Shadow Sword: "Everyone follow me, and it will be fine if you step on the tiles I walk on."

They carefully passed the tiled area and continued to go deeper into the maze. There was another stone door in front of them, with various complex runes carved on it, as if they needed to solve some kind of puzzle to open it.

"What kind of weird mechanism is this time?" Zhang Meng sighed helplessly and patted the giant rock bear's head.

"This is easy." Qin Feng walked to the stone door, carefully observed the runes, and then pondered for a while, "These runes seem to represent different elements. I think as long as I find the right order, I can open the door."

"Why don't you give it a try?" Ye Li suggested calmly.

Qin Feng nodded, then reached out and pressed a few runes one by one. With a "click", the stone door slowly rose, revealing a path leading deeper into the cave.

"I succeeded this time!" Qin Feng said excitedly, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

They continued forward and finally came to the center of the maze. A huge stone hall appeared before them. In the center of the hall was an ancient altar, and on the altar was a treasure that looked glittering.

"This is the legendary secret treasure!" Zhang Meng said excitedly.

"Wait! How could there be no guardian in such a place?" Qin Feng looked around vigilantly. As expected, as they approached, the ground next to the altar suddenly cracked, and a huge stone statue slowly rose up.

It was a huge stone dragon statue, its eyes flashing red, obviously guarding the treasure.

“Sure enough, it’s here!” Chu Tian finally climbed up after sliding around at the back. Seeing this scene, he was happy again, “It looks like a good show is about to begin!”

Qin Feng gripped the Dragon Shadow Sword tightly and said seriously: "Everyone get ready, we have to work together to defeat this stone dragon."

However, just as they were preparing for a battle, something unexpected happened. The stone dragon statue just moved its neck, and then... lay back down, as if it didn't bother to pay attention to them at all.

Everyone looked stunned; no one expected the guardian to "go on strike".

"This... is it tired too?" Zhang Meng scratched his head. "Isn't this too unprofessional?"

"It seems that the secret realm not only has mechanisms and traps, but even the guardians are a bit... lazy like us." Chu Tian covered his stomach and laughed so hard that he couldn't straighten his back.

Qin Feng shook his head helplessly: "Okay, then let's take the treasure quickly and go back to study it carefully."

So they easily took the glittering treasure from the altar - a mysterious amulet. Although it was not clear what exactly it did, it was obviously an extraordinary thing.

Just like that, after a "difficult" adventure through mazes, mechanisms and "lazy" guardians, Qin Feng and his companions returned home with a full load and ended this pleasant adventure with laughter.
