With the complete collapse of the Dark Altar, Qin Feng and his team finally completed the last battle in the maze. They stood in the empty underground hall, and although they were exhausted, the joy of victory made everyone smile.

"Well, this time we finally killed the big boss." Zhang Meng raised the giant axe high, his face full of excitement, "I told you, when I, Zhang Meng, take action, everything will be fine!"

"It's right that you took action, but if it weren't for us, you would have been entangled by the dark tentacles long ago." Ye Li retorted with a smile, "Don't forget who helped you cut it off."

"Hey, that's called teamwork." Zhang Meng scratched his head. "Anyway, we won in the end, right?"

"We have won, but we cannot let our guard down." Qin Feng said as he put away his staff, "We must return to the palace, report the situation to the king, and make sure there are no remaining dark forces in other parts of the capital."

"That's right." Li Xiao nodded, his expression still calm. "Although we destroyed the altar, no one can guarantee whether there are similar facilities in other places."

"That means we still have to keep working." Chu Tian sighed, "I thought I could finally take a break."

"That depends on your performance next time." Ye Li said jokingly, "You did well this time, maybe the next mission will be easier."

"Okay, everyone, stop chatting." Qin Feng called everyone, "Let's go back first, there's nothing worth staying here for."

"Let's go, I'm starving!" Zhang Meng said as he touched his stomach, "I fought hard today, I must have a big meal when I get back!"

The team packed up their gear and set out on the road back to the surface. Although their steps were a little tired, everyone was excited by the victory.

"Don't think too much." Li Xiao said coldly, "A good meal in the palace is enough for you."

Just as they were happily discussing their plans for the return trip, a low rumble suddenly came from the passage. The entire maze began to vibrate slightly, and the runes on the wall began to flicker again.

"What's going on?" Chu Tian immediately became alert, "Didn't we destroy the core?"

Qin Feng frowned and quickly checked the changes in the runes. "Something is wrong. The energy fluctuations of these runes are not right. It seems that they are responding to some new power."

"Calm down, we have to find out the source of the problem first." Li Xiao reminded.

As the vibration intensified, they suddenly felt the ground beneath their feet begin to split, and a huge pit appeared in front of them, revealing a deeper underground space. A huge vortex formed in the pit, and black energy continued to surge out from the depths, as if it wanted to swallow up the entire maze.

"It seems that this is the altar's self-destruction mechanism." Qin Feng's face was solemn, "The dark forces tried to destroy everything at the last moment."

"Then we have to run!" Zhang Meng shouted, pulling up the giant axe, "I don't want to be swallowed by the dark vortex."

"Hurry up!" Qin Feng rushed to the exit first, "We must leave here before the vortex expands."

Several people ran quickly, the passageway under their feet kept collapsing, the runes on the stone wall seemed to be in a frenzy, and the flashing light became more and more dazzling. Everyone ran as hard as they could, trying to escape the maze before the vortex swallowed the passageway.

"Hurry up, faster!" Ye Li's voice came from behind, "We are not far from the exit!"

"I've tried my best!" Zhang Meng panted, but still rushed forward.

Finally, the exit ahead appeared, and the night sky outside was clearly visible. However, just as they were about to rush out of the maze, the ground suddenly shook violently, and the top of the entire passage began to collapse.

“Damn it!” Chu Tian released a barrier to block the collapsing rocks. “Go, I can’t hold on for much longer!”

Qin Feng took the lead and rushed out of the passage, followed by Ye Li and Li Xiao. Zhang Meng was the last one to jump out of the exit and successfully escaped from the danger zone before Chu Tian's barrier disappeared.

Several people rolled down to the open space outside, gasping for breath, with the collapsed underground maze behind them and dust flying everywhere. Finally safe, everyone couldn't help but laugh.

"Oh, this was a close call!" Zhang Meng lay on the ground, panting and laughing, "But luckily, we all survived!"

"Yes, this maze is indeed not simple." Ye Li looked at Qin Feng with a smile, "Fortunately, you are in charge, otherwise we really don't know how to escape."
