From this, it can be inferred that the battle between Hanzo of the Salamander and Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru took place in the 36th year of the Hidden Mist, which is the time point that is being written now.

Therefore, the time of awakening of the Rinnegan should be earlier. The Rinnegan was awakened during the war between Konoha and Amegakure, so it is speculated that it is most likely in the 35th year of Kirigakure.
