Learn magic in Harry Potter

Chapter 15 Transfiguration Lesson

Ron glanced at the door number and pulled Harry into the room.

"What a big room, what a big bed." Ron, who came in with them, exclaimed and was about to jump onto the bed.

Harry pulled Ron back and said nervously, "Wait a minute, we don't know which bed is ours yet, don't make a mistake."

Light had already walked around the room and said to Harry and Ron, "There's a little sign next to the bed with the name on it."

Harry heard this and let go of Ron's hand. Ron, who was free from restraints, quickly found his own bed and lay down on it.

Ron let out a comfortable cry, as Harry and Wright also lay down on their beds.

Ron suddenly stood up and sat up, and started to complain about Malfoy: "I knew that guy was bragging, I really thought there would be a dragon!"

"Me too, but how did Wright know that there would be no dragon in the Sorting Ceremony?" Harry echoed Ron and raised a question at the same time.

"In Diagon Alley. After I went there with Hagrid, I went there again by myself. Then I accidentally heard someone talking about it, and I wrote it down." Wright said casually.

"I can't possibly say I saw it with my own eyes!" Wright muttered to himself.

While the three were still chatting, they were interrupted by the sound of a door being pushed open and a self-introduction. "Hello, I'm Neville Longbottom, and I live in this dormitory."

"My name is 'Seamus Finnigan'" Two slightly nervous voices echoed in the dormitory.

Light turned his head and saw Neville entering the room with a child.

"Neville," Ron and Harry were very surprised to see Neville getting up on the trampoline, and walked towards Neville and Seamus.

"Harry, Ron and Wright, I didn't expect to be in the same dormitory with you." Neville also greeted Harry and Ron with great surprise.

Just as Harry and the other two were reminiscing about the past, Wright slowly walked over.

He said to Seamus, who was standing at the door a little at a loss, "Hello, Seamus. 'Wright Rags'. Just call me Wright. Do you mind if I call you Seamus?"

"No, it's okay, just call me Seamus." Seamus stammered. After Harry and Ron finished reminiscing about the past, they introduced themselves to each other.

Light greeted Neville and led them to his bed.

With Harry's yawn, the chatter in the room became less and less, until only the sound of breathing remained.

"I've encountered too many things today. But, Hogwarts, here I come." Lying on the bed, Wright fell into a deep sleep with long thoughts.

……

"Where is this place?" Wright, who had just woken up, was still a little confused.

"Wright, you're awake. I was going to call you after I finished washing up." Neville came out of the bathroom and said to Wright, who was sitting on the bed in a daze.

"Yeah, I'm awake. Where's Seamus?" Wright rubbed his eyes and looked at Harry and Ron who were still sleeping soundly.

"He's in the bathroom, come and wash up! Don't be late."

"Okay, let's go now." After waking up Harry and Ron, Wright started to wash up.

"It's still early, why don't we go have breakfast?" Ron suggested after he finished washing up.

"Forget it, let's go to the classroom first. Today is the first day and the first class, and I don't want to be late." Wright remembered Harry and Ron who were late in the original plot.

"Okay!" Ron agreed with Wright reluctantly.

Wright and his classmates picked up their textbooks and walked towards the classroom.

"By the way, do you know where the classroom is?" Wright asked and the five people looked at each other.

After asking for directions, the stairs disappeared, and they almost lost Neville, the four Wrights finally entered the classroom before class at the last minute.

"It seems we are not too late. The professor has not arrived yet." Harry looked at the podium without a teacher and said to Wright and his group.

"I'm sure those stairs were intentional. They disappeared so many times that Neville was almost lost," Ron said angrily.

"Fortunately I'm not late." Neville looked like he was about to cry.

"Let's find a seat first! Don't let us get scared later." Wright looked at the podium which was empty but had a cat on it and said to Harry and the others in an ambiguous way.

Harry and the others were confused, but they still found their seats and sat down.

After everyone was seated, the tabby cat standing on the podium suddenly jumped forward and transformed in the air. In the blink of an eye, he turned into Professor McGonagall, who led the young wizards in the sorting ceremony yesterday.

"Before class, I want to remind you. Transfiguration is the most difficult and dangerous magic to learn in Hogwarts. If anyone makes trouble in my class, leave my classroom immediately."

Professor McGonagall waved her wand and the podium beside her turned into a pig, and then changed back again.

Professor McGonagall showed off this skill, which immediately aroused the students' admiration and desire.

Wright watched the entire casting process closely.

"Quickly, effortlessly, without any unnecessary movements."

"With a wave of his hand, he transformed a lifeless wooden podium into a living being, just like a creator, changing matter and giving it consciousness. How far do I have to go before I can reach this level?"

At this moment, Wright was completely captured by the mystery and power of magic.

Professor McGonagall waved her hand to suppress the exclamations of the young wizards and began to talk about the origin of Transfiguration and the casting spell.

After explaining the Transfiguration spell, Professor McGonagall distributed a match to all students.

"Turn the matches I gave you into silver needles, and start practicing now! I will guide you." Professor McGonagall said seriously.

Wright kept waving his wand and casting spells on the matches in front of him, but he didn't look as comfortable as he did when casting white magic.

"Mr. Wright Rags, you can't cast the spell mechanically. You need to concentrate and imagine the shape of the silver needle in your mind first, and then cast the spell."

"And you, Mr. Ron Weasley..."

Professor McGonagall gave strict guidance to the young wizards.

After hearing Professor McGonagall's instructions, Wright stopped, rubbed his hands that had waved the wand countless times, and stared closely at the matches lying quietly on the long table.

"Not at all. I taught myself white magic and succeeded after practicing it three times. And every time I failed, I would instinctively know the reason for the failure."

"Even if they know the spells and techniques to cast magic, their own qualifications will be limited, so ordinary wizards can only practice hard over and over again."

"It seems that my cheat is very powerful. It can save me from repeated practice and make me a genius who can learn things in one go."

"However, now I want to test whether I can learn Transfiguration through my own efforts without adding points. If not, it means that I can't leave this stone tablet."

Thinking of this, Wright gritted his teeth, suppressed the urge to add more, and continued to cast spells on the matches in front of him.
