Chapter 227 Black Mansion

A few hours later, the train rumbled and blew a sharp whistle as it slowly pulled into King's Cross Station.

After sitting on the train for most of the day, Wright and his companions were exhausted but excited to go home, so they left the train carrying their luggage.

When they got out of the platform and followed the crowd to the station.

The parents who had been waiting in the station all walked towards their children whom they had not seen for a long time.

Harry immediately ran towards Sirius, who was slightly covered, and gave him a big hug.

Sirius hugged Harry, patted him on the back, then looked at Wright and said:

"Would you like to be my guest? We agreed on that before!"

Hearing the invitation, Wright said with a smile: "Of course, even if you don't tell me, I will take the initiative to ask."

"That's great. I've been looking forward to this day. Harry, you can come with us."

As Sirius spoke, he looked at Harry, who was very interested.

Without much thought, Harry decided to stay with Sirius for a few days at his place at his strong invitation.

The Dursleys, who hurriedly arrived at King's Cross Station to pick someone up, were driven back by Lupin and Sirius.

After Wright and Harry said goodbye to Hermione and Ron who were traveling with them.

Sirius and Lupin took him to an alley in King's Cross Station.

Sirius took out his wand, looked at Harry and Wright and said:

"Light, Harry! You need to get ready."

"Lupin and I will Apparate you there directly, so you won't have to use any other means of transportation."

"Okay, then we can go now."

Wright did not refuse Sirius' suggestion and directly stretched out his right hand. Seeing this, Harry also quickly stretched out his arm.

Sirius looked at Lupin, but Lupin didn't say anything, just nodded and held Wright's wrist directly:

"Apparate!"

As the magic was cast, the four people disappeared into the alley and appeared directly in a remote corner of the dilapidated square.

Sirius carefully helped Harry, who was obviously not used to it, and said to Wright and Lupin:

"Come with me!"

Following Sirius into the renovated house, Harry, who was not quite used to it, was stunned by the scene before him.

The magic lights in the hall lit up as they arrived, casting a clear and soft light.

It was a very spacious hall, with a huge painting facing the door, but it was covered with black cloth.

The dilapidated walls became brand new, without any signs of damage.

The originally large damaged floor was also repaired and covered with a neat and soft carpet.

The surroundings of the hall are decorated with various handicrafts carved from dark and heavy wood.

The house-elf Kreacher, who was cleaning, saw someone coming and started to mock:

"Oh! The damn prodigal son brought his friends here again. So disgusting..."

As he spoke, he quietly removed the curtain covering the portrait.

Before Sirius could speak, an old, high-pitched female voice sounded:

"Get the hell out of here you filthy stinking, vile half-bloods, you don't deserve to be in this mansion,"

"You half-bloods, just by existing, make me sick. Go away, go away now..."

In the life-size portrait with the curtain removed, an old woman in a black top hat is screaming and cursing.

Light and Harry, frightened by the sudden noise, looked at Sirius, whose expression was changing wildly.

"Damn it! Kreacher, close the curtain for me. I told you not to lift it."

Facing the furious Sirius, Kreacher muttered: "I opened it 'accidentally' while cleaning."

The old woman in the painting saw Sirius's furious look and shouted even louder:

"I won't let you have it easy. Kreacher will help me. You, this evil creature, will not have a good ending."

"You are a black sheep who brings shame to our family. You should not have been born into this world."

"You! And those disgusting half-blood bastards, get out, get out..."

Sirius, with a gloomy face, walked quickly forward and snatched the curtain from Kreacher's hand.

With a powerful flick, he covered the portrait with it, interrupting her curse.

Looking at Sirius' murderous eyes, Kreacher said nothing, just snapped his fingers and disappeared on the spot.

"Sirius, who is this portrait?"

Harry looked at Sirius cautiously, his face heavy, and couldn't help asking curiously:

Facing Lupin's worried eyes and Harry's question, Sirius forced a smile and said:

"The painting depicts my mother, a crazy and extreme purist."

"She discriminates against all non-pure-blood wizards and does not allow them to set foot here."

"Of course! All purebloods have similar problems, to varying degrees."

After saying that, Sirius looked at the wrapped portrait in distress and said dissatisfiedly:

"I really should think of a way to throw her out, or burn her."

“Is it difficult to take down the portrait?”

Hearing Sirius being so afraid of the painting, Harry also looked at the portrait hanging in front of him curiously.

Wright, who had been observing the layout of the house carefully and had not spoken, explained to Harry:

"It's not simple. The portrait is embedded in this house."

“If the portrait is forcibly removed or damaged, the house itself will be damaged.”

Sirius also nodded repeatedly, sighed helplessly, and said with a bit of nervous breakdown:

"That's true. I've been trying to find a way to get rid of this painting."

"Otherwise, she and that damn Kreacher will mess up this house."

After hearing Sirius' complaints, Light finally understood why Sirius needed help.

Just after he was released from prison and restored his innocence, he was constantly attacked mentally by a little elf and a painting.

And according to Sirius's character, he would not easily attack Kreacher, and the portrait could not be solved for the time being.

It’s not easy to do both things. If it were me, I would also collapse and need help!

Just as Wright was daydreaming, Sirius shouted in revenge:

"Kreacher, make dinner properly!"

"As the house-elf of the Black family, you should not neglect your guests."

After he finished speaking, without waiting for Kreacher's response, he looked at Wright and the others and continued:

"Come with me! I'll take you to the bedroom so that you won't get into any trouble with that Kreacher."

Sirius also deliberately took Wright and others to a guest room far away from the portraits in the hall.
