Chapter 36: Third Meeting with Dumbledore

“Ice lemonade”

In front of the huge stone beast, Wright read out the command given by Hagrid, and a passage appeared in front of the four people.

Hagrid wanted to come, but was rejected by Hermione and Harry. Harry said he was afraid that Hagrid would let slip that it was illegal to keep dragons in captivity. If he was exposed, he would be sent to Azkaban.

"The professor doesn't seem to be here!" Harry looked around the office but didn't see anyone.

"Then first..."

"Hello, classmates! Is there anything I can help you with?" Before Wright could finish his words, a kind voice came from behind him.

"Professor, we accidentally learned from Hagrid that a man in black robes has obtained Fluffy's weakness. He is very likely to go through the trapdoor and steal the Philosopher's Stone." Harry immediately stepped forward and said when he saw Dumbledore.

Ron and Hermione then added that there were some strange things that happened these days. Harry lost control of his broom during the game, and Snape injured his leg after Halloween.

"Don't be in a hurry, take your time. Sit down first and then talk." Dumbledore did not show any surprise. Instead, he waved his hand and conjured up four chairs, inviting the four to sit down.

"How did you know about the Philosopher's Stone?" Dumbledore began asking questions after the four of them sat down.

Wright used all his strength to activate the brain occlusion technique. In order to avoid his information being absorbed, Wright remained silent.

"We learned from Hagrid that what Fluffy was guarding was the Philosopher's Stone, and then we looked up its purpose and origins."

"Who do you think would do such a thing?" Dumbledore asked after listening to Hermione's explanation.

"We suspect it's Snape! He seems to be acting strangely." Harry directly stated his guess.

Dumbledore heard Harry's words and said nothing. Instead, he asked Wright, "Mr. Rags, who do you think wants to get the Philosopher's Stone?"

"Qiluo...!" Wright, who was daydreaming, heard the question and answered instinctively. He was startled after saying it, and then forced himself to calm down.

"Why?" Dumbledore continued to ask in the face of Harry and the other two's puzzled looks.

"It's just a simple guess. The strange things that happened this year all happened because Professor Quirrell came to Hogwarts to teach. Nothing like this happened before he came." Wright said in a forced casual tone.

Dumbledore did not reply this time, seeming to ponder the possibility of what Wright had said.

"Professor, don't you believe us?" Harry said a little disappointedly when he saw that Dumbledore didn't seem to care much.

"No, of course I believe you."

"But I also don't doubt the professors. I don't believe they would do that."

Before Harry and the other two could retort, Dumbledore continued, "It's not just the three-headed dog that guards the Philosopher's Stone. Several professors have also set up protective measures."

"Snape and Quirrell have both set it up, so the Philosopher's Stone is safe."

"Moreover, as far as I know, the person who wants to get the Philosopher's Stone is not Snape and Quirrell, but an extremely dangerous person." After saying this, Dumbledore stood up and ordered them to leave.

"I'll pay more attention. You guys go back first! If you find anything else, you can come to me directly."

"Okay! Professor, excuse me."

Harry opened his mouth and wanted to say something, but in the end he said nothing and left the office with Wright and others.

"Severus, can you come over? I have something to ask you." Dumbledore thought for a moment and touched the phoenix Fawkes, who instantly turned into a beam of fire and disappeared.

"What's the matter? Headmaster!" Snape walked out in the light of Fox's fire.

"Here's what happened!" Dumbledore waved his hand, and the video just now appeared in the office. Snape watched it with a frown.

"What do you think, Severus?"

"There's something wrong with Letter Rags. He is too calm. It's as if everything has nothing to do with him, yet he is involved in it. And his spellcasting level is too abnormal." Snape expressed his opinion coldly.

"I thought so too, but it should have nothing to do with him. He gave me a very familiar feeling, as if he kept everything in his heart." Dumbledore expressed his thoughts.

"Have you decided to let it go?" Snape asked Dumbledore after hesitating for a moment.

Dumbledore did not reply, but remained silent.

"It's ridiculous. Whether it's Quirrell or Light, you know everything and can solve it, but you chose to stand by and watch." Snape said angrily.

"Severus, we all know that Harry needs to face these things alone. We can't protect him all the time."

"Besides, you know better than me why Harry must face Voldemort." Dumbledore said helplessly in the face of Snape's anger.

"It's ridiculous. Let a few first-year wizards fight the Dark Lord? Albus, this is not an adventure story, but a reality of despair and pain." Snape could no longer suppress his anger.

"I'm sorry, Severus. This is all I can do. I will try my best to train Harry while I still have the ability. According to the prophecy, only Harry can defeat him." Dumbledore looked at Snape, angry and sad, and said weakly.

"Why do you insist that Harry go? You can do it too. You have the Philosopher's Stone and you don't have to worry about anything." Snape looked at Dumbledore with great disappointment.

"Of course I can suppress him, but what about the future? When he returns, will the wizarding world return to a state of panic? We must kill him completely, and now is not the worst time yet."

"I just hope that you still remember our agreement. So what's the matter with you calling me here?" Snape asked gloomily as he looked at Dumbledore who was unwilling to say more.

"I want you to train Wright. He has great potential, but I'm worried." Dumbledore made a request to Snape.

"I understand!" Snape said with a gloomy face, turned around and left the headmaster's office.

"Wright, do you really think there's something wrong with Quirrell?" Harry asked.

"Yes, don't you think he is weird? Or should I say, he is very wrong!" Wright continued to fool the three people with his feeling.

"That's true, Quirrell is indeed a little strange." Ron thought of Quirrell's usual behavior and agreed.

"But we can't doubt Quirrell because of this! You know, most professors in school are a little weird." Hermione said speechlessly.

"We have already told Professor Dumbledore. We will just leave it to the professors to handle it!" Wright began to pass the buck.

The four of them walked towards the dormitory, chatting and laughing all the way. Wright didn't notice at all that there was a figure hiding in the dark, staring at him with a gloomy look.
