Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 107 Mist and Dreams
Selina followed Aria to an open highland. The stars were scattered all over the night sky like diamonds, emitting a hazy glow. Aria gently waved the branch in her hand and tapped the brightest star in the night sky.
"Look, that's the morning star, a symbol of hope and rebirth. Everyone has a morning star in their heart, guiding you in the direction of progress."
As Aria spoke, the starry sky in front of Selina seemed to come alive, with starlight flowing and weaving one fantastic scene after another. Selina saw galloping unicorns, flying phoenixes, and mysterious ancient ruins... These scenes were like dreams, but they were real and within reach.
As Salina immersed herself in the sea of stars, she felt an indescribable emotion in her heart. She seemed to see another self, brave, determined, and full of strength. That self was running towards her dream, fearless.
"Selina, what is the guiding star in your heart? Where is it guiding you?" Aria's voice was gentle and distant, pulling Salina back from the illusion.
Salina looked at the starry sky and fell into deep thought.
After a long pause, she asked softly, "So, can you tell me what you see as my future?"
Aria didn't answer immediately. She put away her smile and turned to look at Salina. There seemed to be thousands of stars hidden in her deep eyes. Salina held her breath, waiting for her answer.
Aria was silent for a while, then she smiled slightly, leaned close to Salina, and whispered: "Salina, I can't see anything about your future. It's all fog."
Salina was stunned. She didn't expect this answer.
"A fog?" Salina murmured to herself. So this was the reason. Because she couldn't see, Magnus paid special attention to her.
Aria patted Serena's hand gently and comforted her: "Don't worry, Serena, this is not necessarily a bad thing."
Salina looked at Aria, waiting for her explanation.
"The unknown fog represents infinite possibilities, which means that your future is in your own hands..." Aria said meaningfully.
……
Night fell over the land, and thick fog filled the ancient oak forest. In the dark shadows, two cloaked men were talking.
"Idiot, why are you messing around in Hogsmeade? Now Dumbledore has noticed us." A deep voice came from under the cloak, the tone full of suppressed anger.
"So what? He can't do anything to us." Another cloaked man said nonchalantly, with a hint of contemptuous smile, "What kind of trouble can an old man cause?"
"What do you know!" The first cloaked man waved his arms violently, as if he wanted to teach this ignorant guy a lesson. "Our plan has just begun, and we can't let it fail because of your recklessness!"
"Come on, you're just too cautious." The second cloaked man sneered, "We are..."
His words came to an abrupt end, because the first cloaked man grabbed his neck and said in a voice as cold as the wind from hell: "If you dare to say another word, I will throw you into the Forbidden Forest to feed the giant eight-eyed spiders!"
The second cloaked man was startled by this sudden action. He tried to pry the other's hand away and breathed hard. After a long while, the first cloaked man let go of his hand and warned in a cold tone: "Don't ask what you shouldn't ask, don't say what you shouldn't say, just do your own thing!"
After saying that, he turned and disappeared into the darkness, leaving the second cloaked man clutching his neck, gasping in shock. He stared at the direction where the other man left with resentment, and cursed in a low voice: "Damn you, one day, I will make you kneel at my feet and beg for mercy!"
……
Aria's words were like a stone, stirring up ripples in the calm lake of Sharina's heart.
"It's in your own hands..." Salina repeated this sentence in a low voice, with mixed feelings in her heart.
"Don't think too much, Sharina." Aria seemed to see through her anxiety and ruffled her hair with a smile. "It's getting late. Let's go back."
As the night deepened, the gathering of the horses came to an end. They neighed loudly, one after another, as if an ancient ballad was echoing in the woods.
Salina could feel the vibration coming from under her feet, which was the sound of horse hooves stepping on the ground, raising fine dust. She could also seem to smell the faint scent of grass at the tip of her nose, mixed with the unique scent of horses.
"What are you thinking about, Serena?"
Ginny's voice brought Sharina back to reality. She turned to look at her and found that she and Colin were looking at her with concern.
"Nothing," Salina shook her head.
Hagrid's voice sounded not far away: "Well, kids, it's getting late, we should go back."
Several people stood up and followed Hagrid out of the oak forest. Salina was at the end of the group and she looked back at the quiet forest.
……
When we returned to Gryffindor Tower, the common room was still bustling, the fire in the fireplace was warm and bright, and several senior students were still discussing something animatedly.
Salina had no time to care about anything. She just wanted to take a hot bath and have a good sleep.
The bathroom was filled with steaming hot air and a faint floral scent.
Salina soaked herself in the warm water, letting the water wash over her tired body.
She closed her eyes and tried to clear her mind, but those strange images and prophecies flashed through her mind like a kaleidoscope.
She shook her head vigorously, trying to get those images out of her mind.
No, I can't think about it anymore! Salina told herself that it was meaningless to think about it now. What the future would be like, in the end, she still had to fight for it by herself.
She quickly finished washing and changed into a soft and comfortable nightgown.
When I walked out of the bathroom, the common room was quiet, with only the fire in the fireplace still crackling.
Salina tiptoed back to the dormitory and got into the warm bed.
There was a book next to her pillow that she hadn't finished reading, but she was no longer in the mood to read it.
Salina closed her eyes and fell into a tired sleep.
Salina's consciousness gradually became blurred, and the dream unfolded before her eyes like a colorful oil painting.
She found herself in a strange forest. The branches of the trees were twisted into incredible shapes, the leaves shone with a metallic luster, and made crisp and pleasant wind chimes in the breeze.
The ground was covered with soft moss, emitting a pearly halo.
Colorful creatures shuttled through the woods, some of them looked like rabbits with butterfly wings, some looked like squirrels with shining fish tails, and some looked like elves with crystal balls on their heads, looking at her curiously.
……
The early morning sunlight poured into the dormitory through the colored glass windows, leaving colorful light and shadows on Salina's quilt.
Salina turned over in her sleep and wanted to continue sleeping in a daze, but was awakened by a burst of cheerful singing.
"The early bird catches the worm, and the early Gryffindor catches breakfast~"
Ginny hummed a little tune she had made up as she drew aside the curtains, letting the warm light fill the room.
She turned around and saw Sharina still buried in the quilt. She walked over with a smile and reached out to push her gently.
"Salina, wake up! If you sleep any longer, breakfast will be snatched up!"
