Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 116 Harry's Thoughts
The warm sunlight poured into the room through the pink curtains, casting a soft spot of light on Salina's bedside table.
Salina rubbed her sleepy eyes, sat up from the bed and stretched.
She drew open the curtains, and the fresh morning air mixed with the fragrance of grass blew in her face. The mountains in the distance shone with golden light under the rising sun, and the crisp sound of birds chirping echoed in her ears.
Sharina changed her clothes happily and prepared to start a new day.
Just then, she noticed a small, delicate package on the bedside table, with a parchment card on top.
On the card was a crooked cat, sticking its tongue out at some flying ink fish, and next to it was written in cursive:
[Our dear Salina, please accept our most sincere apologies! To express our deep regret, we specially prepared a small gift for you, hoping to make up for the harm we have caused you! - Fred and George who love you forever]
Serena carefully untied the ribbon on the package and gently lifted the lid.
A new light blue dress lay quietly in the package, the soft fabric gleaming with a gentle luster.
She gently picked up the skirt and slid her fingertips over the delicate patterns embroidered with silver thread on the hem. In the sunlight, the silver thread seemed to flow, shining with tiny rays of light.
A faint scent of lavender emanated from the skirt, and Salina couldn't help laughing. This pair of funny guys always made people love and hate them.
In the evening, Salina changed into her new light blue dress. The patterns embroidered with silver thread on the hem swayed gently with her steps, setting off her fair skin and long hair.
She put on a necklace of the same color in front of the mirror, revealing her graceful neck and chin.
In a good mood, she hummed a cheerful song and went to the library to find some books about Huhu grass to prepare for her potion experiment.
The library was filled with the aroma of ancient books and magical inks, and the tall bookshelves stretched all the way to the ceiling, with almost no end in sight.
The sunlight shines through the glass windows, illuminating the ancient portraits hanging on the walls. The characters in the portraits seem to move their eyes as Salina follows her footsteps.
Salina walked around the bookshelves containing books on the history of magic with ease and headed towards a more secluded area deep inside the library, where precious books on potions were placed, emitting a faint glow.
"Salina, are you here to look for a book too?" A familiar voice sounded in her ears. Salina was startled and the book "Thousands of Magical Herbs and Fungi" in her hand almost slipped from her fingertips.
She reached out hurriedly and clasped the spine of the book tightly with her five fingers, thus preventing the precious book from falling to the ground.
Salina took a deep breath, trying to calm her pounding heart. She turned her head and saw Harry standing behind her, holding a thick black leather book in his hand. On the cover was written "Advanced Defense Against the Dark Arts" in silver font.
He was looking at her curiously, his deep emerald green eyes sparkling with light, as deep and charming as the starry sky at night.
"Harry! You scared me!" Salina patted her chest, trying to calm her accelerated heartbeat, "Why are you here?"
"Me? I'm here to borrow this book." Harry shook the book in his hand. Salina noticed that the tips of his ears seemed to turn slightly red. "Advanced Defense Against the Dark Arts. I heard that it contains many methods to deal with dark magic creatures. I want to take a look."
Salina's eyes fell on the thick black book, the spine of which was decorated with silver metal, making it look mysterious and ancient.
She noticed that Harry's eyes stayed on her for a moment, slowly moved up from the hem of her light blue skirt, and finally stopped at her face, as if he was looking at something.
"Your dress is beautiful," Harry said suddenly, his tone a little unnatural. He hastily looked away and his eyes fell on the bookshelf beside him. "It suits you very well."
"Thank you..." Salina nodded with a smile.
At this moment, Salina's eyes fell on a thick hardcover book. On the spine of the book was written "Advanced Potion Configuration Guide" in golden font. This was exactly what she needed!
She stretched out her hand excitedly, trying to reach for the book.
At the same time, Harry also noticed the book. He remembered that Salina was studying Potions, so he reached out and wanted to help her take the book.
However, just as their fingertips were about to touch the spine of the book, their hands accidentally touched each other.
Harry felt as if his fingertips had touched a dancing flame. A strange electric current instantly spread throughout his body, and a tingling sensation quickly spread.
Harry felt his cheeks getting even hotter, and he could even feel Serena's warm breath brushing the back of his hand.
Time seemed to stand still at this moment, and the library was so quiet that the only sound was their heartbeats.
Harry was stunned for a moment before he reacted and helped Salina take the book down. "Do you need this "Advanced Potion Preparation Guide"? " His voice sounded a little hoarse.
"Thank you, Harry!" Salina took the book and accidentally touched Harry's fingers again. Harry retracted his hand as if he had been electrocuted, and his cheeks flushed. "Then I'll go first. See you later!"
Harry lowered his head and quickly left the library, his leather shoes tapping on the wooden floor with a rapid "clacking" sound.
His back quickly disappeared at the end of the bookshelf, leaving Salina standing there alone, holding the "Advanced Potion Preparation Guide" in her hand.
Outside the window, the Quidditch field that was once bustling with activity was now deserted, and the green lawn was empty, with only a few black ravens jumping on the grass for food, occasionally making a few hoarse calls.
The corridor connecting the library and the main building of the castle was paved with smooth stone slabs. The tall arched windows let in dazzling sunlight, illuminating the corridor with a golden hue. However, it was empty at this moment. Only the sound of Harry's footsteps just now was still echoing in the empty corridor.
Harry leaned against the cold wall alone, and the coolness of the corridor seemed to calm him down a little.
He pressed the back of his hand against his burning cheek, trying to cool down the burning heat on his face.
Salina's light blue skirt swayed in front of his eyes, and her gentle voice echoed in his ears, brushing across his heart as gently as a feather.
He seemed to still be able to feel the lingering warmth on his fingertips, as well as the tingling electric current that went straight from his fingertips to his heart, causing his heartbeat to speed up and his breathing to become a little rapid.
Harry closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm his restless emotions.
In my mind, the image of Salina lowering her head and smiling is so clear, and the golden sunlight shines on the ends of her hair, as if coated with a layer of soft halo.
"She's so beautiful..." Harry murmured softly, his tone filled with unconscious tenderness.
Harry didn't know what was wrong with him, but Salina's figure often appeared in his mind.
Her eyes were like the brightest stars in the clear night sky, clear and bright, yet with a hint of mystery.
Her smile was as warm as the sunshine, and her gentle voice attracted him like magic every time they met.
Harry tried to convince himself that this was just friendship between friends, but a voice in his heart became clearer and clearer: he liked Salina more than just a friend.
