Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 145: Temple Blood Pool

The small village near the bar is hidden deep in the forest. Several narrow muddy paths lead to the center of the village. The houses are built of rough stones with mottled walls and overgrown weeds on the roofs.

There is no sunlight here all year round, and the air is filled with a musty smell mixed with the scent of various herbs and unknown potions.

The dark and humid environment has given rise to many strange-shaped plants. Most of them grow twisted, with vines covered with barbs and leaves that are an unhealthy dark purple, as if they will spray venom at any time.

Occasionally, a few pitch-black crows would make shrill cries and flap their wings as they flew over the low roofs, adding a somewhat eerie atmosphere to this gloomy little village.

The small village is a hodgepodge of good and bad people, and the law does not seem to exist. There are sneaky and ferocious black wizards and a wide variety of black magic shops everywhere.

Apart from that, the country's natural scenery does have a fatal attraction.

The towering mountains reach the sky, the dense forests cover the vast land, and the clear rivers meander along, forming a magnificent picture.

If you are not afraid of the dangerous black magic and vicious dark wizards, this is definitely a great place to relax and explore the mysteries of nature.

Unfortunately, reality is often much more cruel than imagination.

If you want to survive here, strong strength is essential. You must not only beware of the ferocious magical animals lurking in the dark, but also be careful of the dark wizards with ulterior motives.

If you are not careful, you may die without knowing how.

……

Salina withdrew her gaze from the window. The twisted branches at the edge of the forest were swaying in the strong wind, as if they would be broken in the next second.

In the low and dark doorway opposite, an old witch wearing a hood was sitting there. In the dim light, there was a malicious smile on her wrinkled face.

Closing the window, Salina sat down beside the bed.

She had just booked this room and planned to rest here for a night before starting her exploration tomorrow.

According to rumors, there seems to be a temple in this place, and it is said that there are mountains of gold buried inside. Many people come here for this.

But Salina had no interest in gold, and the wizard would not ask people to come here specifically for gold.

As night fell, thick darkness poured down like ink, quickly swallowing up the dim lights of the Mountain Eagle Bar.

The whole village seemed to have fallen into a suffocating silence, with only the howling wind blowing through the dilapidated houses, making a low roar like the roar of a wild beast.

Those strange-shaped plants looked even more hideous in the night, and their twisted branches swayed in the night wind like ghosts with bared fangs and claws.

Occasionally a few drops of dew drip from the leaves, sounding particularly clear in the quiet night, as if they were the footsteps of some unknown creature, creepy.

From time to time, a few shrill howls were heard from afar, echoing in the empty valley.

Those were wolves deep in the forest roaming around at night, looking for their prey.

The noise in the bar gradually faded away, replaced by snoring and talking in sleep.

Salina lay in bed, but she was not sleepy at all.

At this time, there was a creaking sound of wooden boards outside the corridor, as if someone was walking through the door.

Salina became alert instantly and walked cautiously to the door to listen.

The footsteps seemed to be heading towards the stairs, probably going downstairs.

Salina hesitated for a moment, then used Animagus...

A little white fox quietly left the room and walked to the stairs.

In the middle of the night, three wizards were sitting in a dark corner beside the fireplace. They were wearing thick black robes that they wore in winter, with the edges of the robes hanging down to their feet.

There was also a dark-colored scarf wrapped around the top of the head, covering the head tightly.

Salina could see nothing but a dark mass.

Salina approached quietly and finally hid herself next to a wine barrel.

"Are you sure the news is reliable?" one of the wizards asked in a low voice, with a hint of excitement in his tone that was hard to conceal.

"Of course! We saw it with our own eyes! A huge magic circle appeared in the forest, emitting a strong dark aura. It must be related to the temple!" another wizard replied excitedly.

The other wizard hesitated for a moment and decided: "In that case, let's set off immediately."

……

Salina watched them leave in a hurry, thinking to herself: Magic circle? Temple? Is this what I'm looking for?

Curiosity and potential danger made Salina hesitate whether to follow and take a look.

Finally, she decided - follow!

She followed quietly behind the three wizards, careful to avoid branches and vines.

The light around was getting dimmer and dimmer, and the air was filled with a rotten smell that made people feel sick.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, Salina's eyes suddenly opened up and a huge square appeared in front of her.

In the center of the square, an ancient temple stands tall, with strange patterns carved on the walls.

Hundreds of wizards were fighting here, and magical lights of various colors illuminated the night sky.

"Damn it, why are there so many people?" cursed a wizard. He was hit by a red light and fell to the ground in pain.

"Don't worry about it, just rush in!" another wizard shouted and rushed into the temple first.

Salina hesitated for a moment, then rushed in.

The inside of the temple was even more chaotic than outside, with sounds of fighting, groans of the injured, and curses everywhere.

Salina hid behind a pillar and observed the situation around her.

The obsidian walls, ceiling and floor of the temple were dyed red with blood, and its original appearance could not be seen.

Creak, creak, creak... With the dry sound of the pulley, the heavy stone door slowly rose.

A turbid and damp smell gushed out from the secret passage.

At the end of the long and narrow secret passage is a scary large angelica plant.

The smell in the air was unpleasant and strange. Salina remembered what Professor Sprout said, that the smell of lovage could make people confused.

She held her breath and rushed into the pool, casting a Bubble Head Charm on herself.

The pool is very deep and follows an ancient passage down to deep underground.

In the turbid water, Salina couldn't tell the exact direction at all.

When Salina finally emerged from the water, she found herself in a huge underground space.

This space is several times larger than the square above. The surrounding walls are inlaid with countless glowing gems, illuminating the entire space like daylight.

In the center of the space, a huge pool of blood exuded a disgusting smell.

Mix a lot of blood in it.

This pool of blood was facing the huge crack above the temple. It was more than a thousand feet deep. It was pitch black above and nothing could be seen. It was like a black hole that swallowed everything.
