Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 147 Durmstrang School of Magic

Salina was awakened by the sound of rain outside the window, which hit the ancient window frame, as if playing a ballad from far away.

She opened her sleepy eyes and found herself in a completely unfamiliar room.

The room is very large, with a rough decoration style yet a hint of Nordic elegance. A warm flame is burning in the fireplace, illuminating the entire room with a warm yellow.

She moved her body and found that her ankle no longer hurt, but it still ached slightly.

Looking around, his eyes finally landed on the chair beside the bed, where Krum was sleeping soundly on the edge of the bed.

Salina's heart suddenly skipped a beat, and she remembered what happened last night.

Krum's sleeping face looked very peaceful, less fierce than during the game and more gentle like a teenager.

Serena couldn't help but secretly look at the Quidditch star in front of her. His tall nose cast a shadow under the warm yellow light, and his lips were slightly pursed, as if he was a little worried even in his dream.

"Are you awake?" Krum seemed to notice her gaze, and suddenly raised his head and looked at her sleepily.

Salina was startled, and hurriedly looked away, asking, "Have you...have you been here all the time?"

Krum rubbed his eyes and whispered, "Well, I was worried that you would be scared when you woke up, so..." He paused, as if he felt that what he said was a bit easy to be misunderstood, and his ears turned slightly red. "How does your ankle feel?"

"It...it doesn't hurt anymore," Salina looked at the boy in front of her and thanked him sincerely, "Thank you, Krum."

"Just call me Viktor." Krum looked at her with a gentle gaze. "Now that you have recovered, do you want to visit Durmstrang?"

"Well," Sharina nodded slightly and asked curiously, "What does Durmstrang look like?"

Krum smiled, and began to introduce his school to Salina with great interest: the magnificent castle, the ancient magic, the fierce Quidditch games, and the classmates who came from different countries and spoke different languages...

"Our school builds all the ships ourselves, and every graduate will build a ship of their own." Krum spoke slowly in a low and magnetic voice.

Sharina held her chin and asked with sparkling eyes, "Really? What does your ship look like?"

"Well..." Krum touched his head a little embarrassedly, "I haven't started yet. I've been doing Quidditch training recently, and the Quidditch World Cup is coming soon... After I'm done with this period of time, I will start..."

……

The corridors of Durmstrang were filled with a faint woody scent, like the scent of an ancient forest.

Serena followed behind Krum, looking around curiously.

Unlike the magical portraits and talking armor at Hogwarts, the walls here are covered with specimens of various animals, lifelike falcons, ferocious giant bears, and strange creatures that she couldn't name, all of which highlight the ruggedness and wildness of this school.

"Is it usually lively here?" Salina asked, looking at the empty corridor.

"It's summer vacation now, and most students have gone home. They won't be back until September," Krum explained, with a hint of disappointment in his tone. "Only I'm here because I have to participate in the World Cup, so..."

Salina glanced at him secretly and whispered, "That must have been hard, too, right?"

"Fortunately, I like Quidditch." Krum smiled and quickened his pace. "Come on, I'll take you to the library. There are many interesting books there."

The library at Durmstrang is smaller than the one at Hogwarts, but it has just as many books.

Tall bookshelves stretched to the ceiling, filled with books in every language, and the air smelled of old parchment.

Salina's attention was attracted by several books with black covers on the bookshelf. She walked closer and found that they were all black magic.

Krum glanced at the spine of the book and said calmly, "Our school has done a lot of research on this."

Salina flipped through it and found that they were all content she had never seen before, and she couldn't help but feel itchy.

"Aren't you... afraid?" Krum asked cautiously.

Salina looked at him doubtfully and asked, "Why should you be afraid? Magic is just a tool. The key lies in the person who uses it."

Krum opened his mouth, then laughed.

"Many people hate this school because of the dark magic of Durmstrang. They think that the dark magic is unforgivable, so we students are not good people either."

Salina whispered, "This is prejudice."

Krum nodded and said, "But few people are not affected. Some people give up and do a lot of bad things... and then these bad reputations backfire back to the school..."

Feeling that the atmosphere seemed to be depressing, Krum suddenly changed the subject and asked, "Do you want to see it?"

Salina was stunned, "What?"

"I have a lot of books on this subject in my home study. If you are interested, I can make some copies and send them to you." Krum asked with a smile.

Salina's eyes suddenly lit up, and she nodded a little embarrassedly: "Really? Thank you so much!"

Krum looked at her, with a slight smile on his face. "Nothing, we are friends."

……

"It's almost time," Krum closed the book and glanced out the window at the orange-red sunset sky. "Come on, I'll take you to dinner."

The dining room at Durmstrang is somewhat similar to the one at Hogwarts, with long tables and candles floating in the air.

The difference is that the food here is obviously more rough and bold.

"Wow!" Salina couldn't help but exclaimed as she looked at the food in front of her.

A large piece of sizzling wild boar leg was placed in the middle of the table, next to it was a pile of black bread and a large pot of bright red soup.

Salina even saw plates of roasted, browned, unidentified insects.

Krum looked at her expression and scratched his head a little embarrassedly. "The food in our school has always been... well, more unique."

"It looks great! I can't wait to try it." Serena smiled and picked up the knife and fork, eager to try.

She first dipped the bread into the soup, and the taste was unexpectedly delicious, with a hint of spice, like some plant root she had never tasted before.

"What kind of soup is this?" Salina asked curiously.

"It's borscht, made with beets," Krum explained. "We drink that a lot back home."

"It's delicious!" Salina praised sincerely, and then cast her eyes on the plate of roasted insects, "What about this? What is it?"

Krum's face froze slightly, and he said unnaturally: "This is... is..."

"It's fried bean worms, high in protein!" A rough voice sounded nearby.

A burly, bearded boy sat opposite Krum with a plate in his hand. He grinned at Salina, revealing his white teeth. "Hello, little girl. What grade are you in? I don't think I've seen you before."

Salina was startled by him and subconsciously moved closer to Krum.

Krum frowned in displeasure, "Bolivar, this is my friend, Salina."

"Friend?" Bolivar gave Salina a meaningful look, then burst into laughter. "Krum, when did you learn to be gentle with women? This is not our Durmstrang style!"

Krum's face flushed red, "Bolivar, what nonsense are you talking about!"

Bolivar shrugged nonchalantly, picked up a fried bean worm and stuffed it into his mouth. While chewing, he said incoherently, "Okay, okay, I was talking nonsense! I came here to tell you that you can't take leave for the next training. Time is very urgent."

Krum lowered his head and said in a muffled voice, "I know."
