Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 156: Battle with Little Barty

A slight sound of footsteps was heard in the darkness, which was particularly clear in the silent night.

Salina raised her head suddenly and looked alertly in the direction where the sound came from.

A tall figure walked out of the darkness. He was wearing a long black traveling cloak. The hood covered his face, leaving only a tuft of beard on his chin.

His steps were steady and powerful, as if nothing around him could shake him.

Sharina couldn't see his face clearly, but she could feel the eyes hidden in the shadows staring at them coldly.

Salina's heart was beating violently. She instinctively protected Harry behind her, pointed her wand at the person who came, and shouted, "Who are you? What do you want to do?"

The black shadow slowly approached, and as he got closer, Salina saw his face clearly - a pale and thin face, a hooked nose, narrow eyes flashing with cold light, and a cruel smile at the corner of his mouth.

"You are... Barty Crouch Jr.?!" Salina exclaimed. She recognized this guy as the Death Eater who would impersonate Mad-Eye Moody next semester.

"It's really unexpected that a little wizard like you would recognize me," Little Barty's voice was hoarse and low, "But I didn't come here to reminisce about the past."

His gaze passed over Salina and fell on Harry behind her, greedy and fanatical light flashing in his eyes: "It's him I want, Harry Potter!"

"Don't even think about it!" Salina stood in front of Harry without hesitation, pointing her wand at Little Barty.

"You want to stop me? Haha, you overestimate your abilities!" Little Barty sneered and waved his wand. A green light went straight towards Salina.

Salina was prepared. She quickly dodged to the side and waved her wand. A red light shot towards Little Barty.

Little Barty calmly raised his wand, and a black barrier appeared in front of him, blocking Salina's attack.

"A mere trifle!" Little Barty snorted disdainfully and waved his wand again. Spells came towards Salina like a rainstorm.

Salina was exhausted from fighting back. After all, she was just a student, while Barty Jr. was an experienced Death Eater. The gap in strength was huge.

"Disarm you!" Little Barty roared, and a powerful spell hit Salina's wand. Salina felt her wrist numb, and the wand flew out of her hand and flew away.

"Selina!" Harry exclaimed and hurried forward to support Salina.

"Don't get in the way," Little Barty said viciously, pointing his wand at Salina's throat, "Potter! Follow me obediently, or else..."

"Salina, don't worry about me, just go away!" Harry shouted anxiously. He didn't want Salina to take risks for him.

"No, I won't leave you alone!" Salina said firmly. She looked into Harry's eyes and said word by word, "I said I would protect you!"

Harry felt as if his heart skipped a beat. He looked at Serena's determined eyes and a warm feeling surged in his heart.

In a corner where little Barty couldn't see, Salina took out a small slate from her bag.

This is a disposable prop she made using the magic crystal ball. It can generate a barrier with a radius of ten meters.

Salina took a deep breath, closed her eyes, concentrated her mind, and poured all her magic power into the crystal ball.

The crystal ball emitted a dazzling light, and a huge transparent barrier opened instantly, covering Salina and Harry.

"What is this?!" Little Barty exclaimed. He had never seen such powerful magic. It was not something an underage wizard could do.

"The Aurors from the Ministry of Magic will be here soon. You don't stand a chance." Salina said firmly.

Little Barty was furious. Looking at Harry who was so close yet unable to touch him, he slammed the ground hard with his wand in anger.

As he moved, the entire Quidditch pitch began to shake violently.

Salina realized that something was wrong, she hugged Harry tightly and protected him under her body.

"Boom——"

The main building of the stadium collapsed with a loud bang, and countless rubble and dust poured down like a torrential rain, instantly swallowing up Salina and Harry.

When the deafening roar gradually subsided and the smoke and dust gradually dissipated, the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic arrived late, only to see Harry sitting among the rubble, holding the unconscious Serena tightly in his arms.

……

St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries is located in an old department store in the center of London, inconspicuously.

It hides its existence from the public, and only wizards can pass through the revolving door and enter a world of magical healing.

The interior of the hospital was warm and bright, with sunlight streaming through the stained glass dome, illuminating the magical plants and animals depicted on the pale green walls.

The air was filled with the faint aroma of potions, which was reassuring.

Therapists in emerald green robes walked lightly between the wards, talking in low voices with friendly smiles on their faces, bringing hope and comfort to the patients.

In a quiet ward of St. Mungo's Hospital for Magic and Wizardry, the afternoon sun shines through the window, over the light green curtains, and softly falls on the white bed.

Salina's fingers moved slightly, then her eyelids trembled, and finally she slowly opened her eyes.

The warm sunshine fell on her body, bringing her a sense of warmth.

She blinked, adjusted to the light, and her vision gradually became clearer.

The snow-white ceiling, the light green walls, and the faint smell of disinfectant in the air all told her that she was in a hospital ward.

Salina propped herself up and tried to sit up, but she felt dizzy and her whole body ached and weak.

At this moment, fragments of her memory came flooding back like a tide, and she remembered everything that had happened before. She had exhausted her magic power and fell into a coma in order to protect Harry.

At this moment, the door of the ward was gently pushed open, and a tall and thin figure appeared at the door. It was Percy.

He was holding a bunch of bright daisies in his hand, his face looking anxious and a little haggard.

Seeing that Salina had woken up and was struggling to sit up, Percy hurriedly quickened his pace and walked to the bed, a glimmer of surprise in his eyes.

He quickly put the daisy on the bedside table, then reached out to hold Salina's shoulders, letting her lean gently against the bed, and asked with concern: "Salina, you finally woke up, how do you feel? Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"

Salina felt a slight curve at the corner of her mouth and said weakly, "I'm fine now, but I'm still a little weak."

As he was talking, the door of the ward was gently pushed open again, and a tall and strong figure appeared at the door. It was Oliver.

He held a bouquet of lilies in his hand. The white petals were covered with crystal clear water droplets and exuded a faint fragrance.

Seeing that Salina had woken up, a look of joy suddenly appeared on Oliver's originally tense face, and his deep eyes were full of concern.

He walked quickly to the bed, looked at Salina tenderly, and gently placed the lily in his hand on the bedside table, next to the daisies Percy brought.
