Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 16: One Day at the Burrow 1
Following Percy's lead, Ron and Harry moved through the garden, searching for goblins as keenly as hunters.
Percy always had a sly smile on his face, and seemed confident in the strategy he was about to implement.
They tiptoed closer to the hiding place, where a pile of worn-out pumpkin shells, some poison ivy woven into strange shapes, and some scarecrows that had been knocked down silently were all traces of the goblins' mischief.
As soon as the battle began, Percy showed off his special skills.
Like a conductor, he skillfully manipulated several magic vines and pulled down a goblin who had just sneaked up a tree from a high place.
The goblin fell over on his back, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Fred cautiously approached the goblin that had just fallen and said jokingly, "See how you can cause more trouble!" Then he gave George a look, and the two of them rushed forward and surrounded the goblin.
The goblin struggled desperately, but was in vain as the boys restrained him.
Under Percy's command, the garden was transformed into a temporary courtroom.
The captured goblins were lined up, each with an angry look on their face, as if challenging their new ruler.
Ron, like a naughty general, made the goblins act according to his orders one by one.
Some were punished to clear the garden paths, others were ordered to repair the messy flower beds.
Whenever a goblin was assigned to do a chore, if it tried to slack off or continued to make trouble, Percy would not hesitate to use his magic to jokingly "reward" it - sometimes it would turn into a pumpkin head, sometimes it would be launched high into the air. This amusing way of punishment made the goblins both scared and happy.
Under the bright sunshine, the whole garden looked more vibrant, no longer the place that had been tossed into a mess by the goblins.
……
After lunch, the sound of broomsticks' "engines" rose and fell over the vast lawn, breaking the original tranquility.
At Harry's invitation, Salina was practicing Quidditch with the Weasley children.
The Weasley children seemed to be born with unparalleled talent for Quidditch. Even the youngest, Ginny, could fly the broom with ease. Her superb skills were amazing.
As a young and excellent chaser in Hogwarts, Harry led Salina to gradually integrate into this passionate and energetic Quidditch team.
Salina sat on the broom with her eyes closed, feeling the wind whistling past her ears, bringing the excitement of speed and the joy of freedom. The sun shone on her face, warm and bright, making her forget all her worries and fatigue.
In Salina's heart, there was only the joy of flying and the unrestrained sense of happiness.
Every time the broom swooped down to the earth, her heartbeat quickened as if it could jump out of her chest; and every time it pulled up, it brought her back up into the sky, as if she was getting closer to the secrets of the sky.
In this vast sky, Selina seemed to have found her own world, flying freely and releasing her inner passion and joy.
As night fell and the stars twinkled, the flying car took Salina back to the Swinburne family estate.
Today was indeed an exceptionally interesting day, and Salina truly felt the wonder of the magical world.
The day of school started soon, and Salina packed all her luggage into a suitcase with an invisible stretch spell cast on it.
Donald personally drove Salina to Platform 9 3/4 and accompanied her through the pillar at the entrance.
The platform of the Hogwarts Express is where every new student's magical dream begins.
The wide hall was paved with simple beige stone bricks, with a spire towering into the sky on top, and the transparent glass top vaguely revealed the depth of the sky. Several old copper train station signs were hung on the inside of the platform. Under the dim light, each station sign was engraved with a secret mark leading to the magical world.
The air is filled with a unique smell and color mixed with magic candles and coal smoke, as if every minute and every second is telling the intersection of magic and the traditional industrial age.
The busy footsteps of the passengers, the laughter of the children and the rustling of the wizards' hats and robes interweave into a lively picture of the start of the school year.
The most eye-catching thing is the majestic and magnificent Hogwarts Express. The fiery red carriage is like a flowing flame, and the golden logo on the front of the train flickers like flying sparks. The train winds along the platform, and every window emits a warm yellow light, like a lamp of hope in the darkness.
The platform was crowded with young faces. Old students, already wearing wizard hats and robes, gathered together and talked enthusiastically about their holiday experiences; freshmen, carrying large amounts of luggage and with excited expressions on their faces, looked around with curious eyes, their eyes full of longing and expectation for the unknown magical world.
Salina said goodbye to Donald and officially boarded the train to Hogwarts.
A long whistle sounded, marking the beginning of the journey. The train started slowly, carrying every young wizard full of dreams towards the legendary magic school.
……
The swaying sound of the train brushed against Salina's shoulders, as if whispering the secret spell of the magical world.
Salina turned her head slightly to look at the passing scenery outside the window, and an indescribable expectation and curiosity surged in her heart.
Just as she was enjoying the tranquility alone, the door of the compartment was suddenly pushed open with a slight creaking sound.
Salina turned her head, and a ray of mischievous sunlight slanted in through the crack in the door and shone on the person who came.
The boy's face was pale, as if he had not seen the sun for a long time, and his eye-catching platinum-blond hair was particularly dazzling under the light. However, the most attractive thing was the boy's gray-blue eyes full of deep emotions, which seemed to contain a pool of cold autumn water, making people intoxicated at a glance.
The boy's gaze lingered on Salina briefly, with a somewhat cold and probing look in it.
His gray-blue eyes glanced at the crowded crowd at the door of the carriage again, and his brows frowned slightly, revealing a hint of boredom.
Then he snorted coldly, closed the door of the carriage, and sat down opposite Salina.
The platinum-blond hair gleamed coldly under the dim light of the carriage. The boy's gaze fell back on Salina, and his expression changed subtly.
"Are you a freshman this year?"
Salina nodded slightly, "Yes."
"My name is Draco Malfoy. You must have heard of the Malfoy family, one of the oldest sacred pure-blood families." His voice was full of arrogance, trying to establish his unquestionable superiority through his name and family background.
Salina simply nodded briefly and calmly, and responded without any ripples in her eyes: "Salina Swinburne."
Draco frowned, "Swinburne? Are you a Muggle-born?"
Salina nodded, "Yes."
Draco's expression suddenly turned a little ugly, and a trace of disgust flashed in his gray-blue eyes.
He stopped talking, and the atmosphere in the car became quiet. Only the light from the window jumped between the two of them, sometimes bright and sometimes dim.
