Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 172 Ron's Adoration
After the greetings, Karkaroff turned around and waved behind him. As if he suddenly remembered something, he lowered his voice and said to Dumbledore: "By the way, I almost forgot to introduce you. This is Viktor Krum."
He explained apologetically, "The child hasn't been in good condition recently and has been taking medication, so he looks a little listless."
As he spoke, Karkaroff turned sideways and gently patted a tall but slightly thin figure behind him.
"Viktor, come here." The boy named Krum slowly raised his head, revealing a pale and thin face. In the deep eye sockets, there was a pair of dull and lifeless eyes.
He lowered his head, walked silently to Karkaroff, and then followed Karkaroff silently, stepping heavily into the ancient Hogwarts Castle.
Ron's eyes were as big as bells and his mouth was open so wide that he could almost fit a bag of Beebe's every-flavor beans in it.
He grabbed Harry's arm and babbled excitedly, "Merlin's beard! It's Viktor Krum! I can't believe it! He's the best Seeker in the world, bar none!"
"Look, there he is!" Ron pointed at the group of students at Durmstrang, almost jumping up with excitement, "I have to get an autograph, right now!"
Before Harry could react, Ron rushed out like an arrow and plunged into the crowd of Durmstrang students.
Hermione shook her head helplessly, took out parchment and a quill from her bag and handed them to Harry, "Take it, so your good friend won't have to come back to ask for it later."
Harry took what Hermione handed him and also smiled and shook his head.
……
Ron squeezed through the crowd with great effort and finally came to Krum. His face flushed and he stammered, "Hello, Mr. Krum. I'm your fan. Can you please sign an autograph for me?"
Krum raised his head and looked at Ron blankly, then looked at the parchment and quill in his hands, as if he had not yet realized what had happened.
Karkaroff frowned impatiently and was about to start a reprimand when he was interrupted by Dumbledore's gentle voice, "Viktor, this little wizard is your fan and he wants your autograph."
Krum finally understood. He hesitated for a moment, then slowly took the quill handed to him by Ron and signed his name on the parchment.
Ron held the autograph in his hands ecstatically, and was so excited that he was speechless for a long time.
At the same time, the students of Beauxbatons, led by Fleur, walked gracefully into the auditorium.
Gabrielle was full of curiosity about everything around her. She broke free from Fleur and ran excitedly to Salina, holding her hand and chattering non-stop, describing to her the wonderful sights she saw along the way.
Salina listened patiently, nodding in response from time to time, with a warm smile on her face all the time.
"Can I sit here?" Gabrielle asked softly, her tone a little shy but unable to hide her excitement.
Before Serena could reply, the Gryffindor children gave her a warm welcome.
"Of course!" Ron's cheerful voice rang out, and he waved enthusiastically to Gabrielle.
Harry smiled and nodded as well, gesturing to her in a friendly manner.
Hermione even more enthusiastically took Gabrielle's hand and pressed her into the seat next to her, as if she was afraid that she would suddenly change her mind.
Gabrielle was infected by the enthusiasm of the Gryffindors and a bright smile appeared on her face.
Her innocent character and sincere and friendly attitude quickly won the favor of everyone in Gryffindor. Everyone was deeply attracted to this lovely little girl, as if a ray of warm sunshine had shone into their hearts.
Professor McGonagall hurried into the Great Hall, trying to restore some semblance of order.
The noise died down as if by magic, and the students of Durmstrang returned to their seats with some reluctance.
Their large bodies squeezed around the long table looked out of place.
Malfoy walked up to Krum with a haughty manner, pretending to be familiar with him.
"Krum, come on, you and your friends should sit with us Slytherins." He invited in a pretentiously generous manner, but his eyes were full of ostentatious pride.
Krum looked at Malfoy expressionlessly, said nothing, and just sat silently in the empty seat at the Slytherin table.
Professor Karkaroff followed closely behind, scanning the surroundings with sharp eyes, as if warning of something.
Ron watched this scene and was so angry that his teeth were itching.
"What? Why should Krum sit with Slytherin? They just act pretentiously all day long!" He complained in a low voice, his tone full of dissatisfaction.
Hermione sighed helplessly and patted Ron's shoulder.
"Okay, don't be angry. Everyone has the right to choose their own seat, right?"
Harry looked thoughtfully in the direction of Slytherin. Krum's figure seemed to be shrouded in shadow, making him even more elusive.
Just then, Harry noticed a detail: Filch was struggling to move four chairs towards the staff table.
He felt a little strange, so he nudged Salina with his elbow, "Salina, look, what is Filch doing? Why is he adding a chair?"
Sharina followed Harry's gaze and guessed, "Well, it should be officials from the Ministry of Magic coming. They are going to host the opening ceremony of the Triwizard Tournament."
Furong walked lightly through the crowd, her robe drawing a graceful arc in the air.
She came to Gabrielle, patted her shoulder gently, and said softly in French: "Gabrielle, it's time to go back and don't disturb your friends."
Gabrielle stood up from the Gryffindor table reluctantly and waved goodbye to everyone before leaving.
"We'll see you later, everyone!"
Ron's eyes followed Fleur until she turned away gracefully, then he suddenly came to his senses.
His cheeks flushed and he stammered, "She... who is she? It's so... so incredible!"
Serena covered her mouth and chuckled, explaining, "That's Fleur Delacour, Gabrielle's sister. They are one-quarter Veela."
"Veela?" Ron's eyes widened, and he was even more surprised. "No wonder..."
Harry was also impressed by Fleur, but he quickly turned his attention to the other side and said to Ron with a smile: "Don't be silly, Ron, there are many good girls in Hogwarts."
"That's different!" Ron retorted, his tone full of longing for Fleur.
After hearing this, Hermione frowned slightly, a hint of displeasure flashed in her eyes, and her eyes narrowed unkindly.
