Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 190 Rose Wall

The dance ended with the last spin, the music died down and applause broke out.

Salina was breathing lightly, her face flushed from exercise, and she nodded politely to Michael in thanks.

However, before Michael could speak, Cedric had already strode over, with a hint of anxiety on his face. He grabbed Salina's hand and said in a tone that left no room for doubt: "Salina, I have something to tell you, come with me."

Serena was caught off guard, staggered, and almost stepped on the hem of her skirt.

She looked at Cedric in confusion, but found that Cedric was not looking at her. His eyes were fixed straight ahead, and there seemed to be a flame burning in his deep eyes.

"Cedric?" Salina tried to break free from his hand, but Cedric held it tightly and didn't allow her to refuse.

"Sorry, Michael, excuse me." Cedric said without looking back, pulled Salina across the dance floor and walked straight to the exit of the hall.

Michael stood there, watching the two people leaving, his brows slightly frowned, and a hint of displeasure flashed in his eyes.

Fleur stood there, watching Serena being pulled away by Cedric, a hint of mixed emotions flashing in her beautiful blue eyes.

"In fact, the person you wanted to invite was Salina." Furong turned to look at Michael beside her, with a hint of understanding in her tone.

Michael shrugged and didn't deny it, "Yeah."

"Don't you want to hide it at all? You are really a scum." Furong smiled contemptuously.

"I am your dance partner. Won't you dance with me?" Michael stretched out his hand and made an invitation gesture, not feeling embarrassed at all by Furong's words.

Fleur took a step back, avoiding Michael's hand, "No, please stay away from me."

"How cold." Michael withdrew his hand and said in a hurt tone.

"I don't think a guy like you is qualified to say such things." Furong looked at him coldly, turned around gracefully while lifting her skirt, and left without looking back.

Michael looked at Furong's departing back, the smile on his face gradually disappeared, and a hint of gloom flashed in his eyes.

……

Outside the castle, snowflakes fell gently, covering the ground with a thin layer of white gauze.

Salina wrapped Cedric's coat tightly around her body. The warm breath mixed with a hint of woody scent made her feel at ease.

Cedric walked beside her, his tall figure blocking some of the wind and snow for her.

They strolled along the cobbled path, past a thick wall of roses.

The bright red petals are dotted with crystal snowflakes, which are particularly dazzling in the silver world, like flames in winter, burning with passion and hope.

"It's so beautiful..." Salina stopped and gently stroked a rose covered with snowflakes, and couldn't help but exclaim in admiration.

"You are more beautiful." Cedric looked at her with a gentle smile on his face.

Salina felt her heart beating wildly, and Cedric's eyes were so scorching that she almost dared not look directly at him.

She turned her head away, avoiding Cedric's gaze, reached out and gently touched the snowflakes on the rose beside her, and asked calmly, "So, what do you want to tell me?"

Cedric looked at her like this and the smile on his face deepened.

He took a step forward, and the distance between them instantly shortened. Salina could even feel the heat coming from him.

"Actually, you already know what I want to say, don't you?" Cedric's voice was low and magnetic, as if it carried some kind of magic, which made Salina's heart beat a little faster.

Salina didn't say anything, but just lowered her head, her fingers unconsciously pinching the branches and leaves of the rose. Snowflakes fluttered down, landing on her hair and shoulders, as if covering her with a hazy veil.

"Actually, I just don't want you to get too close to Michael. That guy has too many little tricks up his sleeve." Cedric's voice was filled with a barely perceptible hint of jealousy. He looked at Salina, her figure reflected in his deep eyes, "You know, I've always..."

"So are you jealous?" Salina finally couldn't help but raised her head and interrupted him, with a sly smile in her clear eyes.

"Yes, I'm jealous!" Cedric was stunned by her sudden question, then admitted it frankly. He held Salina's hand and stared at her with burning eyes, "So when are you going to agree to me?"

Salina's hand was wrapped in Cedric's warm big hand. She felt her cheeks getting hot and her heart seemed to be beating out of her chest.

She tried to pull her hand back, but found that Cedric's grip was so tight that she couldn't break free.

"I..." Salina opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but didn't know what to say.

At this moment, rustling footsteps suddenly came from the rose wall next to them, followed by the voices of two men.

"Snape, that man is coming back!" A man lowered his voice with an obvious tremor in his tone. He rubbed his hands nervously, as if trying to draw a little comfort from the warmth of his palms.

"I know this without you telling me." Snape's voice was low, with a hint of subtle tension in his tone.

He impatiently tucked a strand of hair that had fallen from his forehead behind his ear, revealing his pale profile.

"The Dark Mark on my hand has been getting hot. He is calling us...what should we do?" The man's voice became smaller and smaller, and at the end it almost became a low whisper.

He nervously reached into his pocket, as if trying to grab something to seek a sense of security.

"Karkaroff, I haven't seen you for a few years. How come you have become so timid?" Snape's tone was full of sarcasm. "If you are really scared, then run away quickly. Retreat back to your Durmstrang like a turtle hiding in its shell."

"Aren't you afraid at all, Snape?" Karkaroff's voice rose several pitches, with a hint of obvious annoyance. "Aren't you prepared to accept his call?"

Snape was silent for a while, as if thinking about something. After a while, he slowly said: "At least now I plan to stay here, stay in Hogwarts."

"Do you think Dumbledore can protect you?" Karkaroff asked with a hint of doubt in his voice.

"Keep your voice down. Are you going to tell the world that you are a Death Eater?" Snape scolded impatiently in a low voice, "Although this may not be a secret for a long time."

……

The two people's voices gradually faded away and disappeared.

Salina and Cedric looked at each other, both a little surprised.

The identities of the two people speaking were already clear: Snape and Karkaroff.
