Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 31 Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine classes are usually held in the school's greenhouse, which is filled with all kinds of exotic plants and mysterious herbs. The air in the classroom is filled with the smell of moist earth and the mixed aroma of various plants.

The interior of the greenhouse is lush and green, with sunlight filtering through the glass dome, illuminating the neat rows of plant racks.

The young wizards, dressed in their respective school robes and heavy rubber gloves, handled plants that might spray juice or have thorns with caution.

Professor Sprout walked down the aisle, her robes trailing on the ground, explaining to the young wizards the properties and uses of each plant.

Sometimes she picked up a leaf to show its special texture; sometimes she carefully picked fruit from a plant and let the little wizards observe its color and shape.

Today's lesson is about the root of awakening, a plant that can be used to make an energizing drink.

It looks ordinary, but if not handled properly, it will suddenly flip up and scare the unwarned little wizard half to death.

The young wizards gathered around a piece of awakening root and listened to Professor Sprout explain how to safely harvest the root, which is very important for making potions such as awakening soup.

As the class progressed, the little wizards either excitedly talked about the strange uses of plants, or nervously handled the plants, hoping to complete the tasks correctly according to the instructions.

The herbal medicine class is not only a study of botany, but also a test of patience, meticulousness and courage.

After two herbal medicine classes, Salina shook off the medicine dust on her apron and followed the bustling crowd to the open space in front of the castle.

Many young wizards have already gathered here, and the laughter and conversation are mixed together, full of youthful vitality.

Flying brooms of various colors were lined up in a neat row on the ground, waiting for their owners to arrive.

Salina stood in the middle of the team. She looked at her broom - a broom that looked a little worn out.

Madam Hooch, the flying lesson teacher, a witch with sharp eyes behind her glasses, stood in front of the team, and her voice was clearly heard by every little wizard.

"Okay, kids, let's get started."

For most of the freshmen, the knack of controlling a broomstick is elusive, and flying becomes a series of out-of-control farces.

The whistling sound of the wind and the panicked shouting intertwined to form a series of absurd pictures.

However, Salina was one of the few outliers among the freshmen. She wielded the broom, drawing smooth arcs in the air and rarely stumbled.

Ginny also performed very well. Behind Madam Hooch's glasses, her eyes were as sharp as an eagle, and she quickly noticed those unusual behaviors.

She nodded slightly, gave a smile to the little wizards who performed well, then turned her attention to those little wizards who performed poorly and began to teach them patiently and carefully.

After class, Salina walked leisurely towards the castle gate, but saw groups of people gathered on the Quidditch field. The air seemed to be filled with a tense atmosphere.

She took a few steps closer and through the gaps between the crowd, she made out a group of Quidditch players wearing the iconic red Gryffindor uniforms and green Slytherin uniforms.

The two teams stood opposite each other at the edge of the field, their faces looking quite serious.

It seems to be the training time for the Quidditch team now, but generally each college's team has its own separate playground time period, and this time they actually bumped into each other.

Some people waved their arms, looking very aggressive, and the air around them seemed to vibrate with their roars.

The slightly dazzling sunlight shone down from the azure sky, casting its shadow on the group of little wizards, outlining their angry or confused faces.

Salina narrowed her eyes and found that in the center of the crowd, Draco Malfoy was saying something to Hermione in his arrogant tone.

Then Harry was about to rush forward, and Ron was holding up his broken wand, which was broken in two, and pointing it at Malfoy excitedly.

"You're going to pay for this, Malfoy!" Ron's voice echoed throughout the venue.

Salina felt an inexplicable premonition. Just as she was about to call for a stop, a huge explosion drowned out all other sounds.

A beam of green light shot out from the back of the broken wand and hit Ron's abdomen with lightning speed.

Ron staggered two steps and fell to the ground.

"Ron! Are you okay?" Hermione screamed.

Ron tried to reply but nothing came out except hiccups and slugs.

The atmosphere on the training ground froze for a moment, and then suddenly broke out into chaotic laughter and screams.

The members of the Slytherin team could no longer suppress their emotions and burst into laughter. Some of them even fell to the ground and couldn't straighten up.

The one who laughed the loudest was Captain Flint, who slumped to the ground, supporting himself with his broom, almost laughing to tears.

Malfoy, the focus of the whole conflict, was laughing unscrupulously, falling forward and backward. He got on all fours and pounded the ground with his fists.

The Gryffindor team members stood in a circle and looked down at Ron, who kept spitting out large shiny slugs from his mouth.

The only sounds in the air were laughter and the slugs that came out when Ron burped. No one dared to approach or touch him.

Amidst this chaos, Hermione's voice revealed tension and worry as she tried to maintain order and stop this absurd farce.

"That's enough! Stop laughing! Ron needs help!"

Her words did not stop the laughter, but instead seemed to add fuel to the fire, making the situation even more uncontrollable and making her anxious.

Hermione took a deep breath and reached into the large pocket of her robes to pull out her wand.

She stared at Ron, who was lying on the ground and hiccuping, and her heart was burning with anxiety.

As she quickly recited a series of complex spells, a bright light flashed at the tip of the wand, like a morning star at night, which was particularly eye-catching.

"Stop!" Hermione's voice was firm and powerful. The light from her wand instantly shot towards Ron. It seemed that everything stopped at this moment.

However, the beam of light exploded gently in front of Ron, like a soap bubble bursting in the sun, silently but quickly.

Ron didn't seem to notice that the spell had failed. He continued to burp, and each slug shone like fresh bubble gum.

Seeing this, Hermione frowned in disbelief. Her Stop Spell was clearly a powerful weapon to stop this kind of small spell, but it didn't work today.

"How, how could this happen...?" Hermione murmured to herself, with surprise and worry that was difficult to conceal.

She raised her wand again, determined to find out what the problem was, or at the very least, to relieve Ron of a little embarrassment and discomfort.

Ron's classmates all looked at him with concern and helplessness, but no one could offer any help.

They all knew that Hermione had always been considered a top student and she almost never failed in spells, which was why her nervousness and confusion infected the people around her.

In such a solemn atmosphere, Hermione chanted the spell again, and the tip of the wand flashed again, but everything was in vain.

Ron's body was not controlled by reason and continued to produce batch after batch of slugs, like an unstoppable arms production line.

Hermione was Hermione after all, and even in such an embarrassing predicament, she did not give up trying.

Her determination did not diminish and she raised her wand once more, this time more carefully and with greater concentration.

However, with each failure of the spell, her uneasiness grew.

This time was no exception, the spell failed again.

Hermione stood there, her hands trembling slightly, and she finally realized that today's embarrassing situation could not be solved by her spell.

Salina pushed through the crowd and walked straight to Hermione, gently placing her hands on her trembling shoulders and giving her a comforting touch.

Hermione raised her head, a gleam in her eyes, and she seemed to find some support from Sharina.

"Okay! We should send Ron to the school infirmary. Madam Pomfrey will know how to deal with the situation." Her words were like a breeze, dispelling Hermione's anxiety.

Fred and George moved quickly, carefully lifting the still-hiccuping Ron and moving carefully through the thinning crowd.

Harry and Hermione followed closely behind. Hermione's face showed deep worry. She looked back at Ron from time to time, her heart full of worry.

When they arrived at the door of the school infirmary, Madam Pomfrey had already come out to greet them. She glanced sharply at Ron's condition, then used her experienced gestures to signal the young wizards to put Ron on the bed.

"Don't worry, children." Madam Pomfrey's voice was gentle but firm. "I will take care of it."

Harry and Hermione finally found a sense of comfort and peace in Madam Pomfrey's confident posture.
